Had Easter lunch. Delicious food. Restaurant was COVID safe.
My wife and I have been going to the Colorado Springs Macaroni Grill since they opened and we continue to get great food and GREAT service every time.
Used Ipen Table to
Waited 2 hours for our food. They o my had two cooks working. The server repeatedly apologized for the restaurant and told us that she would discount our order since we waited for 2 hours+ with a three year old. Never discounted anything, food was mediocre, we will not be going back.
We arrived 15 minutes before the reservation and weren't seated for 30 minutes. Our poor waitress was never able to give us any kind of service due to being overwhelmed with complaints from other customers. 60 minutes later our salads showed up. All the while other servers kept piling dishes next to our booth. Finally the manager came to speak with us. Told us that we would have food shortly. Fast forward to 9:00. Manager told us that we would finally have food in about ten minutes, which never arrived. Kids were tired, wife was furious and we all had enough of the runaround. Worst birthday dinner ever!
Food was mediocre. Salmon was very overcooked almost burnt on the outside and dry throughout. Kitchen was quite slow given that we arrived at 5:30 pm with only a handful of diners in the restaurant. Waitress service was just OK. It had been a couple of years since our last visit to this restaurant and I would say it has gone downhill a bit.
My pasta was over cooked and mushy, but otherwise it was good.
Great pasta and bread as always. Chocolate cake is a treat as well.
Took over an hour to get the meal that was bland. Portions were very small and prices were crazy high. No apologies or anything from staff or management for taking over an hour to get the meal served. Waste of money. Sad because pre-COVID it was a great restaurant.
Everything was fine upon arrival and seating. My sister and I placed our orders, ( steak and mash potatoes)we started to notice that people who arrived after we arrived were already eating. Then we noticed that there was only one cook behind the grill. After another 15-20 minutes of waiting , the Cesar salad I ordered finally came to the table. The chicken was burnt and the shrimp were under cooked. It took forever for our waiter to come back to the table, and when he finally did , I politely told old him that the salad was horrible. He apologized and stated that he will remove the salad from my bill. After another 15-20 minutes of waiting, the manager approached our table and told us that the steaks we ordered were already up but they weren’t cooked how we ordered them to be cooked. She offered to have them cooked again, but my sister and I were so displeased with the service we politely declined. The manager felt that it was unfair to charge us for “waiting “ on food, so she cancelled our bill out and apologized for the inconvenience
Macaroni Grill used to be my favorite place to be but has gone down hill due to covid effect. Very disappointed that couldn't offer tea or coffee.
The food was amazing but my dish could’ve came with more to eat for the price
Waited over hour for food. Chicken burnt and spaghetti cold. People that came in after us got their food before we did. Requested manager. This was the worst experience at this place. Waitress was new but okay with her service. Took food home manager paid for our dinner. Ate it the next day and it tasted horrible. Won’t be coming back to this location. Very sad way to spend our 39th anniversary.
I HAVE NEVER HAD A NEGATIVE EXPERIENCE AT MACARONI GRILL. IT IS ONE OF MY VERY FAVORITE ITALIAN RESTAURANTS AND I RETURN AS OFTEN AS I CAN. IT IS ALWAYS A GREAT EXPERIENCE WHETHER FOR A QUICK LUNCH OR A LASTING DINNER TIME.
On a recent visit to Romano's Macaroni Grill in Colorado Spring, we had an outstanding visit. We were quickly greeted and seated. We both ordered Chicken Scaponi for lunch. Bread arrived quickly and was delicious with the dippping oil. The entrees were outstanding and the service was excellent. Our visit was very pleasant and we both enjoyed it very much.
Came in on Feb 14th and we had to wait a long time even have a reservation and then when we finally got seated we waited about 20mins to have our drinks brought to our table and when we order you were out of everything we want and had to order food that came cold and then our dinner salad never came out and was charged for it not happy was one of the most terrible Valentine's day we have ever had . Will not be recommending your restaurant to and of our friend nor family and will be putting this on yelp as well
were sat in the back behind the bar right next to the door and kept getting blasted with cold air. food took an hour and a half to get to us; restaurant felt unprepared for valentine’s day rush. some people were waiting an hour just for takeout. waitress never had a chance to check up on us because she was getting hounded at the bar, and none of the other waitstaff took notice either. food was subpar when it finally got to us; definitely not worth the wait. overall poor experience, and we would not come back again.
The lasagna was mushy, like it had been made a week earlier, frozen, thawed out, reheated and served. The lobster bisque tasted store bought, and the wine ordered was not the wine served. Oh, and my card was accidentally charged three times.
It was horrible cool out the step were not properly removed of snow, the place was cold even though the fireplace is there. they had a special menu but had already ran out of items & this is at 6:30 pm.
First when we showed up they didn't have my reservation in the system and they promised me I would be the next one seated. Then multiple others got seated and I complained and they wrote my name down behind other people that were walk ins. I complained more and they moved my name up and we were seated. Once seated everything was good.
Service was excellent, will be back.
If you like good Italian Food, this is the place..
I'm a macaroni grill fanboy. I'll eat that bread all day. Great experience as usual without having to drop hundreds of dollars. Obviously will go again!
I miss the little trick the waiter/waitress would do when they greet you for the first time and write their name upside down. Also miss having the crayons to leave my awful drawings everywhere, but I imagine this was stopped due to COVID.
Macaroni Grill definitely has a nostalgia factor for me. I would go there for every birthday as a kid with my parents and still love going today. Everyone has their place!
P.S. simple and tasty menu. That's all you need!
Good food. Portions are a little small with some dishes. Good margarita.
We arrived for lunch and there was only one waiter to cover the entire restaurant and bar area. Service was extremely slow since the waiter was slow and there was no back up.
We wanted to have a nice lunch at this restaurant but the noise level was unacceptable. Don't appreciate the "snippy" response from the manager saying "this is necessary food prep", making us feel like our complaint was not justified.
Everything was great from the beginning. Service, food and atmosphere. We look forward to returning soon.
Our server was great, however it was very obvious that the kitchen was having issues plating food and delivering on time for any patron.
Our server was friendly and attentive and there was ample distancing between tables. The food tasted OK but was packed with salt. The clue should have been the beer and wine list, which was of the cheap sports bar variety.
Excellent menu choices and very well prepared. The only drawback is that I tended to eat more than I should have but we left the restaurant quite happy with both the food and the service. This is a very nice restaurant located in an area of natural ambiance and I would readily recommend it.
Since my reservation was early and the evening was perfect our choice was to have dinner outside. It was very pleasant, the food great, as always, and our waitress was so good and took such good care of us..
The restaurant was very cold but they did turn the temp up a little bit when we asked about it. My wife also went and got a blanket out of the car. It took quite a while to get our drinks and a full hour before we got our food. When we did get our food, it was warm but not hot. We got to-go boxes, took our food home with us and had it the next day. This is probably the worst experience we’ve ever had at a restaurant, and that is saying a lot. I try to remain positive and understanding with the whole Covid situation, but that was really inexcusable. In her defense, the manager did comp our meal and apologize profusely. I really hope they get their act together because we’ve always liked this place.
The food was delicious. I would highly recommend it.
Went for our 19th anniversary and dinner was wonderful.
Our go to Italian restaurant for special occasions. Staff and service are always great!
Our service was fair. Our server was probably having a bad day... pray that her day gets better
Nice server but extremely slow service to get our food. It wasn’t busy so it was disappointing how long I everything took
Awesome and enjoyable
great food. glad to be able to dine in. xxxxxxxxx
My food wasn't delivered with my wife's. But glad to see that the restaurant is open and waiters and cooks are working! We can adjust to the changes that are occurring and I'm sure the restaurant will as well.
We would eat here more often if it was closer to home. The food has always been delicious. Our service is usually outstanding, however, on our last visit, our waiter seemed to forget we were at his table. He was friendly and nice, it's just he was not that attentive to us. But 95 percent of the time we have a great server. The dishes are large enough to split if you want to.
