   Food was great and server was attentive to us. Service over all however and food times were slow. Restaurant was maybe a third full. Mainly when we arrived for Our reservation at 8 PM there was no host to greet us for 10 minutes before anyone said anything and all I heard is I’ll be right with you… It was 20 minutes before anyone got us started to honor the reservation… then waited a little bit longer for our table to be ready. This wouldn’t be a big deal if I had walked in but I had made a reservation and as a result we didn’t start our dinner till 8:30 PM a full half hour after our reservation start time.

   Took Mom for Mother’s Day. On special holidays, we never typically have a high expectation of being overly serviced, as the staff tends to be overwhelmed with people that only go out for special occasions. That was NOT the case this Mother’s Day Sunday. We had 1 o’clock reservations, we were seated as soon as we got there at 1 o’clock. That was the 1st plus, as I expected there could be a bit of a wait. Next our server, Carley, was amazing! Always making sure we had what we needed. Never skipped a beat. Was on top of refills, without hesitation. For being an Italian restaurant, the steak special was out of this world! The steak was cooked to perfection, thanks to the watchful eye of the manager. She made sure our meal was delivered hot, and the steak was cooked to the right temperatures. It was a great day to celebrate Mom! And thanks to the macaroni grill, we had a great meal and a wonderful afternoon! We give this restaurant an A++

   As soon as we walked in the place it smelled really bad and my child dropped her crayons underneath the table as we reached to get them we noticed that there was a lot of old Lemon slices and facemask and who knows what other stuff was their also their floors were super filthy would not go back

   Worst place In Bakersfield to eat. They should close down. They had two servers for the entire restaurant and no bartender. Worst service!

   Hadn't been to Macaroni Grill since before the pandemic. Not what I remembered, but then everything has changed. Ordered Lasagne Bites, received fried mozzarella.

    Had a reservation for 7:45 did not get our food until after 930. Had our drinks refilled one time the whole time we sat there. Once we got the check we just went to the front to pay, did not have any desire to sit there another hour to have our ticket taken care of. There was another couple that came in 45 min after us. Once we got our food they just walked out as theirs was still no where in sight.

    Service was not bad, but the way they organized the night was awful. Since we got to the door to the time we received our food was over two hours with a reservation.

    This restaurant was clearly overwhelmed by the Valentines Day crowd. We were served bread and wine for two hours after our 7:00 p.m. reservation time. My wife and I finally gave up and left without a meal, but a heafty $35.00 bill for a glass of wine and appetizers.

    Don’t go celebrate Valentine’s Day, wait time to get my table was 45 min even with reservation. Time to get our food was another 30 min. Food was good and my waiter apologized for the long time waiting.

    We had not been here for a long time so thought we would do an early dinner on Valentine’s Day and beat the crowds. We had a reservation and the crowd was light but the maitre de sat us next to the kitchen, and near a family with 3 kids. Our waitress was kind enough to offer to move us but we decided not to fuss about it. Turned out that we should have moved. I had the lasagne bolognese and it was good…not great. Salad was fresh, Mediterranean dressing was light but tasteful. The bread was excellent! Wife is a light eater and ordered the lobster bisque for her meal. It was way too salty for either of out tastes. Also did not have Stella Artois in stock., which was just slightly annoying. Wife love the peach sangria. Overall, not a bad experience but not good enough to displace our regular go-to choices for Italian food in Bakersfield.

    Great night ! My wife and I celebrated our anniversary and the manager brought us a delightful dessert on the house to congratulate us . It was very kind. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a special eve.The salmon was sublime !

    We were glad to have a place to eat on Christmas Day. The food was good but the service staff were overwhelmed and under trained: initial drink orders came right before the entrees, which actually beat our appetizers to the table. A table of loud hearing-challenged guests arrived as we were served, commenting repeatedly on their various chronic health issues and the latest gossip about their priest. Merry Christmas.

    Sunday night dinner - took over 1 hour to get our food , and it was lukewarm … we told the wait staff and they didn’t apologize or even offer to make it right ; food tasted fine.

    We got to the restaurant and the person in charge would not seat us. I showed him the reservations and he said had groups ahead of us. The reservation didn’t mean a thing to him or the restaurant. We had to sit at the bar. Never going back.

    We waited an hour to be served our dinner and when it came it was cold. Service was terrible and the waitress never apologized for the delay. We eat often at Romano's Macaroni grill at other locations but this one was a terrible experience

    Being there was a lack of restaurant help, our meal experience was pretty good. The block of bread that was served to us seemed old and hard, very hard to cut. My meal, a create your own and was very good, but could have used a bit more sauce. The italian sausage was very good, asparagus wasn't par boiled and raw, but still was a good dish. My husband had the chicken marsala, he said it was good but the chicken was pounded too thin. Otherwise a good dish.

    I used Open Table for a 7:00pm reservation for 2 at Romano’s Macaroni Grill in Bakersfield, CA. When we arrived, we were told that there are not accepting any type of reservations for tonight at their restaurant. This experience made me furious with both Open Table and their restaurant. Never have I had this negative experience before using Open Table. The link to Open Table is on their website. We were there on time and thought everything would go smoothly. They were going to place us on a long list of customers ahead of us to get into the restaurant. So, we left.

    Very disappointed after confirming my reservation in the afternoon, arrive for my 6pm reservation to find the restaurant completely closed. If you can automate the reservation and confirmation process, you should also message the closed process.
