Well, where do I begin? The menu has changed and a salad is not included with an entre - disappointing. The incredible bread with herbed olive oil is now frozen not fresh bread with olive oil and cracked pepper - also disappointing. In the party of 7, 2 meals came out at least 10 minutes earlier than the other 5. The server never delivered a second round of drink that was ordered and did not bring water with the first though we later requested water and received it. Two people ordered pizzas and one was over cooked and the other under done. I made reservations for the large party, and even though the restaurant was not busy our table was not ready when we arrived on time - 5 minutes early. The food was generally good, but not what it used to be.
Waited 25 minutes to be seated. Waitress wasn’t very good. Won’t go back.
The food was great. But it was Valentine's Day evening. So the porterhouse I had ordered was no longer available by 7:30 p.m. So that was a disappointment. So I ordered the same braised lamb shank that my wife had ordered. It came with butternut squash mashed potatoes. It was a fantastic substitute and more than made up for the disappointment of not getting the porterhouse. The braised lamb shank will be on my "try to repeat" list. The lemon passion dessert was new to the menu and an incredibly memorable dessert. Service was good overall, but due to the high customer volume, you saw the waiter less frequently than normal. So we had to wait a longer than normal time for drink refills or appetizer. This is not normal for Macaroni Grill, however, which prides itself on waiter training and prompt service. The meal was well-priced for the quality and the ambience.
Food was served cold, wait staff was slow. I used to love this place.... it has hit an all time low! I will never go back.
We waited over an hour to be seated once seated we were never greeted offered water or anyone to take our order. We got up and left and won't be back
We’re big fans of Macaroni Grill and often find ourselves there for special occasions. The food is good and there is rarely a wait. I received an email of their Valentine’s special and the ability to set a reservation in advance and jumped on it. Also saw a sale on gift cards, so the whole 3 course meal for two only cost $35.
We arrived to a packed house with several couples waiting to be seated. But when we got to the hostess and gave her our name, we were immediately seated at a researched table in a private section. Gotta love that! Everything was on point until our waiter arrived.
Clearly the guy was having a bad night. He was slow and inattentive, with a fragile and feigned sense of concern and care for any of the guests he was serving. We noticed issues with his other tables, requiring manager intervention on more than one occasion. Any other night he probably would have been sent home.
I won’t belabor the point, but our experience with him ended on a sour note. It was an unfortunate end to an otherwise delightful Valentine’s evening.
Food came to the table cold, it took a long period of time for the restaurant to bring out a hot meal.
Bad service. Couldn’t find server for quite awhile. And who brings a cup of coffee without a spoon. Never offered cream or sugar. Brought leftover containers but no bag. Disappointing since it was our Valentines Dinner. Not busy either. Another server brought our check.
We had a very nice dinner, with excellent service by Britttany. The warm bread was done well. We opted for the unlimited soup side for $2.50 extra... Well worth it. Portions were more than adequate - we took most of the meal home with us -- Oh yeah - the stuffed mushrooms were OMG good!
I honestly dislike giving poor star reviews. However, I hope the management uses this as a learning experience. We had reservations for a large party - on the books for four weeks. We confirmed twice (via Opentable the day before and a phone call from the restaurant the morning of). We were the only table in the restaurant for almost 2 hours. They only had one server for our table and the whole restaurant and he also doubled as the bartender. It was a series of events too numerous to name that caused our entire table to have a very poor experience. The server did the best to his ability. But, the manager should have helped him out in taking care of their only table in the restaurant. That’s where I feel the downfall is to an establishment. It starts at the top...
Everything was great! They had my table ready immediately. The food was awesome. Our waitress Brittany was awesome. It was a great time
Did not have enough Staff to support crowd. Overall Bad experience.
Reservation did not matter at all at this location. First come, first served.
Our waiter was the slowest waiter that we have ever had anywhere! We eat at Macaroni Grill fairly often and we have never had such a slow waiter. His name was Blake although the name on our receipt said Robert. He was a nice young man, but he had no sense of urgency at all and he could not double-task at all. We waited about 15 minutes before he realized we were even there. We ordered drinks and he brought out our appetizers about 15 minutes later. We asked another waiter about our drinks and we finally got them. When we finished our entrees, we sat there at least another 15 minutes before we were able to wave him down and order our desserts. It took another 15 minutes for him to bring them out. We also had to wait a very long time for our check. This was around 6:20 pm and the restaurant was not even close to being full. The other 3 tables that he was waiting on were also having the same problems we were. We will return because we love Macaroni Grill, but if he is our waiter, we will ask to be moved to another waiter.
Restaurant was not prepared for for the amount of people
On Xmas evening Dinner.
Reservations was at 6:30pm party of 4
We were seated around 7:00pm served main corse around 7:45pm
I do understand it was Christmas and thankful they were open but the management should have been better prepared.
I never give anything a bad review, but I used to work at Macaroni Grill and I'm at a loss as to how it's still in business. We left before we got sat. Guests were leaving without being served, complaining there was no silverware and service was terribly slow. All but one server looked miserable, nobody was in a hurry to do anything, and the hostess was a bit condescending. I understand that they were working on Christmas and that sucks but they were clearly short staffed and I'm sure that didn't help anyone's attitude. If a restaurant can't be prepared for business on a day like that, they should close and let the employees stay home with their families. This was on the management, not the staff. I made the reservation under the assumption that the restaurant was prepared to do business on Christmas. I was sadly mistaken.
Went for our reservation on Christmas Eve and the restaurant failed to put our reservation and everyone else who reserved online on their books. They said we would have to wait 45 minutes. We left and will not go back again. They almost ruined our Christmas Eve.
service was slow, they were out of ice tea, also out glasses, served our water (since they were out of ice tea)in styrofoam cups, took almost one hour for our food to arrive after we ordered.
We had made reservations for Christmas Day. We got there on time and they still had us wait over 15 minutes. When I got tired of waiting, I asked the hostess how long we had to wait and she said that there were two people ahead of us.
After waiting for a while I went up to her again and I told her that we had made reservations for 3:30 and it was well past that time. After a while she seated us.
Our waitress was not very good. We asked her for some extra bread and totally ignored us. She kept walking by us but would not make eye contact. I got tired of waiting for the extra bread and so I asked another waitress that passed by and she brought us the bread as soon as I asked her for it. I needed a refill of my tea and our waitress never asked if she could refill it. I definitely do not recommend this place.
The food was very creative and very tasty. Service needs more training, but understandable since it was Xmas day.
My family and I wanted to have a great Christmas dinner here. Unfortunately we had to use styrofoam cups because there was no glass and it took forever for us to get silverware and bread. When our food came it was delicious and warm. Overall a decent experience. Just negatively impacted by having to use styrofoam when paying $25 for a steak.
Great service and great food. Thank you!
Our server basically shoved us off when we didn’t order appetizers or alcohol. A table had been sat 10 minutes after us and she took good care of them before coming to us. Our salads were not brought until after the entree when we ended up telling the manager, who brought our entree out, that we didn’t want them anymore and he completely understood. The waitress however, basically forced the salads on us after the fact. She never came back until time for the check, which took a long time to get. We had our card sitting out and the manager noticed so he took it to process. But when the waitress came back to return our card she plopped the check book down on the table and kept walking.
We have never had trouble with this restaurant as far as I can remember especially with the food. Well, this time around it was sub-par.
We were only the second group that came in that morning so really there were no excuses. To be honest we haven’t come in awhile but always remember the food as being good and the prices were reasonable. Well the prices have gone up. I will talk about my food because, honestly, my families’ were nothing extraordinary either. Anyways, I ordered Eggs Benedict as they were preparing it a different way with pesto basil hollandaise sauce. Love trying new things. So this dish was so disappointing as they cooked the eggs hard boiled. Yes hard boiled not poached as described. They weren’t busy yet and could have taken their time with this. The waitress offered to get them to re do it but really why when the whole family was already eating. So, not worth the prices for the meals (breakfast/brunch) we were served.
The food was awesome. Our server seemed to be new and forgot our drinks and other things. But, she was very nice and all turned out well. We appreciated her working on Thanksgiving. Would highly recommend!
Food was delicious. Service very good, waitress was personable and very friendly.
Food tasted bland, salad seemed pre-cut, bread was good. The sausage rigatoni featured small pieces of ground up sausage, very little. Restaurant quiet, looks nice.
The food is usually great, but it was a little salty today. They advertise unlimited mimosas, but they actually cut you off at some point. I'm not sure why because there can't be much alcohol in them. The server was cool, but they messed up our bill badly, so our meal was comped. Overall, it wasn't too bad.
We have been going to Mac Grill for a long time and it is always very satisfying with good food and a good selection of wines. Good for groups also.
The University location accommodated us several times for big groups at the very end of opening hours and we could stay a bit longer.
Your General Manager has stopped caring. He has let his cooks take over in a bad way. The food here used to be delicious and taste like someone in the kitchen cared about their job. Now, it has gone down the tubes. It's a shame.
Great food, excellent service
Our server, Whitney, was OUTSTANDING. We had a large, last minute group of 15 and she was VERY patient with us and had a great sense of humor. Food was great and came out fairly quickly.
The food and drinks were very good, but a little pricey. Our server, however, was not very good. Maybe he was new.
Our anniversary! Everything was great!
This used to be our favorite family place, man has it gone downhill. Bread was overly salty, spinach artichoke dip was cold, penne rustica (usually the best pasta dish EVER) tasted like nothing but microwaved chicken and garlic.
We went there for Father's Day. Everyone loved their food and our waiter (Guy) was great! It had been several years since we had been there and we all wondered why we waited so long to go back!
The calamari quantity was smaller than expected for sharing. We have ordered this before from the same restaurant different locations. Also bread was not fresh. Pizza was good. The pasta had too much sauce and only 2 pcs of scallops and 5-6 Shrimps. Very disappointed. Must be the location as we have been satisfied in the past from another location
Service was excellent, house wine very good, food delicious. My husbands food was hot, mine was warm. I like hot food, but it was not worth sending back to the kitchen. The house salad was unexpectedly delicious. The light salad dressing and mixed greens was delicious. We ate early on a Sunday (5:30) so it was not busy. I had the ravioli with cheese stuffing which I thought somewhat overpriced for four pieces. Eggplant parmigiana that might husband had was the best we ever had. Thanks Macaroni Grill for the delicious meal.
Have always gotten a great meal here! There is a good variety of dinner choices and food is delivered to the table quickly. Caprese chicken is my choice! Delicious!
