The decor of this restaurant is very nice, and the service was excellent. The food however was very disappointing. The house salad (which cost $8) had white crunchy ends of the lettuce and some grape tomatoes. The dressing was fine but there was far too much of it, and over 1/2 of it was inedible. I ordered a pasta dish with shrimp and scallops that was very dried out with very little sauce. The shrimp were tiny, tiny and extremely over cooked. The prices are very reasonable - perhaps increase the prices a bit to purchase high quality lettuce and other ingredients to improve upon the caliber of the food.

We were greeted kindly and quickly by the friendly hostess. Our server was extremely nice, knowledgeable, and did a terrific job with check-in points. The tables are too small (with the large light, b&b plates, wine glasses, water glasses, then food plates). We barely had room. The steak bruschetta was well done and had a burnt taste - didn’t understand the topping - it lacked flavor. Every bread component from the basket of bread, bruschetta to the croutons were all too hard. The calamari was small and also lacked seasoning. Caesar dressing needs a punch. The homemade pasta was very good, however, the sauces were bland. We did enjoy the Chianti wine feature. Service was great, but the food was mediocre - was hoping for more robust Italian flavors.

Three couples had dinner following a matinee Broadway in Indy. First time to this restaurant. Fresh pasta dishes were outstanding as were the Chicken and Lamb lollipops. Salads and homemade bread with olive oil/balsamic dip rounded out our meals. Delish!

Server WAS incredible. I didn't feel well, I ordered a club soda. Our server came back to our table with hot water & lemon & an extra club soda! W0W! That's service! Calamari sauce was good, however, maybe 8 small pieces of calamari & cornbread or panko which was weird to me. I've ordered Calamari 100x's and prefer straight calamari with no filler.

The entirety of our party of 5 loved the meals and the wine and alcohol selection. Will definitely go again. Only caveat - their calamari is quite different that the norm. Although served on a platter, it has "stew-like" qualities. It was good; just different.

We had the most fabulous, delicious, beautiful evening at Roma Ristorante this evening. Everything we ordered was spectacular including the sautéed calamari, roasted Brussels sprouts, eggplant appetizer- it’s very special, and the variety of salads and everyone’s entrees.. grouper, salmon, the steak and the pastas… just incredibly superb. Our server Jasmine was the kindest, most organized, friendliest, most attentive and most “beyond amazing” server ever.. she is so beyond anyone we have ever had by far.. so attentive and her heart is so generous.. she just thought of us all night and did absolutely everything for us, before we found even ask. Jasmine is beyond a 5 star sever… way above that and she is just a gem and made the entire evening sparkle like her smile. It was just a wonderful evening in every way - the spectacular food and Jasmine being so fabulous helped make it that way. I needed to give a supplemental tip as it was beyond well deserved.

Our food and wine were great as usual. We love the new space. Beautiful interior and very spacious. Our waiter was not very attentive, which is unusual for Roma. So, we will not let this impact our love for this place.

The host was welcoming and accommodating! Came in with my 3 year old and 3 month old. They got us sat in a booth which was perfect for us. Made my kids feel welcomed. Our server was one of the best servers I’ve ever had. She knew the menu the ingredients and had her recommendations. She gave us time, made us feel relaxed and very comfortable. It’s hard to find good service, and this place has it. I wish I knew her name so I could shout her out! We will be back! The food was also SO GOOD. WAYYYYY BETTER than it was when it was over in the old spot.

First time at the new location with newest owners. Amazing, still! This location has a nice full bar unlike the old spot. Everything we ate - jumbo grilled shrimp, pasta et filetto, pappardelle bolognese - and the bottle of Avignonese Noble, were fantastic as always. Made from scratch same day. By far the best Italian In Carmel if not Indy. Helio’s table service was pleasant and well-paced. Will keep going back!

The bolognese is DROWNING in sauce and so heavy on the cheese that it’s ruined. Two people at our table ordered it and ended up not eating it. The service was fine, but if you notice there are two uneaten dishes on the table, it might be worth asking if something is wrong, rather than just clearing them and not asking. Overall, I thought the rest of the food was ok, nothing that I would want to revisit.

My favorite place to eat is in Carmel, IN. Every time I walk in the door I am treated like family with recognizable smiles and friendly conversation. This coming from a family owned Italian restaurant where their food is made with such passion and conviction it's a higher culinary art form, that brings me back to my youth and having traditionally made from scratch Italian dishes every week. The dining experience from the hostess seating you to the waiter/waitress walking you through the menu, all the way through to the chef’s cooking their mastery in the back. This is why I come back time and time again. Kudos and Cheers to Chef Raffaele, Hailey, John, and the rest of Roma’s staff for absolutely delicious food, ambiance, customer service, and overall experience.

The Ortolana Salad was fantastic. Ceasar is also good. My wife’s pasta (A’Boscaiola) was amazing(ask for extra sauce and get w Fettuccine). Their Grouper Russo is great (from previous experience) but I got the New Your strip (the special). It was average at best. We will be back, but primarily for our goto items. We also love the Genoese DiMare.

Food was awful. Nothing had flavor, two people in my group got different dishes, both tasted the same … like cardboard. The third persons fish was over cooked and the plate was covered in water, again zero flavor. The waitress was great and very knowledgeable. The only upside was that all the mains were taken off the check. We had been there two times before and it was great, but this last time was so bad we won’t be going back.
