Did the tasting menu with friends. Apps were great and sushi was very good. The entrées for mediocre at best Steak was nothing special and neither was the tuna Collar. With an 800 dollar bill with drinks for 4 I was not impressed
The food did not meet the expectations but was quite overpriced. The soup was very salty. Did not enjoy the dinner and will not consider coming back.
The food here is outstanding. Atmosphere is casual, which is popular these days. Although we had a fairly quiet table in a back corner, due to the fact that it was Sunday night and early (6:45) so not full at all, it would be horrendously noisy if the restaurant was full. Prices are pretty typical for Scottsdale, which means very high anywhere else. Go if you have deep pockets and don't mind having to shout at each other across the table.
Good food, fish was of good quality, served at the right temperatures, with the right accompaniments, but this place is WAY overpriced. I would go so far as to say that every item on the menu was 100% more expensive than they should have been. Oysters for $5.00 each? 6 thick slices of sweet potato for $9.00? Really? Never have I seen that, and I live in San Francisco.
The freshest sushi in Scottsdale. My husband and I always get the sashimi and rolls, however, the beef is some of the best we’ve ever had. The service is exceptional, and the happy hour is one of the best in town!
Food was awesome service was even better. Highly recommend this restaurant
We went to RA 4 about 4 years ago and were blown away. The quality of the food, the extraordinary presentation, the sake pairing, the knowledge and the explanation of each dish and the sake pairing and the service was worth every dollar of the chef's tasting.
This time the service was nothing compared to 4 years ago, 3 out of 4 in the party had there drinks and my wife waited 30 mins.!! (after we reminded the server) before she got her first drink. We sad at the bar in the front and they always left the door open after guests entered, so it quiet fresh.
The so called Wagju beef tasted like liver, agreed by all 4 in the party. The waiter replaced it with the prime New York strip, which was many times better. - A big price tag for a not so extraordinary culinary experience.
Great food, fun place. Professional and friendly staff. Highly recommend!!
It was too loud to talk - could only converse with those right beside us, not even across the table of 4. While food was good, seemed overpriced for what we got. Even though Japanese is always a bit expensive, this seemed extraordinarily so.
Great Food. Liked the variety of the menu. They served quality ingredients that tasted great. The presentation of the food is as good as it gets. Our server was fast talking know it all who needed to be told a couple of times to get our drinks! We were not impressed. Take the service out of the equation and this restaurant was worth the trip!!
