The entire meal was unforgettable, from the butterfish tataki appetizer, blackened cod entree, and pot de creme for dessert. The pork belly appetizer is also a must and you can't go wrong with any of the sushi maki. We'll be back! A new favorite spot for our whole table
Unfortunately our Wagyu steak was cooked on the very "raw" side. We had requested medium rare.
Upon our request it was returned and came back very slightly cooked. Upon "their" request, as well as managements, they sympathetically asked to recorrect it once again. It was too late in our dining experience and the evening to continue with waiting for the main entree.
Kudos to their attempts though.
Too loud, slow service, nice food presentation. I won’t go back!
Everything was good. The fish wasn’t as good As the last few times we’ve been in but everything else was delicious.
Amazing service! Best service I've experienced in years. The food was outstanding.
Decent happy hour prices and good selection. The food is Freshes seafood you could ever get in the valley. The ambience is set for romantic date or business meeting setting. The lamb is a must try prepared simple but very delicious and tender soft
Just amazing. Great waiter and team. Food so delicious
Bradley was the greatest server. Lobster tempura was awesome! Can't wait yo return!!!
The service was not very good at all. I realize that eating at the bar is different than a normal table but it wasn’t a good experience regardless. They brought our food out as separate times (we ordered a full dinner off the regular menu in addition to happy hour apps) and somehow my husband was able to get and eat his steak before my soup ever made it to the table. It came nearly a half hour later. We came here for our anniversary and won’t be back.
Love this place! Great service and great food! Omakase is the best option.
I was so happy with our experience. The service was amazing and knowledgeable about their menu. Loved it!
We were seated at the sushi bar even though we weren’t eating sushi and it was freezing cold. There were vents, understandably because of the hot grills they were cooking on, that were blowing down on us. We asked to be moved and were moved around the corner of the bar to no avail. The server said he’d had others complain about how cold it was. We said forget it and walked out, followed by presumably a manager, who then said that he’d put us at a warm table. We replied that they’d had a chance to do that before and wouldn’t. We left and went to the Chart House which was superb.
We love dining at Roma Akor and Wesley is always so hospitable. He knows the menu well, super friendly and gives great suggestions!
Great place. Food and service outstanding. definitely will go back
It was great
Always delicious food and great service! Been going for years and never a disappointment! Yum!!
Fantastic food, service and experience!
Our waiter David was amazing and made my birthday/Easter celebration one to remember. The food was on point as always.
Heather Did A great job!
We love Roka Akor and our dinner on Sunday was no exception. Hubby had the giant tiger prawn and I had the guinea hen. Both were amazing. The sushi is extremely fresh and carefully prepared. It was a top notch meal. Our server Michael was very good too. He took time with us to answer our questions and was very friendly and personable.
The food was delicious and the service was exceptional.
Very Expensive. Been 4 times. Consistently excellent in every way. Kobe is as good as I have had. Excellent O-Toro. Service is personal and excellent. Can't say enough good things. If you love super high end Japanese cuisine, this is a must!
We eat here at least once a month because the food is so good. The servers are the best, very friendly and helpful.
Awesome evening for
Terrific Meal in a beautiful ambiance with great service
Hostess forgot us at bar.had to remind her we were there 10mins after we should have been seated.Ordered Omakase.1st course came before I could even order wine.somm rectifies bybsending back.1st few courses flew at us.far too fast a pace.sashimi was great, although not nearly best I’ve had.tataki very good.main courses took forever to arrive.easily 15mins between courses after we had finished previous course.wegyu arrived well done and not very good.server rectified with fresh plate which was cooked perfectly, although again not even as good as the local ribeyes I’m used to let alone real wegyu I’ve had previously.dessert finally arrived; probably 20mins after final course.some might appreciate this dessert....huge.i found it comically large akin to something you might cobble together at an all u can eat buffet. Overall service was mixed: somm very good, server very friendly, hostess inept, pace completely off. Ambience: toward end of our meal staff were clearly getting ready for end of shift, moving chairs and tables and dishes and trophies of garbage thru the restaurant. Wait til my experience is over to do that work. Omakase value is not there. For the same cost we ate at Cafe Monarch the previous evening and received way better service and incredible food. Here I felt closer to PF Chang’s than to Monarch. I can’t recommend unless maybe half the cost.
Great food and service
Great service and well trained in customer service.
Aside from the high prices, Roka Akor continues to deliver top quality food and service. Unusual preparations create always flavor-filled dishes, presented beautifully. We both enjoyed again the Lamb Cutlet entree, perfectly cooked and booming with great flavors. Chose a Tempura appetizer and felt the Tempura was perfect. It is one of the noisiest restaurants in town, and that's saying a lot in a town that is filled with vibrant, but noisy, restaurants. Happily we were seated in a side section that managed to buffer some of the noise. It's a great special occasion location.
Superb food, especially the lobster tempura appetizer and the slice rib eye
Service was excellent with Wesley
The Omakase dining experience was wonderful and delightful. Each dish was delicious and brought a new, tasting sensation.
The food is excellent. The noise level was a tiny bit loud but we were sitting in the middle of the restaurant so that could have effected it. The service was good however they forgot an appetizer and we had to asked three times to get it. Over all an stylish ambiance with excellent food.
The food here is top notch. The service was great and very attentive. It was a little loud to talk in a group but the food was what we came for and we had fun!!
Large restaurant with good food. Sushi was good but expensive. Enjoyable evening
This is the first time we were disappointed at Roka Akor. Thursday nights are touted for their always wonderful $1 oysters. We arrived very early at 5:30 to indulge in our favorite Thursday special but they were already gone. Knowing that we would be there, our favorite server, Hannah, saved the last 4 us. She's very sweet. We were 4 for dinner on Thursday so 1 oyster each was a terrible disappointment.
Daniel our server did a good job taking care of us. We had a food allergy in the party and they did a good accommodating it. Food was great. Sake was great! Nice evening.
Been here many times. The food is outstanding. Beautiful atmosphere but a little bit noisy.
