Great food! Wagyu!!!
A terrific restaurant with excellent food and great service!
Food is delicious and very pricey. There were not as many choices for Happy Hour as I remember from a few years ago. We had to order two beverages which we normally just drink water (not bottled) because the water they served us had a bad taste. If you want to have a very good meal and 💰 is no onject, try it!
The food is phenomenal, get a couple hot and cold plates and then a sushi roll or entree and you will be spoiling yourself! We sat in the bar area and it was ridiculously loud, but they turned the music down and a loud family left and it was a great atmosphere. The TVs however did have some weird specials on, for example on tv had a special on about a Russian holocaust survivor and that wasn’t exactly my favorite dinner visual.
However, the service was wonderful and the food was an 11/10!
The food was delicious and Daniel, our waiter, was excellent. The hostess however was rude and only gave us table options in the very back near the kitchen despite the fact we had reservations for a special occasion (noted in the reservation) and the restaurant was certainly not crowded since it was a Monday night. I would have spent three or four times more than what my final bill was had we been treated with more respect. Living in the DC Metro area and Austin, Texas, I go out for fine dining often for private and business dinners and have never been treated or judged the way my step-daughter and I were at our first visit to Roka Akor.
Very pricey. Everything al la cart. just not overly impressed.
What an amazing place. The service was amazing and our server Daniel awesome. It was our first visit so we had a lot of questions about the menu. We tried several different things and it was all fabulous. We had the yellow tail sashimi, the beef dumplings, the scallops, some blue fin tuna, tempura prawns, the Chiliean sea bass and some broccoli. Everything was fresh and on point. For dessert, we had the blueberry tart and some fresh fruit. We will definitely be back!
It was expensive but great service, good quality food. Loved sitting at the sushi bar
Took daughter in law for birthday dinner. Staff was knowledgeable and attentive. Staff was extremely helpful in food choices and drink choices. Perfect dinner experience.
First time customer, had tempura mix and sushi. The waiters seemed new and not sure what’s going on. Slow service.
The tempura was a light color and made you think it was alight coating but it had a oily taste, maybe old oil or not up to temperature.
The sushi was 50/50, 2rolls were good 2 rolls below average. Overall I paid $85.00 for a average meal for two. I expected way above average.
We ordered an appetizer, a sushi roll and king crab. We did not receive the sushi roll. Waitress did not check on us at all until we were ready to pay bill. Good food though.
Amazing sushi and outstanding staff. Say bar side at a high top. Happy hour until 7.
Standard Tisch ausgewählt - trotzdem Tisch unterm Zelt - kein Mexikanisches Restaurant, sondern South Western cuisine!
We loved it. Our server was very attentive. The food extraordinarily delicious. Totally recommend this restaurant.
We had a party of 12 at Roka Akor for a special get together amongst friends. There were 6 couples and we were all able to order off the restaurant week menu. The management was very proactive in being able to accommodate our group even though they normally do not seat such large groups. We did have to sign a contract for a minimum spend but with the great drink selections and tasty food this was not an issue. The manager called me a couple days before our reservation to let me know what options they had to seat our group and were able to have all all seated in an area of their lounge/bar. The seating was great for our group and everyone had a great time. Food and ambiance were exactly what we were looking for.
The butterfish Tataki was incredible!
Service and food was incredible!
The food and service was excellent! One of my favorite restaurants
Slow service and falls flat with flavor. Cocktails were good but overpriced like most of the food there.
Went for AZ Restaurant Week. Great choices for the menu. All very tasty! Awesome cocktails too! Staff is always attentive.
This was one of the best dining experiences We have ever had. We cannot wait to come back!
Food was great. We had the Chef's Choice. Outstanding variety. My favorite were the pork bellies.
Service was not over powering but rather just right.
One of my favorites in Scottsdale. Raw and cooked it’s s are all excellent and seafood is very fresh. Really good!!
Chef was constantly shouting from kitchen area, very annoying
Food came really quick and service was great! Large menu, limited(short) sushi roll selection would be only comment.
Everything was delightful
Everyone enjoyed their meals
Excellent service and food was delicious. The noise level was pretty high so it was a little hard at times to hear your group at your table. Otherwise everything was fantastic. Definitely going back.
Love the food and service. Eat here often. I find the music is a bit too loud which causes the conversations to be loud.
The entire meal was unforgettable, from the butterfish tataki appetizer, blackened cod entree, and pot de creme for dessert. The pork belly appetizer is also a must and you can't go wrong with any of the sushi maki. We'll be back! A new favorite spot for our whole table
Unfortunately our Wagyu steak was cooked on the very "raw" side. We had requested medium rare.
Upon our request it was returned and came back very slightly cooked. Upon "their" request, as well as managements, they sympathetically asked to recorrect it once again. It was too late in our dining experience and the evening to continue with waiting for the main entree.
Kudos to their attempts though.
Too loud, slow service, nice food presentation. I won’t go back!
Everything was good. The fish wasn’t as good As the last few times we’ve been in but everything else was delicious.
Amazing service! Best service I've experienced in years. The food was outstanding.
Decent happy hour prices and good selection. The food is Freshes seafood you could ever get in the valley. The ambience is set for romantic date or business meeting setting. The lamb is a must try prepared simple but very delicious and tender soft
Just amazing. Great waiter and team. Food so delicious
Bradley was the greatest server. Lobster tempura was awesome! Can't wait yo return!!!
The service was not very good at all. I realize that eating at the bar is different than a normal table but it wasn’t a good experience regardless. They brought our food out as separate times (we ordered a full dinner off the regular menu in addition to happy hour apps) and somehow my husband was able to get and eat his steak before my soup ever made it to the table. It came nearly a half hour later. We came here for our anniversary and won’t be back.
Love this place! Great service and great food! Omakase is the best option.
I was so happy with our experience. The service was amazing and knowledgeable about their menu. Loved it!
We were seated at the sushi bar even though we weren’t eating sushi and it was freezing cold. There were vents, understandably because of the hot grills they were cooking on, that were blowing down on us. We asked to be moved and were moved around the corner of the bar to no avail. The server said he’d had others complain about how cold it was. We said forget it and walked out, followed by presumably a manager, who then said that he’d put us at a warm table. We replied that they’d had a chance to do that before and wouldn’t. We left and went to the Chart House which was superb.
