Amazing Food. W.O.W
We were charged over $100 more than we expected. If there was a second Omikase menu price, it was not disclosed to us until we saw the bill. We tried to contact Roka Akor and have not heard back.
We had omakase with sake pairing. It was one of the most delicious meal i’ve ever had. Their sushi quality really good and omakase comes with a lots of variety that u don’t feel like sick of eating same stuff. 5 course meal was more than i could eat. The dessert at the end of one of the best dessert plate i’ve ever had. It has two different a scoop of sorbets, fruit pieces, mango pudding and the divine chocolate lava cake with Madagascar vanilla ice cream. I had many chocolate lava cake but this was the best!!
Sake pairing experience was superb that something different then wine pairing and It was well thought out. Every sake was complementing the food that was paired with also cleaned the palate every bite.
The star of the course was A5 samurai wagyu. They serve it on the ceramic plate with green tea leaves with smoke. It was very appetizing from the presentation. It’s almost hard to explain how good the wagyu was.
I highly recommend this place!! And yes please upgrade to A5 or samurai wagyu for the full experience!!
Recommended by a client, this was a nice new find for lunch in San Francisco!
We loved it. Always do at Roka!
The food at Roka has been consistently excellent, and the service keeps getting better with every successive visit. I would happily recommend Roka to friends - it is top-notch in every respect.
El mejor sushi de SF sin duda alguna!
It was good. The vibe wasn’t consistent with Saturday nights in the past, but a solid option nonetheless.
Amazing food! It’s a little pricey, but worth every penny!
Friends from New York
The chirashi for lunch is our new favorite dish. Perfect with a glass of wine!
The four of us had the Omakase for$138 each, and added on two orders of wagyu beef and bone marrow. The entire dinner was delicious, so fun seeing each unique dish presented. Very creative menu. The portions were generous. The dessert platter was amazing.
Thank you Roka Akor for a memorable evening!
It was our anniversary and they went above and beyond to make sure it was special.
Well, after 5 days in the wild Wild West, was such a pleasure to have fine food
fantastic wagu beef and gyoza and super service
Great set business lunch
Roka Akor has been on my list for quite some time now. It definitely lived up to the hype. We ordered the corn and brussel sprouts, both were beyond phenomenal. My friend had been there previously and highly recommended the corn. She is vegetarian and ordered the fried tofu dish which she loved. I ordered the Hamachi Serrano Chili roll. We topped off the whole experience with the out of this world chocolate cake and ice cream. It is an absolute must. I will definitely be back again!
Amazing and fun place to dine.
Our server did not ask us how we wanted our 3 steaks that we ordered when we went out as a group of 4 and did not give all of us chopsticks so we had to steal some off of another table and the server also did not introduce us of show us anything on the menu even when telling him it was our first time the food came out rare when my friend wanted medium and we were not attended to the whole time after we received our food and after spending 270$ we cleaned up the table ourselves because there was no elbow room to relax and talk afterwards the food was good could have been better if he would have asked us for our preferences and the service was horrible for the price I would gladly rather go to Fleming’s in Walnut Creek amazing service and food cooked to perfection !
Roka Akor was amazing. Definitely pricey but worth it— the Omakase delivers great value with good portion sizes and amazing dishes. Will keep this on my list for special occasions.
Everything from service to food was amazing !
I’m so glad I discovered this place via Open Table. It was one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a very long time. I got to seat at the counter by the kitchen and it was incredible! To be close up to see how they work and craft the food. And the executive chef, Roman, is an artist. The salmon was superb. The corn - you must get this corn! The service was just terrific. I think people must eat there all the time and forget to appreciate how special it is. I will definitely be back! Truly outstanding.
Fantastic food and really great service. Professional and knowledgeable staff makes this place shine.
Food is always AMAZING! The NY Steak and mushroom and Salmon teriyaki, the heirloom tomato salad, yellowtail Hamachi jalapeno roll and wagyu beef - all great choices. Desserts do not disappoint either. Servers are very attentive and professional. Great for business or pleasure.
Service wasn’t that good, for the price it could have been better.
Fantastic place, great food, superb service. Highly recommended
It's not the Roka Akor menu I grew to love over the past 4 years. I'm not sure if there was a change in the chef. The menu is missing key items.
Amazing food and service! Very pricey!
The pork belly and short ribs are incredible! The service and atmosphere were also outstanding.
Service and food was great. Would love to come back next time we are in town!
Roka Akor is a great restaurant in the Jackson Square neighborhood. The food is delicious and the service is great. I love the open vibe in the restaurant as well. Great for businesses lunches or for a nice evening.
Best meal I had in San Fran, started with sushi, tried waygu filet after! My new go to. Eric was our server, super cool and very professional.
The A5 beef was not prepared in the best possible way. This is quite a waste, considering the cost of $30-40 per oz. At medium rare, a large portion of the meat is overcooked from the searing process. The pieces are simply too small to begin with, or the grill isn't hot enough to quickly sear the outside without overcooking large portions of it.
Loved the quality of food, a little disappointed our server wasn’t really on point with our order!
The service was friendly but the food was terrible. We were served a $50 lamb dish to share that was entirely fat and inedible. The waitstaff was very apologetic but nothing was taken from our bill to accommodate. Most of the other dishes were ok but dessert was bad. We will not be back again.
Was looking for a particular vibe for date night and Roka Akor was def it! My younger sister in Houston (they are located there as well) said it’s her favorite restaurant now, and she eats out five nights a week. So, I knew I could trust her when she said to run to Roka Akor. She suggested the filet, king crab and corn. We got alladat as well as the sweet potatoes and some nigiri. Every single bite of food was amazing and worth every dollar. We started off in the Roka bar and had three too many Roka Fashioneds. Headed upstairs at reservation time and the waiter suggested some cocktail with mezcal and chartreuse (can’t remember the name). Whoa. Hella good. Run to Roka Akor. Thank my sister.
Birthday Day Dinner for my Yelp Kitty, Saachi G! We were here about six months ago and given the choice of dinner spots Roka Akor was the consensus!
By now we kinda know the menu by heart. Tonight's order was a repeat with a few twists. We picked the Ribeye with Wafu Dressing, Bone Marrow topped with Tenkasu (Tempura Flakes) and Ponzu, and a seafood appetizer. Tried the Lobster Dumplings this time and was not disappointed. Firm chunks of lobster tucked into a potsticker. Pan-fried and topped with sprouts and a slice of Fresno pepper.
The surprise of the evening was the Warm Valhrona Chocolate Birthday Cake! Intricate Roku Akor logo topped the cake that oozed a soft hot fudge. Birthday or not, it's something to always order!
Very special thanks to my friend, Leilani Powers, the lovely GM for insuring a fantastical Birthday Celebration evening and our hilarious server, Erik!
Great taste and good service ....
