Amazing food and amazing service. Jessica was attentive and got our food and drinks out perfectly and quickly.

It was our first time at Roca and Jessica was our waitress. She was friendly, knowledgeable of the menu and put me in the perfect whiskey. Scallops, dumplings and sushi rolls... everything was very fresh and well prepared.

Great service , great food. Good place for anniversaries, birthdays.

Our first visit. We went with the Omakase to get a taste of everything! We were delighted and stuffed when it was over. The Wagyu beef was the highlight and the decadent chocolate lava cake dessert was deliciously memorable. Yum! We will return.

We have never had a bad experience at Roka Akor and this time was no different! Sky was an amazing server, the drinks were delicious and as always the food was beyond amazing. We tried the Gunkan for the first time and were blown away!

Date night with my hubby & we both really enjoyed this place. It was his first time there in my fifth time so I wanted him to get the full on experience. We booked on a Sunday at 6 PM so it was fairly quiet but the staff was amazing and the food was spectacular. Can’t wait to dine there again. 😊

We had Christmas eve dinner and we had two omakase (5 course) and one steak. For the omakase, 1st course appetizer was excellent (one piece fish and one piece beef), second appetizer was tempura small shrimp (bad taste, small shrimps seem cheap), third course was sushi cut role (fair) and 2 piece nigiri sushi (good), main dish Alaskan King crab was perfect (fresh and tasty), and the last course lamb was bad (bland, no taste, sauce tasted store-bought). Dessert combo plate was excellent (fresh, homemade). The Wagyu steak was so-so. Had 4 cocktails all were excellent. Service was below par for the caliber of the restaurant, I had to ask for steak and knife for my lamb, they brought out wrong dish and had to take it back, etc. Overall, they need to up their game if they are going to charge same price as the big players (MF, Uchi). Overall, it was an average meal for me but at a higher price than expected.

Food was amazing! Everything we ordered were very tasty and scrumptious! Service was good but, I think it can do better by paying a little more attention to small details like maybe checking waters on the table without having to ask and wait? Phone etiquette of the hostess was great! Very professional compared to Steak48.

Our daughter loves Roka and this is the second year in a row we celebrate her b’day there. Everything was very good as usual and we certainly will be back as soon as the pandemic is over.

Reserved Bar, not available when arrived. Given to walk in who came in front of us. We were on time. Frustrating.

The Chiefs selection was extremely delicious along with the Wagyu dumplings, shrimp tempura and chicken! We are definitely going back again to try the rest of the menu.

If you love sushi like I do, you need to check out this place!!! I always get the foie gras with otoro to end with & it is like heaven in your mouth! The servers and waiters are always so nice & love to give you the best experience! Definitely my favorite sushi restaurant in Houston!

Nice and modern restaurant. Food was fresh and excellent! Service was great too. Definitely going back with friends. Not your usual sushi restaurant.

I always had a great experience with Roka Akor but one thing I wasn’t happy with is the host giving us a hard time sitting at the bar which another party was late for there reservation and we were early for our reservation at the bar she even tell us we can start order some drinks at hight top table and she will move us to the bar after 7-8 minutes if another party still late but after we were sitting at hight top for 8 minutes she still didn’t come to us tell us anything so the bartender was working hard for us went to the host 3 times she still confirmed another party is on the way which was late almost 30 minutes.
Finally after 27minutes later we got seated at the bar.

My husband and I made reservations at Roma Akor for our date night after looking for a nice restaurant in town with a chef’s tasting option. The overall experience was good but I don’t think it lived up to our expectations. The food was good but not exceptional which for the price it should have been and the website listed the dress code as much more elegant than it was, my husband and I both felt pretty overdressed when a family walked in with their kids in sweat pants.

The staff was exceptional thus making the great food and experience all that much better!!

Great to see service and food quality have sustained through COVID. Some of best fresh/raw fish preparation in town. Love the quality of the wagyu as well. Bravo
