The service was exceptional at the bar area. The bartender was really attentive and the food runners described the food really well! Would come back again soon!

Nigiri tasted less fresh than normal. King crab dish was lukewarm. Atmosphere was darker than usual and difficult to see food. Service was average. Flat iron steak, however, was perfect. We've dined several times at Roka Akor and this was my least favorite experience.

It was a great dining experience and our server Nick made it a very special anniversary dinner for my boyfriend and I with his excellent service by recommending dishes and constantly checking on us.

We love coming here. The food is creative and so well prepared. The service is equal to the food- great place!

If you go there sit in the bar area or sit at the bar. We sat at the bar and Nahum And Maxine took great care of us. The grilled octopus was wonderful and the lamb chops and steak were yummy. One of my new favorite places to go to.

Some of the best cuisine in Houston. Very creative and full of flavors. Will be going back soon. Brandon was an excellent waiter.

We had a great dinner at Roka. Our waiter was awesome and the managers came to check on us several times. The food was amazing and the chocolate cake is soooooo good.

Omakase was better in both quality, presentation, and value than Nobu. The staff was knowledgeable regarding the food and drinks. Our waiter was able to answer specific questions regarding the food served and not superficial generic answers.

Amazing food, exceeded our expectations by far. Can’t wait to go again.

Izzy was a fantastic waiter. Best need we have ever had. Sushi is above average but the beef, desert, tomato salad and Brussel sprouts were incredible. Highly recommend.

We ordered a huge variety of dishes. Everything was exceptional, except for the ribeye steak, which was fairly average. Looking back, we should've just splurged and gotten the wagyu, then I'm sure our meal would've been phenomenal. The service was fantastic.

I would say the dishes are Ok, but they lack umami.

The food was great! Nick whom served us was great and made great recommendations. We will be coming back.

We had the most wonderful omakase dinner, celebrating a special occasion. They made it extra special and the service was excellent! Highly recommend!!

Great service from Vicky and her team. We tried several apps and a hamachi serrano roll, and chefs choice sushi and sashimi and desserts. Everything was prepared and presented wonderfully and the taste was on point. We cant wait to return.

I had my first unpleasant dining experience today. I went for the business set lunch and everything was going well initially. My soup and salad came out fast and then it got to the main and things took a turn for worse.
I sat and waited too long for the salmon to come out and when it did it was cold. During this time, I watched ad my waiter catered to everyone he was assigned to. And never once coming by to check on me or the status of my food.
When I did get my food, it was dropped off and again I didn’t see the waiter again until 15 mins or so after receiving my cold salmon. I ate my food as was because no one came by to ask if everything was okay.
I had been coughing so when I first got seated and the waiter asked what I’d like to drink I asked for water no ice. The cup he brought me had food stains in it so I could t even drink the water and because barely came to check on me, I didn’t get a water refill nor was I offered a different cup because I was never afforded the opportunity to voice my thoughts.

This experiment is very shocking to me. I have always held the service here as a standard others could abide but after today... I am not sure. Truly disappointed.

Amazing food and service. When the manager comes over to ensure all is well and then carries a friendly conversation regarding your experience, the food, the dessert, coming back and more, it can’t get any better! This was oke is the best experiences I’ve had at a restaurant period! Try the tuna tartare and get the rice risotto! Wow!!!!! Thank you Monica!!

Great dinner to celebrate husband's birthday. Mix of foods that were appreciated by all.

First time there, we both ordered the Chef’s Choice. Super happy with that selection. The Brussels sprouts, pork belly, and Japanese Wagyu were second to none.

Wine has a crazy makeup there. I get a markup, but damn. Their opus was 3 times what retail price is, and other nice bottles around the same. Did not have Caymus.

Service was great, and the staff weren’t robots.

Overall very happy and will return.

Great sushi & fabulous service!

Roka is always a fantastic go-to for Sushi, Seafood and a unique Steak experience. Freddie was our waiter and he is incredible! He is knowledgable, attentive and has the best recommendations for the perfect Sake to pair with whatever you are eating. I highly recommend Roka for your next Sushi dinner!

The Restaurant gives you a very nice ambience, they present well, albeit it is expensive and you get very little for your money. when you spend $ 100 per person you need to feel that they give you value. when the sashimi is so thin that you can see holes in the peace's it's because they are stingy.
