Food was yummy and our server Sam was excellent with our big group!
The food was not very good. My enchiladas were caked in fried cheese (way too much) and the enchiladas were hard as a rock. The Cadillac margarita was not very good either. It wasn’t very strong and it was watered down.
Overall I would come back. The food tasted great even though It took a long time to make. But it was very loud and hard to talk to my family.
The enchiladas with green sauce was amazing! The server was really quite exceptional, tall, blond guy. He handled all our requests timely and cheerfully.
I had the taco salad with carne asada. It was one of the best I have had. The ingredients we're well proportioned and flavorful. The one thing I added was guacamole because guacamole was not included in the salad to start. They have a side as well as appetizer. I did the side. As I got to the bottom of the bowl still had a good varity of ingredients. I will definitely return for this salad. The taco salad is also available with ground beef or chicken.
This was our second visit to Rojo Mexican Grill. this visit was as enjoyable as the first. We were greeted warmly and promptly. We made reservations for nine and found our table ready and waiting for us. Our service was exceptional as was the food. Thanks Rojo staff for a wonderful dining experience!
The food at Rojo is always delicious! Our server was friendly & kept a good eye on our drinks.
Not necessarily "authentic" Mexican, but reliable food and good service. Specialty guac was very tasty. Went with the burger and it hit the spot.
It was just ok. Not upscale as presented. The patio was nice, but service was marginal.
We loved the ambiance chips and salsa and the drinks were great, but unfortunately the food made me sick to my stomach. I ordered the Fish Tacos, shortly thereafter I had a bad reaction to the food. I don’t want to be too graphic but it was not a good end to the night and we could definitely trace the cause back to those tacos.
We had a wonderful waiter. Wish there would be a Sunday Happy Hour!
Loved the enchiladas, margaritas, and maybe most of all the chips and salsa. The Trio salsa, cheese, and guac were good too. However, I didn't really like the sweet rice that came with the meal. I wish it were regular Mexican rice, which is what I would expect with this type of meal. If you had that as an optional side, I would come back more often.
We were seated at a dirty table and had to ask three people to clean it...that took 10 minutes...then when the wiped it down we had old food in our laps. Walked by two clean tables to get to that one though. The only reason we had silverware is we took it from a clean empty table. Our server was nice. Food was average.
Great 'first experience.' Will return for seconds. Thank you!
Rojo is one of our go-to date restaurants. The food is really great every time we go! I usually get the Carne Asada Tacos with the (AMAZING) Sweet Rice and a side of the Cotija Corn. My fiancé usually gets a Beef Burrito. The Roasted Poblano Queso is SO good. Awesome margaritas! Touch-and-go salsa, but I think they make it fresh each day, so it depends on the day. They also have amazing salads! We love Rojo!
Service was great. Made a reservation online, walked in and was given table immediately (and it was busy). Waiter was great. Chips and salsa were good. We prefer food at other Mexican restaurants better. I didn’t particularly like the sauce on enchiladas/burritos. Rice is different but tasted good. Drinks are $.
Food was good and we had a nice table.
Excellent happy hour pricing and portions.
9 of us met for Happy Hour. The nachos were huge and delicious. Our waiter who was also the bartender gave us excellent service even when it started getting busy.
Food was tasty. We had a side of guacamole which needed more punch. But the fresh salsa was very nice and a nice kick of heat. I had the carnitas tacos which was very tasty especially if topped with some of the fresh salsa. The sweet rice was unique and I liked it. Refried beans were a little salty. My companion had the chicken enchiladas, which he enjoyed. Predictable and reliable.
Great place to have a nice Mexican dinner. I had a salad that was outrageously good (Tomatillo Salad) and my wife loves the tacos!
Fun evening with friends. Never felt rushed. Very good service from friendly, professional wait person. Food and beverages above average.
I really do enjoy Rojos food. It is very different than the standard TX-Mex you find. We had the trio appetizer and shared the walnut crusted chicken which was very good. The server was very attentive and did a nice job.
The food wasn't amazing. I don't recco places that aren't amazing. It was a Saturday night and it was LOUD
Our first time at this chain. We really liked the rice and tacos. The only thing we didn't like was the meals were served like 5 minutes after we ordered. We weren't even 1/2 way through our appetizer. It was all so good we didn't complain but just giving feedback. Thanks.
Dinner was very good! A little cold when the door opened but overall an amazing dinner
The doors that lead from the mall entrance can let in a very large draft! Staff members were not paying attention to the fact that sometimes the restaurant doors were not closing and they would let in big blast of cold air. Guests had to get up a couple of times and shut the doors to prevent the frigid cold air from coming into the restaurant.
The atmosphere and decor are well suited to small and large groups
Our first visit and glad we "discovered" Rojo. Mexican food was outstanding. We had the beef enchiladas and steak tacos. Loved the creamy rice and corn side dish. Portions are large, took a lot home. What we didn't like was the music level. It's a large place and despite being crowded the crowd wasn't that noisy but the sound track was excessive. We'll give it another try on a weeknight to see if they turn it down for other than Saturday nights.
The server told me the red sauc
I really enjoy the food at Rojo! The tortilla soup is my favorite.
Chips and salsa are top notch. I’ve had the tacos several times and they are always delicious. Sweet rice served with meals is delicious. Had a bad experience last time I was there and may not return. I ordered the beef burrito and got chicken. It was super plain - just tortilla, chicken, sauce, and sour cream. Server said she would comp it. Later manager came over and said she would take care of some of it. When the bill came they took of $8, about half of the entree cost. They come off as petty and cheap by having the server say they will comp it only to have the manager try to squeeze out a few bucks. The manager does not understand the big picture and that they could have redeemed my experience by just comping my entree as they told me they would.
Food was cold. Found a chicken bone in my meal. Service was slow except when we dealt with the manager.
Food was good but service was horrible. Staff needs to be better trained. Waitress was too busy chatting with the staff and was clearly not interested in doing her job correctly. Took the wrong order and than didn’t admit her mistake. Service was delayed and ruined our dining experience. Will most likely avoid this restaurant solely on the base of service.
Best local ceviche I have had, perfect! This place was going to celebrate small birthday occasions as well as if you want ethnic Mexican food. Wait stars was fabulous and had a really great service all around, two thumbs up.
Service was good it was fun to sit outside
Great food and service. Perfect for a lunch b day celebration.
Terrible service from the beginning to the end. The waiter didn't bring silverware for the first 10 minutes we were there. I finally got up and walked to the hostess stand near by and asked for silverware. My beer was poured very sloppily- it was running down the side and the bottom of the glass was covered in beer. There were no napkins or coasters so after picking up the glass a few times and putting it down there was been everywhere on the table. Since our waiter was not around I had to go to the hostess stand and ask to have the table cleaned. She must have told our waiter because he came over but he seemed unsure of what to do- and even made a comment about not being sure what to do. I commented that maybe he could get a cloth to wipe the table. A different server brought our dinner and the waiter saw him put the food on the table so he knew we had only just gotten the plates and he asked how it was tasting. Clearly we did not taste any yet. The bad part is that he never came back to the table the whole time we ate to ask us how it was. Love the food but probably wouldn't rush back to that location.
I made reservations for a business lunch 9/20. When I arrived I was told my guest was not there yet. In fact she had been seated elsewhere in the restaurant. We both explicitly mentioned the other's name. It wasnt until 23 minutes later that we realized on our own we were waiting for each other There were less than 15 people in the entire restaurant eating. This is UNACCEPTABLE! The server came over and said that it was because we were not clear on who we were waiting for, which is not what happened. This is a service industry where an apology goes a long way. This response had resulted in me moving my business lunches to another location.
