   I took my friend to the monthly tea at the chateau. A lot of the food was inedible. The soup, sugar cookies, lemon tarts, tiny sandwiches and bread pudding were good. The quiche had a very hard crust of cheese on top and the egg part was thick and rubbery. The scones were overcooked and dry. The macarons had a good taste, but we’re hard and crunchy - not chewy at all. The most disappointing items were the cupcakes. They were rock hard and incredibly dry; not soft and fluffy like a cupcake is meant to be. The frosting tasted like grocery store, Crisco frosting. We were very disappointed and had expected wonderful food from Roghani’s. I have had tea there 2!other times, years ago, and everything was very good. Maybe it’s time for a new pastry chef?

   First time for Afternoon tea at Chateau des Fleurs and it didn't disappoint. The room was beautifully laid out and the server was very attentive and friendly. Many different teas to choose from. Soup and quiche as the first course followed by an array of sandwiches and cakes which my friend and I didn't finish and took home. Wonderful experience and will definitely visit again.

   We went for afternoon tea and it was delightful. The ambiance is spectacular. It is pricey so I would recommend for a special occasion.

   Roghani's is a solid 5-star experience every time we go there. It has become our first choice for anniversary dining, and here's why: - The restaurant is small, which gives it a lovely intimacy when going out for a special dinner. Plus, the noise level is always subdued. (If there was someone who was being a loudmouth, everyone else would know who it was and would stare at them until they melted from shame.) - The food is amazing; it is obvious that everyone working there takes great pride in the way each meal is prepared and presented. - The chef is extremely willing to adapt various dishes to my dietary restrictions (lactose intolerant), and he doesn't make me feel like this is a HUGE favor. I get the impression that he takes pleasure in the challenge of cooking without butter, cream, milk, etc. so that I can enjoy a wonderful meal without fear of later misery. - The setting is beautiful, and adds to the feeling of being in a magical place. - And finally, while not cheap, the prices are fair given the quality of ingredients and the skill required for preparation. Go for a delicious dinner, you won't be disappointed

    I love everything about Roghani’s from the food to the beautiful decor to the wonderful service. Gil is our favorite waiter. And the chef always comes out to say hello. It’s a bit pricey but not unreasonable and the entire package is worth it.

    Dinner for four took us 2.5 hours and we had reservations. Filet was over cooked, salmon was super super fishy (not fresh) and seafood linguine was bland. We never received half of the appetizers we ordered and every time we needed something we had to flag a server down. The restaurant was not busy. Unfortunately we won’t be back, very disappointed.

    I have come to High Tea on multiple occasions and always walk away pleased. It is a lovely location and the staff is always friendly. On this 4th visit, our server disappeared and rarely checked on us throughout the service. Our tea was not hot however the staff happily brought out replacements. The food is CONSISTENTLY good and ample portions. It is enjoyable to view the grounds from the dining area.

    All the staff that interacted with us were pleasant and friendly. The food was delicious, and each course brought to us at the perfect time from one to another. The ambiance and live band made the dining experience that much more memorable.

    Booked for a special evening, Valentine's plus two birthdays. Sat for 30 minutes with only water. Then bread dropped off and a menu but no wine list. Never acknowledged by the waiter who walked by multiple times. At 45 minutes, waiter finally acknowledged we were there, asked if we needed a wine list and walked off again. Finally got to order. At one hour, still had only bread and water and let them know we planned to leave. Owner got involved. Waiter said he forgot the wine. They asked us to wait for our salad and soup which would arrive shorty, which it then did. Entrees arrived, we ate about half, boxed up the rest and left. A special evening ruined. We won't be back.

    Soup was bland. Quiche was ok. Sandwiches were good-would like to see more variety though. Water for tea should be hotter-tea didn’t steep properly. Scone just ok. Sweets were rather plain.

    My wife and I love this restaurant it is our go to. The food is excellent and the services great. I’ve never had a bad experience having been here several times even before it was rebranded. Whenever we go on my wife’s birthday, they give a complementary dessert to both of us. Excellent restaurant.

    Visited back in June and service/food were excellent. This recent visit was completely different after convincing friends to join us because of our previous experience. The service was indescribably slow. Out of the 6 entrees, one was good. The pastry on the salmon Wellington was burnt, the 2 roasted lamb shanks were so cold one could push their finger through flesh to the bone and barely detect warmth. The 2 seafood specials were luke warm with tough dry fish and a broth with no detectable taste. Many of us failed to finish our entrees. Not being the type of people to complain about our meal, we kindly asked for the check which took almost AN HOUR to get. I was force to apologize to our friends for choosing the restaurant.

    Went here for a surprise birthday and we had a spectacular time. The waiter Giles was fun and professional and everything that he suggested was amazing. The food was very well done and it was clear that a lot of thought and planning went into each dish. We will absolutely be back.

    We took friends and it was my birthday, which was listed in Open Table. Typically, a 'fancy' restaurant will acknowledge this and also provide a birthday dessert. It didn't happen, and the service is very spotty (as it was last time). The waiter and the singer will interact with the table, but they still seem understaffed. For the price, there are better food options in town. For the service, Chandler's has them beat by a mile. But the ambiance is unrivaled and that makes for a special evening.

    We had visited two years ago and were quite satisfied/happy with everything. I understand they may have a new owner, and perhaps a new chef? Well I am fairly certain we had the same waiter (He's French), and he was superb. We tried a bottle of their Roghani wine, a chardonnay, and it was very terrific. The decor is beautiful, the service superb, and our food was truly delicious. I highly recommend this place for any special occasion. I value a pleasant ambience and this restaurant provides it. Enjoy!

    I took my 8 year old granddaughter and my 6 year old grandson to tea here. The experience was wonderful - "magical", said my granddaughter. The only thing I would change is that we would not have had anything to eat before we went to tea. Much more food that I expected. A lovely experience.

    Eating at Roghani's is like being on vacation while staying at home - food is outstanding - service is fantastic and the setting is world class. Everyone in the Treasure Valley should take advantage of this hidden treasure.

    The bread was practically dough with a crust, and the French onion soup was not much more then sautéed onions with stale bread. There was a recent chef change and it is apparent in execution of the simple dishes. Very disappointed. Not the usually roghanis.

    I come here for tea every time I come to Boise. This is such a beautiful place and my tea experiences have been lovely. But I have to say how disappointed I was in this tea. The description was that the tea would be Snowflake or Christmas themed. It was not. There was nothing to distinguish it from all the previous teas. And this service in particular was a bit of a let down. I was so disappointed as this was to be for my nieces 12th birthday. Aside from the ambience and decor, the french onion soup was not well made and our table had been forgotten and when the tiers were finally brought in there were courses missing for all our guests and we had to remind our servers twice to please bring them out. We were grateful my niece didn't notice. But as someone who loves this place and has always had excellent experiences here, I'm sorry to write this review. I'm disappointed that I have to. And I hope that if nothing else, it is a push to do better.

    This experience was absolutely nothing that we thought it would be. Zero expectations met. To begin: the entire tea was supposed to be “Nutcracker” themed and that was just not true - not one thing about the decor/food was this theme. Literally song from the Nutcracker played. When we were sat at our table, no one spoke to us for 30 minutes. Not exaggerating. We were seated right in front of their check-our station with waitstaff moving around us constantly and we were not once even greeted/welcomed to the experience. When someone finally spoke to us, it was a random waitress saying it looked like we had been waiting for a while and she would get us our tea. It took even longer to actually get the tea because they “ran out of hot water” ??? …. at High Tea? Really? It was such awful service that we actually had to just start joking about it to cope. When we tried to speak with the woman that appeared to be managing the operation to let her know we had been waiting 45 minutes without tea, she said “Ok.” This wasn’t an issue for just our table either; being so close to the service table, we overheard many conversations about the wait times that other tables were experiencing, and how wine bottles were being comped to make up for it. The food was unfortunately mediocre. The French onion soup and frittata - the main dishes - were not memorable in any way. The worst was the tea sandwiches… the cucumber sandwich was literally butter and cucumbers. Like so bad. We had a party of 6 but they only brought us 2 tea towers and claimed they would fill them with enough items to equal out to 3 towers. This was not true, and we had to ask for our missing items. The wine was so gross and already uncorked was brought to us…? It all had a very cheap feeling to it. Overall - will literally NEVER return. Would NEVER recommend. So sad that such a beautiful venue is wasted on such a disjointed and poorly managed event. Steer clear and do not waste your money.
