About this restaurant

  • Good for special occasions
  • Romantic
  • Innovative
Rogano has been established in Glasgow as a seafood restaurant for over 70 years. The main restaurant serves a wide variety of locally caught fish and shellfish, delicately prepared by our dedicated team of chefs. Lobster thermidor and oysters rockefeller are a speciality.
Cafe Rogano offers less formal dining with a bistro style menu and a fantastic pre-theatre selection. The oyster bar is where people come to see and be seen. A chilled glass of champagne is always on hand, perfect to wash down the oysters.

Very good service. Staff very attentive. Art deco style was lovely. Food was very good but not enough vegetables.

Service, from the greeting to departure, was friendly and efficient. Dining room was quiet enough to talk but not too quiet that you could be overheard. Gave only 4 stars for food as, though the cod in the main course was excellent, I found the accompanying mash a little cloggy for my palate. Instead of dessert, I chose coffee and petit fours. Delicious.

Looking a bit tired and dowdy since my last visit. Decent food, bread not good, nice oysters. Reasonable value but used to be better

very traditional and stylist restaurant. Not cheap but excellent food, wine and service at a level I would expect for the cost , took friends who were visiting glasgow and we had a lovely evening. Will go again for a treat.

Great experience of this Glasgow icon which as visitors to the city was on our to do list and it was very good. Lost my checked in umbrella but fully compensated for a new one. Would recommend this establishment either for a casual drink or to enjoy eating there (we did).

I dined at Rogano's a number of times 50 years ago. Things change but the reputation still seemed good. This was to be a special dinner and while the food and service were OK, they were definitely not special. A pity.
