Absolutely love this place. Decor is adorable and pizza is delicious.
We waited over an hour for our dishes to be brought while tables around us who ordered after received. It was clear that there was some mixup in the kitchen, but the servers didn’t seem to care and weren’t in the slightest apologetic. When the food finally arrived they brought one dish out at a time over a course of 15 minutes.
The service left a bad taste and we will not be returning.
The decibel level was shocking, impossible to bear. We arrived at 6:15, it was ok then. But within an hour or so it was intolerable. The food is good. The service excellent. But I will never have dinner there again and could not recommend it.
Very poor service. Hostess was mean.
Fresh salads and excellent pizza
I really like this place BUT it's so NOISY. It means everyone's shouting which makes what could and should be a relaxing evening or brunch with good food, lovely service and nice surroundings, draining. I've taken several friends recently and, very sadly, because I like the food and the staff and the decor, all have said they would NOT return because of the noise levels! I wish the manager or hostess would take it into consideration because it's nuts to force diners to have to SHOUT at the person opposite. I'm talking about visitors in their 30s and early 40s, not great-grandparents! Please fix and then it'll be great!
This was our first time at Roey’s, and probably our last. We had an 11am brunch reservation on a Sunday that has been made a week previous. There where no available tables when we arrived (as a party of 4), but they asked if we’d be willing to share seating with another party, where they’d have to pull a chair up. We declined and waited for a table, at 11:25 we were seated outside by the sidewalk. The awning provided a good bit of shade, but it was still hot and a little squeezed.
The food was nothing special, the Brussel sprouts were ridiculously tough and fibrous. They do eggs very well though, if that’s what you’re after. We won’t be back, if you’re looking for an adorable brunch spot for eggs, go for it, but try to get a seat inside (not sure how).
I went twice on my visit to New York. The first time I sat outside and they almost didn't let me finish drinking my beer that had already brought me the bill. the food is fine, that's why I decided to come back. The second time I sat inside and the noise of people talking and shouting made the meal unpleasant. This time it was not the waiter with the bill that made me go away but the noise from the amount of people they put in a small place. Attention is good, food is good and prices are good for Greenwich. Recomend to eat outside.
Really enjoyed this lovely casual spot for dinner. The salads and sides were delicious. The pizzas are inventive and tasty. Loved my spicy mezcal cocktail. The shortcake was very simple and not anything special - but good. Would recommend for a low key dinner.
Food was a little slow, but our group wasn't in a rush so it was fine. Got more busy/ louder towards the 1pm lunch rush. Great food!
Incredibly slow service, great food
I have been to this place multiple times for brunch and dinner and it’s perfect for any occasion I would say . The ambience , service , food it’s all perfect. It’s feels like a perfect place to have a conversation with someone and have a great time.
BEST PLACE EVER!! my absolute go too. love everyone I have encountered there, the food, service, vibe are unbeatable. A hidden gem for sure
Read the reviews and decided to get the pastry basket. I am not a croissant person, but they had the best croissants I’ve ever eaten. The cacio e pepe egg sandwich was also delicious! Staff was very friendly and attentive as well. Can’t wait to go again!
Hands down my new favorite restaurant. Will be adding this into the usual rotation!
I really like the casual dining experience. The food overall is very good. Great pizza.
However, I ordered the Lobster salad and it was a little disapointing. Not very much lobster was included.
It was more greens with some vegtable. I will definitly go back and try other menu options. It feels like a fun local west village eatery. It can get a little load, but most restaurants do these days.
Great service! The boozy brunch deal came with a few hijinx (they ran out of Bloody Mary mix) and 1 of the 5 of us had to wait an extra 15 minutes or so for their entree but as a result we were given a bit of extra time on our 1 hour limit on unlimited drinks and the late entree was given free of charge. We weren’t rushed at all as we finished our meal and calculated the check. Would definitely return!
Always love my experience at Roey’s! I live down the street and it has become my local go to spot for lunch and dinner. Highly recommend.
Delicious food, drinks, allergy friendly
We had a fantastic meal! The pizza and salads were all delicious. The service is excellent and they even brought over a free dessert for my daughters birthday! The restaurant is really cute inside as well.
love this new spot! the ambiance is perfect for a casual drink or dinner, and the kale salad is excellent. only complaint is that i went with a friend on a sunday afternoon around 5:30pm, and it was pretty empty -- yet it took a good 15 minutes for us to get served our drinks (2 glasses of wine, so nothing complicated...). highly recommend, but wait staff needs to be quicker.
We cme for the pizza, which was very good, but what was great were the vegetable items we ordered with it. Had the Sicilian cauliflower and artichokes with favs beans. Very pleasant neighborhood atmosphere, which can be hard to find.
A truly great meal prepared with thoughtful simplicity in an iconic neighborhood. Had the salmon which was seared to perfection, fresh and seasoned beautifully along with the delicious succotash salad. A bonus was the berry shortcake - old fashioned goodness. Great waitress - charming and helpful without being intrusive. I’ll be back.
Great summer dining! Beautiful airy space. Simple menu, but the pizza is outstanding.
The food was great, but service was lacking. It was difficult to get the waitress’s attention at some points.
Terrific menu, good drinks. Need a/c desperately!
Fresh terrific pairings. Excellent service. Delightful ambiance
Best new spot in the West Village. Cute, cozy, and friendly. And SUPER tasty menu. Two huge thumbs up!!
We had a late Father’s Day celebration with our two adult kids and had a great time and meal. We had almost every appetizer and we each had a pizza and dessert. We like food! Highly recommend this for a delicious casual setting!
Your standard brick oven pizza. Limited menu options. Nothing to write home about but will suffice.
I usually don’t write reviews, but I enjoyed my meal there so much I’m willing to write one. I’m currently strategizing who I want to bring with me next time I go.
Great food (got the baked eggs), lovely farm to table vibe with hanging plants and fun furniture, trendy but somehow not that expensive. I was actually surprised it didn’t break the bank more.
Definitely would recommend - if only for the music they played. The smiths, Fleetwood Mac- it was ideal.
Disappointing. Noise level made it difficult to converse. Food was surprisingly mediocre, given that the sister restaurant down the street is consistently excellent. Staff, however, were lovely and efficient.
Not a fan of the red sauce in the pizza.
Loved it !
Really enjoyed the re-tool of Rosemary's. The Cauliflower app was tasty and I really enjoyed the main course. All for a very reasonable price and in a great atmosphere/setting. We'll be back.
Very nice experience at Roey's. Food was very good, wait staff was very friendly and helpful. Would go back again.
I’ve been a fan of Roey’s big sister, Rosemary’s, for ages so I hoped Roey’s would match up, and it didn’t disappoint.
Lovely food, friendly service, and all for $120 for two, including plenty of wine. Great addition to our lovely neighborhood!
Food & wine were great- the bibb salad needed more dressing but it was still good.
A friend and I shared the quinoa salad and a broccoli rabe pizza. I had the carbonated strawberry juice. Everything was delicious. I will be back for sure, and soon.
Carlos, Lolli and the entire staff along with the food....excellent
Went for dinner: delicious! The pizza was thin and just perfect. Their spritz was well done. I’m still dreaming of the kale salad
