A Roessler Family Favorite, Tournedos. Finished with a Garlic, Mushroom, and Scallion Red Wine Reduction
Sautéed Crisp, Sherry Veal Reduction
Organic Chicken Breast Sautéed in a Delicate Parmesan Batter. Finished with Lemon and Capers
Eclectic menu, fine staff, good wine list. Easy drive from the Port Charlotte/Punta Gorda area and worth the trip!
Made a Birthday reservation which was confirmed. Despite appearing very busy on a Sunday night, I was pleased to find a nice window table awaiting us with plenty of room on all sides. Waitress, Annette was exemplary in her efforts. Realizing that Mrs. Roessler established my reservation while her highly educated Daughter tended to our seating, reinforces the knowledge of a full family effort throughout generations and causes me to desire their promotion over any chain restaurant. Most importantly, the food was obviously Top Notch - numerous items unheard of in other restaurants yet provided currently with historic perfection.

It was my wifes birthday have a great meal and time with friends and other customers
The noise was disturbing.
Order dessert took 45 mins to get not happy
Excellent as always
Everything was perfect!
The food was delicious and the service was impeccable. The wedge salad is a must try.
Always dependable. Excellent food. The best Continental cuisine in an old world setting. One of our favorite Sarasota restaurant--it never disappoints!!!
Fresh, perfectly prepared with a presentation that is comforting with a "flair". We sat outside (at our request) on a beautiful December evening in Sarasota. The Duck looked beautiful, the Steak Diane was so good -- i used only a fork. The Key Lime pie was top 10, and the flourless chocolate terrine is memorable -- while the deserts were all served with exceptional fresh raspberries driving home of the point of the fresh food. Definitely a place to return to.
One of the best in our area!! Impeccable service with great ambience and incredible food. Great presentation of your meal that is served hot and is absolutely delicious.
My star rating is a bit deceptive because the food is very good but portions was not generous. I had Bouillabaisse and the portion of fish and scallops was bit too small to rate it more than just satisfactory. The taste was very good. The pricing and value are not very good, either. 4 people cost us over $210. This was 25-30% IMHO.
I may come again but not anytime soon.
Loved the waiter, the food and the service! Special occasion was even more special that this restaurant. Thank you.
One of the BEST RESTAURANTS I’ve ever eaten at. And I have been all over the world.
We went for our anniversary. This is definitely perfect for a special occasion and is the most lovely restaurant with magnificent scenic views. The server was very attentive and helpful. The food overall was delicious. My husband had the baked onion soup which was fabulous but served in a small cup with no option for a bowl. His duck was very good and a large enough piece. Four tablespoon sized sides were included but he would have a preferred full size portion of his choice. I had the bouillabaisse which was scrumptious but had only one shrimp, and a few scallops and half dollar sized pieces of fish. It was mainly filled with mussels and the smallest bouillabaisse I have had but still wonderful. . This is not a place to go for fun and laughter with other couples, however, great for a quiet, intimate dinner. It was definitely a staid atmosphere with no background music. I would recommend it for a special occasion and the overall experience.
Service was excellent, server very knowledgeable about the food had excellent individual recommendations for our table. Love the atmosphere.
Really a classic very good restaurant. We first ordered a bunch of appetizers, including sweetbreads and fried lobster and shared. All were really good as were the main courses. And the restaurant is pretty with spot on service. All in all, one of my favorites in Sarasota.
The wedge salad was similar to those I've had before. The bouillabaisse was delicious.
Our server Mark's deportment was inexcusable. He started surly, then ignored us altogether. The hostess sent another server, Ted, to replace him at my request. Ask for Ted. Avoid Mark.
Food was excellent. The shared wedge salad appetizer was divided as requested in the kitchen. Both the Crispy Duck entree and Chilean Sea Bass special were well prepared and sauced --- each complemented by 3 nice sides. The Sea Bass special portion could have been a little more generous.
As standard on all Open Table reservations we were asked if a "Special Occasion" was being celebrated, and we replied yes - our anniversary. This was noted on our confirmation . Not once --- at reception, waiter greeting, check presentation or when paying was this mentioned. It would have been appreciated if our 61st had been acknowledged.
Always an enjoyable dinner. Excellent wine list, food and service.
From beginning to end, it was a delightful experience. The menu and wine list allowed great choices and the service was attentive without being intrusive. Our appetizers and dinners exceeded our expectations and made for perfect almost two hour long anniversary celebration.
Great service and food, a little pricy. The staff was very friendly and efficient. Parfait Roessler' desert was spectacular.
Enjoyed a birthday dinner at Rossler’s. The food, service and ambiance is outstanding. Highly recommend.
We ordered vichysoisse, sweetbreads, salmon and duck. The salmon was very average. The duck was overcooked and dry.
We enjoyed our dinner at Roessler's. Our waiter, Mark, was exceptional. This was our second visit for dinner. With our first visit, we had dinner in one of side rooms near the main dining room and it was much quieter. We sat in the main dining room this time and found the acoustics to be poor. Our table was more in the center of the room and we could hear the other tables. Next time, we will ask for a quiet table.
Our guests enjoyed it.
Sweetbreads were outstanding
Our waiter, Alex was a real pro! A great evening out.
Roessler is an elegant upper class Restaurant with an extensive Menu, including deserts and a good wine list. The food and wine was very good and the service as well. I found the price to be reasonable for what we had. The Restaurants has big windows overlooking beautiful gardens. Overall, this was a very nice outing, and I can recommend this place without hesitation.
Started out good. Pleasant server. Very good ambiance. Drinks average. Onion soup exceptional. Wedge salad mediocre. Escargot was very good. I ordered steak Diane medium. Came medium rare. Didn’t realize it would be in a strong brown gravy which I couldn’t eat. Must have made the server mad as her personality changed from friendly to just business. Also $42 for that was way over priced. Ordered banana foster which were prepared tableside and were very good. Was comped for my dessert $14 due to me not liking the steak Diana.
The only thing was the noise level but that occurs everywhere when groups are having a good time!
Classic cuisine, expertly prepared. Beautiful setting, one of our favorite restaurants.
Fine dining at its best. Everything we had was excellent: duck pate, onion soup, filet mignon perfectly prepared, steak diane. Exceptional wine list. Attentive service.
The service and the menu and the food all were good. Scenery and ambience also were good. The only problem for me was the noise level -- it was hard to hear my guests
Veterans Day celebration for my husband.
Service and food were outstanding
Enjoyed Annette as server - wore mask which we appreciated.
Enjoyed our first meal out in sometime.
Celebrating a family birthday.
Great staff. Food is always tasty. We come here frequently and recommend it. I have a rotation of favorites, my wife almost always gets the Veal Schnitzel Holstein, although this time she got the Sea Bass.
As always food was excellent along with service. Main dining room is noisy when busy and being a upscale restaurant with mostly well dressed clients, they should enforce their dress code.
Part of the upscale dining experience is dressing appropriately and it is a “ downer” sitting next to a couple dressed for a hot dog at the local sport’s bar.
Good food outstanding as well as friendly waiters and service
