Tender Sweetbreads Sautéed with a Sherry Veal Reduction
Sautéed with Tomatoes, Artichokes, Mushrooms, Capers, and Scallions in a Lemon White Wine Sauce
Joshua was our server. He was absolutely amazing!!
We sincerely appreciated his personality, and his beautiful singing voice.
This was our first time here, but it won't be our last. Great service from Annette. The views were perfect. The food was good.
Great place, great food. We will go back soon!
Lovely atmosphere with white table cloths and garden scenery. Our party of four received excellent service from Brent. From the cocktails to the flaming dessert everything excellent.
Always a wonderful experience at Roessler’s. The setting is beautiful overlooking the gardens and the service and food are top notch! Highly recommended
Pleasant white table cloth dining near our home. Great setting. Food is 3+, a bit overpriced, but that’s Sarasota. An engaging but amateurish server. Not her fault, that’s all about the training. We will go back and take friends.
Stepping back in time in a very cool way. Food was exceptional, waitress was friendly, attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. We will definitely return.
We ate outdoors, near a pond with a bubbling fountain and well separated from other diners. Service was attentive, food was outstanding. I had Sweetbreads as an appetizer, lambchops as the entree and the Roessler parfait as the dessert. Also enjoyed a very nice Cotes du Rhone.
All in all a wonderful evening and can't wait to go back
Restaurant is stunning....food was exceptional....service was slow. In fairness, once the restaurant died down, it did get better. Reservations at 7:30.....out the door by 9:30. It was somewhat long....but my hunch is just a challenging night. I would HIGHLY recommend.
We find Roesslers a wonderful place. We have been back twice in a span of two weeks.
My wife and I took our very close friends to Roessler’s for their anniversary.
In his words the experience was 5 stars. The food choices, preparation, presentation etc. were excellent as was the service. Klaus made us a special dessert which was very much appreciated.
We all enjoyed a very memorable meal on this special occasion.
We like Roesllers and its got a very nice menu but the taste and presentation were just okay. The ambiance is very nice but even with the bafflers they installed it was a bit loud.
Great! Old school.
Thanks for seating us outside
Was not aware couldn’t book outside table using open table
Will know for next time
To call this restaurant a neighborhood gem would be an understatement! Its a neighborhood 5 star restaurant in a botanical garden!
Seniors at play... hence the line at the door before the 5:00pm open. Youngest patron (besides ourselves and we’re just into our 50’s) made us feel like we may be a titch “too young” (Egad! Could it be that perhaps we were at the wrong place?). No, we had the right spot. It was just... kinda quiet and kinda ... quiet.
Food wise, the Bisque was good. Wedge salad was good. Steak was good... honestly, it was all “good”... but we have to report that there was nothing “food wise” that was OUTSTANDING about Roessler’s. Now, for our waiter! He was friendly, attentive and knowledgeable... and singlehandedly gets this restaurant a “positive” review. Well done sir - and thank you. In the end, Roessler’s is a nice place with a lovely view... so don’t get us wrong. I guess we were just expecting a little “more.”
Outstanding food and service.
Our drinks were skimpy and tasteless (and not served in proper glasses) and the bread served was a joke - you should be ashamed of yourselves for the price we paid. The vegetables were cold and very uninspired - pretty much tasteless, too. The quality of the meat was good, but the sauce not the best. To top it off we waited almost an hour to be served between the soup and main meal. We were there 2 1/2 hours - we only had an appetizer and main meal. Wow - for $78 for the meal I certainly expected a great deal more. It was my first time there.
Fabulous food in a beautiful location. Even though close to hwy 41, there was no discernible road noise on the lovely patio. AJ, our server, was terrific, and very attentive to my numerous food sensitivities. We’ll be back soon!
It is a great place for a romantic evening for 2 if you get the table for 2 overlooking the little lake with 2 spraying fountains. Reserve about 1 hour before sunset.
From minute one - walking in - the hostess was rude and not welcoming at all. Wanted to seat us in back corner and we asked for outside seating - she then acted rude and closed door in our face. Finally got seated outside and waited way too long to get waited on and then took a very long time for meal to arrive. The duck was large and flavorful but it had a spice I did not enjoy. The bisque was good but not great. All in all average food and service was friendly but delayed. When bill came it included 2 glasses of wine we cancelled. Waiter grabbed bill and fixed problem on his own. Outside grounds are great. We will not be returning.
Outstanding food and service. The duck was AMAZING!
Outstanding food and service as always. The view of the lake and fountain fits perfectly with the ambiance and simple, but elegant decorating.
First time to experience Roessler's and we truly enjoyed it. Great location and the grounds are beautiful. We were offered a couple of indoor tables which was a nice option, but then had to stand around while the table was cleared and reset.
Our server was friendly, prompt and helpful. The menu selection was amazing and the food presented artfully. Everything was delicious.
We noticed that there was no background music. After being informed that the system was "not working", we used our phone to play a quiet station on Pandora. This was not an issue as we were the only guests in this particular room of the restaurant.
Roessler's is already a new favorite and we look forward to returning.
Old Florida restaurant with charm and old fashioned curtesy. Beautiful surroundings and the food was delicious. Menu offerings were varied and contained both dishes that are timeless and contemporary. Our server, Julia, was delightful, knowledgeable and attentive without hovering. I would love to return.
Farewell to visiting granddaughter
My wife and I had the lamb. It was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing.
Waitress was a bit intrusive
We had private room room all to ourselves. Annette really made dinner special. Group thoroughly enjoyed meals. Every had different entree. One had Wiener schnitzel and said best ever had.
Dress casual should be minimum requirement in main dining room. Casual dress (t-shirts, hats, etc.) should be seated in bar, outside or a small room. Ambiance in main dining area is great and should be maintained.
Excellent food; reasonably priced wine but pricey meals and desserts. Service top notch. Overall beautiful dining experience.
Excellent food, service ambience
We had a nice table overlooking the pond and fountains. Dinner was absolutely delicious! Our waiter, Mark, was excellent. We were not rushed through our meal, which was appreciated. All in all, it was a wonderful experience.
As al SYS food was excellent. AJ our server is the best!
We make it a point to visit here on our anniversary and for that matter many other times throughout the year. Absolutely the very best around and Mark the waiter is our favorite.
Thanks for making it the best...
Every dish was fantastic
I eat there once a week
Sat outside and very beautiful
We have been there numerous times over the past 7 years and it is always been a great experience
Good food. Nice inside and gardens outside. Good place to relax. Menu had good selections
Beautiful restaurant...reminiscent of Wisconsin high end country house
Our server was overloaded, and, hence, slow & at times inattentive. You need more wait staff.
The lettuce in the wedge salad was the rock hard core of the head.
Espresso machine not working....again.
The food, otherwise, was delicious.
