Rococo Northpark Ratings and Reviews
We've been to this restaurant many times and our last evening the food seemed to go down hill. Ordered the filets and they were just not like what they had been in the past for grilled. The taste was not like any other times. Was really disappointed and will be awhile for us to go back.
Seafood fettuccine was not good. The lobster was strange looking, twisted shape with black/gray edges (not burned). My guest tried to cut off a piece and could not cut. She did not eat the lobster. We questioned it and were told that was the way it was supposed to look. My guest was uncomfortable. This was NOT a $60 entree!
My meal was OK, however, my plate was cleared and my leftover container was placed on table while guest was still eating.
Left feeling ripped off!
We were very excited to try this restaurant. The ambience and atmosphere was good but when the bread came we worried we were in for a poor meal. The bread was stale and served with olive oil with a clove of garlic thrown in. We ordered the duck and the scallops with mushroom risotto. The duck was basic - good but lacking anything to make it stand out. The scallops were excellent but for $28 we got three quarter sized ones. The risotto was dismal. Needless to say we didn’t even try dessert.
We had not visited in a while. I had one of the Cajun special pastas, which was great as was the regular pasta dish. The mushroom soup is one of the two best in OKC. My wife enjoyed the wedge salad with Thousand Island. She thought it was home made. We enjoyed two different wines. The service and atmosphere was very good. We will have to come by more often!
Sunday morning brunch with friends quickly turned very disappointing when we learned upon ordering, there was one option, the $25 buffet and Coffee was extra. The temp was cold enough that my friend was very uncomfortable the entire time. If the food had been sensational, I wouldn't complain but I went away thinking it was all mediocre at best. I think the website should be clear about the menu choices or lack there of. We would not have chosen to go there nor will we be back. The last time we brunched at Rococo's, there was a choice of menu or buffet, and we had wonderful crab cakes and a grape Creme Brûlée that was outstanding. Pity it has changed! The one plus-our server was friendly and helpful.
We have a large family with lots of different dietary requirements/preferences. Whenever we get together on Sundays to celebrate a birthday, Mothers'/Fathers' Day, etc., Rococco at Northpark is our venue of choice. The buffet presentation is visually appealing, and the food choices are all tasty. The variety is large enough to guarantee that every one in my picky crowd will be happy with multiple offerings. Unlike many other buffet set-ups, this one is replenished frequently so everything is fresh. The buffet is about 1/4 steam tables and 3/4 other other semi-self service methods. The serving staff doesn't hover, but is only a raised eyebrow away. Rococco is reasonably priced, and parking is a cinch. All things considered, it's an excellent value for abundant, creative, high-quality food.
We celebrated a birthday at Rococo last Saturday night. First impression, they were setting up for brunch on Sunday and that seemed to be the big focus. Strange to see people seated next to empty buffet tables brought to the center of the restaurant. Obviously, brunch is their big thing, but it would've been better to set up after they close. The food and service get 5 stars and you can get past the blah and dated decor for that reason. We really enjoyed our entrees of grilled ribeye steaks, scallops and mushroom risotto and lobster Mac and cheese. Portion size was decent although the Caesar salad was a little wilted and on the small size. Still overall, food was delicious and our server, even thought she was new, did a fine job! We will be back. Just not on a Saturday night.
On this visit, we were seated in the bar area, which was fair but not ideal for coziness. The waitress was pleasant, obviously new and minimally attentive, having no extraordinary interaction with our party. The food was good, but over-priced for what you get.
Great "go to" choice. Always consistent quality food and great service. New menu is wonderful and the specials are tempting. Wonderful wines that pair very well with the cuisine. Took my brother in law who is in the food industry and teaches at culinary seminars. He loved it. Best part is the great value for price paid. I'll be back often.
The family and I celebrated Mother's Day at Rococo's this past Saturday at noon. (Trying to avoid the crowd and enjoy ourselves.) We loved it.
There was a little mix up with the service at first after we were seated. We waited about 15 mins for someone to come back with drinks and then waited some more.... finally my wife went and asked a group of waiters and some staff to help us and then we received prompt service with complementary mimosas. They saved the day as we were getting hangry!
Service was on point from there on out. Our waiter was great.
Rococos gave us Saturday brunch and lunch menus to order from. The menus had lot more affordable fare than their dinner offerings. We all chose something different and were really impressed with the quality and taste of the food. I particularly want to brag on the lobster salad sandwich with fries. Wow. Perfect on a warm day and chocked full of lobster meat.
A+ Rococos. We will dine again soon.
