Rococo Northpark Ratings and Reviews
Our waitress was assigned to a 30 top table so we got very little attention. I had to chase down another waiter to get bread. Furthermore, we found a candy wrapper in one of our water glasses. We summoned the manager to let him know and he looked at us with a strange look and just said that "looks like a candy wrapper". I wasn't asking for a free meal nor was I expecting it. I got the feeling that he was implying that we planted it, which frankly is offencive. As a manager of people myself, I like to know when my team is falling short and felt he should know. He never said I'm sorry nor did he offer to get us a new water glass. So, my husband drank out of mine. Finally, our waitress never returned to cork our wine. Our meal for 4 with tax was about $500. We expected better service for that price. I won't return nor will I recommend it to my friends and family.
There was a smell of old fish from the time we walked into the door. The food we had was good and I would say that it was worth the price. It is just well known that if you smell fish, it's not likely good. It could be just poor kitchen vents, but I won't return.
I think it is a very nice restaurant and waiter was great. Food was good but a little salty. The wine is a little price. They also taxes for wine. I don’t know about other drinks. In my opinion we are over taxed in Oklahoma. Not restaurant fault. I would probably try it again. We were all there for dinner but looks like the restaurant has a great lunch menu. Would like to try it some time.
Drinks and an appetizer in the bar area were lovely. We then moved to our dining table. My husband's Marlin was excellent. I ordered scallops and lobster. The scallops were cold in the middle. They took them back and brought me another plate. These scallops were also cold in the middle. So they were sent back. Finally, the third serving of scallops was properly prepared. But the lobster was chewy and tough. This should not happen at a restaurant of this quality. I was not charged for the meal. I received an email from Open Table informing me that the restaurant had cancelled our reservation! So I had to deal with that. All in all, our evening was spoiled.
Wow, those crab cakes are two legit to quit. We considered ordering another one for desert. The crab is rich, the breading just enough texture and spices on point. That was the highlight of the evening, hands down. We split the lobster mac and cheese for our entrée and it had tot try and live up to the crab cake but didn't. Solid cheese flavor and great dispersion of lobster. Tasty. We tried the Warm Chocolate Pudding Cake for dessert. We were expecting it to be more cake lake but it is way more dense than a cake. We enjoyed it but would have preferred a more cakelike version.
The place was not super busy, so it was nice. We were sat by a window that looks over the mall area and there were mall walkers going by frequently. That can be distracting. Our server was nice, adept at keeping up with drinks and such but it wasn't busy so it was easier. I wouldn't say they were the most friendly person ever but did a good job.
This place is definitely worth a visit.
Our's was a special Christmas dinner for just my Mother and I. She was looking forward to the wonderful pork chops Rococo serves. She was disappointed to find that a private party had purchased all of the pork chops in the house. She selected the Pork Tenderloin which was very good. I opted for the Rib Eye. When it was served it was under cooked and cold. Even the butter on the steak did not melt. They took it back and were very careful not to over cook it. Upon return the flavor and temperature was scrumptious. I did have to request a steak knife three times before receiving it. Despite the set backs, it was a wonderful evening and we would return again.
The pork belly was not good. The chicken with fried chicken and waffles lacked flavor. The waitress was not familiar with the menu items. First time there for brunch—I may try dinner there but will think twice about returning.
We've been to this restaurant many times and our last evening the food seemed to go down hill. Ordered the filets and they were just not like what they had been in the past for grilled. The taste was not like any other times. Was really disappointed and will be awhile for us to go back.
Seafood fettuccine was not good. The lobster was strange looking, twisted shape with black/gray edges (not burned). My guest tried to cut off a piece and could not cut. She did not eat the lobster. We questioned it and were told that was the way it was supposed to look. My guest was uncomfortable. This was NOT a $60 entree!
My meal was OK, however, my plate was cleared and my leftover container was placed on table while guest was still eating.
Left feeling ripped off!
We were very excited to try this restaurant. The ambience and atmosphere was good but when the bread came we worried we were in for a poor meal. The bread was stale and served with olive oil with a clove of garlic thrown in. We ordered the duck and the scallops with mushroom risotto. The duck was basic - good but lacking anything to make it stand out. The scallops were excellent but for $28 we got three quarter sized ones. The risotto was dismal. Needless to say we didn’t even try dessert.
