Food was delicious, service was impeccable. Beautiful restaurant!
absolutely delicious food, fun atmosphere, must try the brussles!!
Great food, great service. Food was worth the price.
The food was very good. My wife tried elk and it was terrific. My filet was perfectly prepared. Rachel, our server, was very attentive and gave excellent service. The Arts and Crafts design of the restaurant lent a very warm feeling to the room.
We ate dinner at Rockwell’s and it was the best steak dinner my husband and I have ever had! Kimberly was our server and she made the entire experience memorable and was fantastic. Everyone should go there!
Wonderful restaurant, excellent service, outstanding food. I had the venison and my husband the filet which were perfectly prepared and delicious, accompanied by sweet potato wedges which were excellent as well. We split the apple cranberry crisp - so good. Highly recommend this restaurant!
Stayed at Nemacolin this past week for our anniversary and decided on Rockwell's over Aqueous.
Service was fantastic. Very attentive and quick to offer help. It was a Monday night, but we made reservations anyway. There were maybe 10-12 other people in the restaurant and a couple at the bar. I had one of their Cabin Fever Old Fashioned which was excellent (what's not to love about bacon bourbon and chocolate bitters?) and my wife got the basic Tito's and Cranberry.
Ordered the Oysters Rockwell for a starter. They came out quickly and were very good. Biggest issue for the food was the main dishes. Neither of us are big eaters so we decided to split the wet-aged ribeye and a lobster tail with a side of boursin whipped potatoes. Well, when the potatoes are the star of the meal, there's an issue. I actually had to use a little salt which I can't recall ever doing at the table. Steak was served with an excellent béarnaise sauce, but was otherwise bland and tough (for medium rare??). The lobster was nice-sized (8oz), but a bit rubbery. Again, though, the service was on point. Without asking our server had split the ribeye and the lobster and presented it on a plate for each of us. Which is a great touch, even if my wife ate 90% of the lobster and I ate most of the steak.
Great ambience, very romantic, and, again, quiet as it wasn't busy. For the money and food, I do better at Monterey Bay in Pittsburgh or even Ruth's
However, just walking thru the Chateau, though, to the restaurant you realize it was going to be a special night. The chandeliers and artwork are simply amazing. Just wish the mains were better. Going back in the fall to hit up Lautrec and/or Aqueous.
I would expect nothing less than the service we received! Wonderful and we will be back
Our meal was AMAZING!! Service was perfect!! Can not wait to go back!!
A $54 ribeye supposedly hand selected by the chef and prepared in state of the art grille with more than 30% fat. Not a very pleasant experience.
The bread was good? We dine out a lot and that was not fine dining. French onion soup was mediocre (that’s being kind), Caesar salad was sour, steaks were Outback quality and the signature steak sauce was barbecue sauce. Kind of stuck because not many options on the resort, but this place is terrible and not worth the cost whatsoever.
Great food, and wonderful atmosphere. Very knowledgeable staff and friendly.
My husband and I celebrated Valentine's Day at Rockwell's 2020. We were impressed with the professional and expedient service we received from our servers, Jennifer and Kate . The food was excellent! Only downer was the markup of wines. We spent $68 for an $18 dollar bottle of wine. Nevertheless, we thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience at Rockwell's!
It was a very evening with delicious food, with friendly attentive and courteous service.
Great food and selection. A little loud but fantastic overall
The food was delicious and the ambiance was fantastic. Make sure to save time after dinner to explore the grounds. A little pricey but a nice treat for a special occasion
The service and meals were outstanding! Gourmet 5 star restaurant in my opinion! Highly recommend!
Children running around
Our server and sommelier were very nice and attentive. Steaks were good. Sides were very disappointing. You would think for the price they would be shareable. But they weren’t. Mac n cheese was dry and flavorless. Brussel sprouts were way overdone, in fact mush. Mushrooms had no flavor. Whipped potatoes were ok. The restaurant definitely needs to be remodeled. The atmosphere is completely outdated and does not command the price tags of the food.
We really enjoyed our meal at Rockwell’s we split the porterhouse and it was cooked to perfection. It was so large we could not finish it. The mushrooms were my favorite side and my Caesar was light and refreshing with delicious generous slices of cheese.
The service killed it for us. The lady spilled champagne all over the table. No apology. Also she messed up our food order. In general she seemed to be in a rush.
The salmon was excellent- chicken and salads average
Girlfriend’s birthday. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable. The food and dessert were exceptional.
Awesome! Food, service, and atmosphere was perfect!
Loved everything about this place!!!
Rachel was our server and was excellent! Very knowledgeable and super nice, very professional!
Had a wonderful anniversary dinner. Great experience
Took too long for our food. Portions too small for what you pay.
Our meat was ordered medium rare but arrived medium well. We did not receive bread until after our dinner arrived, though we had requested it several times. It appeared that night that if you were a regular customer or employee you were treated much different (better), than first timers.
We won't be back. Would rather go to Aqueous
Good portion sizes.
Excellent food in a cozy restaurant setting. Service was also excellent. Would highly recommend dining here.
Rockwell’s never disappoints. Great food, service & ambiance. A relaxing atmosphere to enjoy a delicious meal with special people!
lovely evening, wine and meal. Recommend the cheeseboard.
I enjoyed a meal at Rockwell’s on new year’s day with my boyfriend as part of his christmas gift. it was one of the best meals we’ve ever had, and the service was incredible. they were able to make me an amazing non alcoholic beverage, and the they recommended the brussels sprouts which blew our minds. such a wonderful meal and an overall wonderful night, we’ve already decided to come back for our anniversary
My husband and I love to treat ourselves to this meal once a year. The steaks are the best I’ve ever had, great service, delicious wine. They don’t rush the meal which we enjoy.
Steaks were mediocre. We had fatty pieces of meat.
Although the food was good we did not feel the quality matched the price . The service was slow , the ambience was average and it was loud. Good wine selection and waitress gave us complimentary wine for the long wait. Sadly , we were disappointed considering this was a dinner we were looking forward to with our kids. We would not recommend it.
Celebrating the Christmas with family. The food was ok, but 2 of the very expensive steaks came out charred. Our son ate his because he was starving after a 45 min wait. My husband sent his back. The wait for food was unacceptably long- and Rockwell’s was really the only option for a “nice” meal without having to use the shuttle. Our wait for food was awful EACH time we ate here. Over an hour for breakfast... just truly unbelievable for prices and perceived quality of the resort. Also, I am not sure who they normally cater to but there were only a few wine bottle options listed for under $100. One was Phantom which I can buy at the grocery store for $20 at home. It was $65 on the Rockwell’s menu. The highlight were the Fall Harvest and Wedge salads. Both were delicious, but overall the experience(s) were a big disappointment.
Horrible service, food come out late and over done. Manager did not seem to care or talk to me about food quality!!! Never again!!!
