Très bien côté vignoble , moyen côté nourriture service lent
Le vin vintage très bon
We were expecting a self guided tour of the actual winery so were disappointed to find it was only a basement room with several items reflecting on the history of wine making.
The three free wine tastings were enjoyable and it was nice to see you could pick from a broad range of wines and ice wines to try.
The salad we had was good and bigger them we expected. However, I think feta would have been a better choice then blue cheese in the salad. (not on my list of favourite cheeses at all) I found the chicken marsala was overcooked and the bottom of mine was rock hard. I saw no reason to include the chicken's leg. I also found the carrots under cooked and rock hard. The mashed potatoes were an excellent choice with the chicken and marsala sauce and were for me the best part of the entree. My wife was ill when we got home but was not sure if it was the wine or food that caused it.
The view, from the dining table, was ok if you like watching people putt and chip and wash golf carts. (not what I consider a view worth while)
The lamb and braised sirloin were both nice. It wasn’t busy and felt like regular dining was a bonus and the real focus is weddings and events. Which is fine if you don’t care about dining around company.
Stopped on our way to Niagara Falls for our anniversary weekend. We thought we were going to have lunch at the vineyard instead the restaurant was at the golf course. We were hoping for a romantic view of the vines instead we had a view of food tents on the golf course because there was a tournament underway. The cheese platter arrived and looked well put together. Enough for two to share. We both ordered the rainbow trout and mine was fishy. It was served with the skin up and the mushroom cream cream sauce was poured on top of the skin. We had to scrape it off of the skin in order to actually be able to eat it. Had I known I wouldn't have stopped!
Really enjoyed our dinner. Started with an appetizer. So good... had the fish and chips - excellent. Our server was very pleasant and most attentive. Great place to stop for dinner or lunch if coming from or going to the GTA. WORTH THE DRIVE! Nice scenery getting there from the Highway. Would recommend this highly. Not our first visit!
My husband and I went for Fathers day brunch. Our server was a lovely young lady very knowledgeable and very friendly. All her suggestions were spot on, I only wish that I could remember her name. The food was delicious and the presentation was lovely. Will return again for sure.
We arrived early for our reservation and our table was ready and waiting. The waitress was extremely helpful and friendly. The food was scrumptious. The view of the golf course was very peaceful. A great place for an early breakfast or any time of the day.
Noticed that Rockway was offering Mothers day brunch. What a surprise! Beautiful set up, great food and prices. Charging by child's age is a great idea!
We Wil be back again.
Wonderful experience with the wine tasting and a delicious meal. Had a very pleasurable experience
Great food! Scenic view. Enjoyed our wine tasting, too!
Restaurant was fine but your website was wrong about availability. Open Table offered us only 2 times a table was available, and not the time we requested. We were the ONLY table occupied in the dining room at that time and during the earlier time we had requested. Not fair to the people running the dining room or potential customers. I prefer call the dining establishment ahead of time in the future and not use Open Table
This is a restaurant of a clubhouse. There is also a seperate store with their wines. If you do not play a round of golf, do not go to the restaurant, you will be disappointed. It was not really busy and we had to wait for a while before the barman came of ask if we needed menus.
Fish was overcooked and the mushrooms were cooked to being hard and chewy The wedding next-door made it a little noisy
Everything was great with the exception the wine glasses and wine bucket were filthy! Quality and quantity of food tasty.
Our server was great!
I enjoyed dining at Rockway. Everything was great but we were the only people dining so I would have liked a few more people to give it a more festive atmosphere. Other than that, everything else was great.
I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone for any reason. We waited 30 minutes before receiving water and a promise of I'll be right back. Received glass of wine within 60 minutes and walked out after 90 minutes. The restaurant wasn't busy. Golf members were getting food and drinks before us.
I don't know why they treated us this way ... we could have been potential golf members, they wouldn't know.
We thought at first waitress was inexperienced and give her a chance. They just didn't want us there. We will tell everyone we know to stay away from this spot
Excellent food and service, there with a travelzoo coupon which made it great value for money spent.
We purchased a Travel Zoo voucher and used it as a day trip. We enjoyed sampling the wine and had a nice dinner. The mussels were amazing! Steak was cut super thin but I knew what to expect since we got such a great deal. Would love to play their golf course next time. Views were great from the dining room and our wine was excellent!
Good lunch, nice setting with the golf course and vineyard, great value and service was friendly
Used a Travelzoo voucher. The food was good and the value was amazing. The wines though were average in my opinion.
We had to wait a long time for 2 of the 5 people's meals to come (who brings part of a table's food?) and when they did come, they were wrong. The food tasted good when we finally got it, but the service totally ruined it.
The setting was beautiful and we had a table overlooking the golf course. We were seated almost immediately. The waitress took a long time to come and greet us to take our drink order so we helped ourselves to the buffet. When we sat down the comment from the waitress was, "oh, you found the food".
There was not a huge selection and what was there was lukewarm as the serving chafes had been left open. The gentleman at the omelette station was already packing up at 230 even though our reservation was for 2. He did make very nice custom omelettes for us.
When I went up for a second plate the waitress had laid my knife and fork on the bare table.
The waitress was not very attentive and didn't seem interested in providing us with good customer service. The type of service we received was equivalent to what one would expect from a roadhouse diner.
The online menu listed baked ham but this was not available. The online menu included coffee and tea, but this was not the case when we were there. There were no hot vegetables. We booked online and were disappointed with the above-mentioned items left out.
I had a party of six on Mother's Day and I'm sorry to say that the food was not good. The sausage and bacon were soooòoo greasy however the omelette was okay. The salmon was overcooked and chewy and the roast beef was like leather and also overcooked. The service wasn't good as I had to ask for water, drinks, refills of everything. Noone offered without being told. On top of that three of us were sick on Sunday night. I don't ever complain but for$32 the meal was awful and I would not recommend it to anyone
Came for my wife's birthday. We really enjoyed the view and the wine tasting before in the wine boutique. Great service and terrific wines. We are going to come back soon to try their Golf , Dine and Wine package.
Had a fantastic first experience at Rockway. Beautiful setting. Great food. Great value.
first time there for lunch and was so pleased with the meal. had the flat iron steak! delicious
the tasting bar in the winery is also great to visit after lunch. would absolutely go back and have a meal.
Beautiful venue. Staff went over and above. Food was amazing. Great wine menu, with tastings on site.
It was a beautiful fall day people were still golfing. The staff at the tasting were very good and knowledgeable. Our waitress was very friendly. We had a good time. It felt like a mini getaway.
Great value for our Travel Zoo voucher! We all enjoyed our food immensely!
The restaurant was not open. We drove an hour to be greeted by locked doors. We had a reservation with open tables. I feel we deserve the points for the drive and disappointment. No one was there but us!
The food was excellent....very fresh and extremely good taste/flavour.
I was disappointed that we couldn't sit in the dining room. Turned out it was closed.
We sat in the cafeteria for birthday lunch
Golf course was open when it was stated online it was closed
We would have golfed if we were aware.
Disappointed in the ambliance
From the time we arrived we were well taken care of. The staff were very friendly and wanted to insure we had a good time.
Had an awesome dinner! The flat iron steak option was very delicious! And the tastings we had before dinner were not delicious, but people serving were very educational. Thank you for a wonderful evening!
Had a nice evening with friends. First spent time wine tasting and then enjoyed a delicious four course meal in the quiet diningroom. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable.
Beautiful, relaxing setting; excellent wine-tasting with friendly, knowledgable staff; very good service, although we did have to ask for napkins; food was satisfactory.
Wine tasting was fine and the visit to the museum downstairs was interesting. Server was very nice...quite approachable...easy to chat with.
However, food was O.K....except for the flatiron steak which was MOST chewy.
Server needs a few lessons on HOW to serve....pouring the wine, not reaching across the table for plates.....
really enjoyed the Small Lot Wines , terrific view great atmoshere
A great find when other restaurants were booked up during Wine festival. Very quiet this Saturday evening because rain had kept the golfers away. Beautiful view of lush golf course. Friendly service from young server. We both ordered the special, prime rib, and it was delicious and a bargain at $18.00 for generous servings. Breaking the rules about wine pairings, we tried the White Assemblage wine, which was good but not spectacular. Wine by the glass a reasonable price. Interesting wall murals by a local artist.
