Went there with friends for my birthday. Our server suggested we do chefs tasting menu -plenty of food and what a variety. Great value as well! Everything was delicious and service was really good too. Planning on going back soon

Absolutely wonderful experience. We origianally had a reservation for 2 but later invited another friend. I called and asked if they could still accommodate us and they did so with no problem. Our server Stephen was AMAZING!!! He was extremely accommodating as one member of our party has food allergies and Stephen constantantly checked with the chef to insure what she ordered was safe for her to eat. The food is like nothing I have ever had before! The Malaysian Salmon and brussel sprouts were outstanding!!!! Oh!!!! The house made ginger soda is out of this world!!!!

Overall good food , beautiful decor and very nice servers . There is something just a little off - the other Oak Brook redtaurants are better for now - I think this restaurant will improve .

My 2nd visit and definitely worth a repeat. Beautiful surroundings, cosy booth, friendly and prompt service by servers who clearly take pride in the food and drinks. Great for dates or catching up with family and friends. Husky recommended!

Took the family here for my birthday. I'm less adventurous than my kids and grandkids, but they raved about the food - and I found stuff for me to eat, as well! Much variety and some very interesting dishes. Southeast Asian but through the lens of the founder and chef, so I doubt it was "authentic," although everything I had was excellent. However, the service was only fair and not very attentive. We were here shortly after it opened and the server was very good about explaining everything. Maybe since we indicated we had been there before our server didn't see the need to do that, but we might have missed out on some truly great dishes without a little guidance. Since some of the dishes were really created for the restaurant it's not readily apparent what might appeal to us, like it would be in, say, a traditional Italian restaurant, where everyone pretty much knows what Chicken Parmesan is. So guidance is good - even for patrons who had been there before. Don't be afraid to ask questions! It's easy to run up quite a bill, buying three or four appetizers for the group to share (we had six people) and the same with entrees. So be prepared for a little sticker shock at the end. But the food is great, it's a very interesting idea and a beautiful restaurant. Highly recommended - just make sure you ask questions if you don't know what something is!

Just got a email from my sister saying Rock Sugar was the best. She and my nieces loved it. So did I. I'll be back with more and more friends for sure. Kierstin the waitress was amazing. Calm...knowledgable of ingredients..asked about allergies...patient. Accurate...our meals were perfect. I loved the ambience too. I will tell all my friends to go here. But if I do that...I might not get a table. Lol Joan
