   Beautiful setting and architecture. The food was a little disappointing my crab starter was too chilled to taste the full flavour, our skate was topped with crispy kale that was very greasy, also the hispi cabbage was oily and the heart oddly missing and our mashed potato had a most odd flavour. Unfortunately our starters were cleared but the kitchen not unformed so we had a long wait this was acknowledged by the waitress / manager and two drinks were gifted.

   Fantastic Sunday lunch. Grilled prawns and roast beef. Both super tasty. Look forward to return visit so we can sit On the deck like last summer

   The service and attention to detail was out of this world. The slight downside was the music in the bar was extremely loud and I love loud music but this was too much.

   Food was fabulous. Service was slow, but the food was worth the wait. The staff were very helpful when I asked for an amendment to a dish (due to a food intolerance), & the chef suggested a delicious alternative

   Great venue with lovely views across the Channel. Food was excellent, service great, always quite noisy when busy but always enjoyable.

   Great night at Rocksalt from beginning to end,could not fault it.Staff very welcoming and friendly ,lovely table looking out at the harbour.Food very good,my husband went for the mushroom steak( would recommend adding some sides) and really enjoyed it whilst I had the Folkestone cod with a side of chips( shared with husband).I rarely eat dessert as do not have a sweet tooth but was too full for cheese (my usual choice.)I had the chocolate mousse….sublime and my husband had the poached pear. Love going to Rocksalt,we are so lucky to have such a great place to visit within walking distance.Also recommend the bar upstairs with new food menu

    We have been to Rocksalt a couple of time before and it has always been a lovely experience. However yesterday seemed very lacklustre. The food and service just seemed below par. We had to wait 45 minutes between starter and main course. When the bill comes to over £250 for three people, I would expect better.
