Pretty good food, not great ; you're definitely paying for the privilege of sitting next to the Rockefeller skating rink. For 2 appetizers, 2 drinks, 1 entree, and 1 dessert, our pre-tip tab was $123. I said "noisy" in my ratings, because we were seated next to a very loud couple; if they were absent, I suspect the noise level would be moderate.
Always friendly service, a little slow at times, so if in a rush, let them know. Nice views watching the skating rink, everyone having a good time. Food always enjoyable, good selection, prices average for the area. Consistent from visit to visit.
Went to the Rock Center Cafe with a group of 9 for an early lunch prior to Rockefeller Center touring / ice skating, and it was a great experience. The staff accommodated our large group, and the waiter was extremely attentive. Food was at our table quickly and was very tasty. We had a great experience, and I would definitely go back again during a future visit.
Great location, next to Rockefeller Center, and food, but a bit expensive. I will return for sure
If you want a good view of people ice skating then this is the place for you. Ok food and beverage options though not inexpensive.
My partner and I went for Sunday brunch. We had booked a table, but the restaurant was not busy. The service was very brisk and efficient, but polite and attentive. My partner ordered eggs benedict, which he said were delicious. I ordered the pancakes and, whilst they were very good, there was just too much and I couldn't eat it all. It was a very pleasant experience and there was no rush to move us on, which made for a leisurely and relaxing atmosphere. However, I would ask them to reconsider the brand of English breakfast tea they use because it was pretty awful!
Beet & cauliflower salad was delicious. Orrechiette portion was huge but not wonderful. My friend ordered the prix fixe and enjoyed all three courses. Overall, a pleasant place to have a meal.
The specialty menu was Supper family style. Generous portions and was absolutely scrumptious! We were able to sit by the window which always has a great view. Service great and handcrafted cocktails delicious! Desert-well it was phenomenal! Definitely a favorite spot for a Friday night, Birthday & Holiday. You can’t go wrong with this NYC gem!
Ordered the $29 promotional 3 course dinner which was excellent. There were 2 appetizers, 2 entrees & dessert all served family style which were all really good. Lots of leftovers which we took home.
The food and service here is really good and excellent value.
Everything was just ok. Nothing to rave about....and certainly not worth the money. I could see how this would be a great spot during the winter since you look right out on to the rink in Rockefeller Center.
Always great food and great service!
Good food, value environment and excellent service.
I went with my family for dinner. It was a wonderful experience. The food was awesome. The waiter so friendly and professional. The manager was very professional and friendly. I would definitely go again with family and friends. 👍👍
Everything was great except for the service.
I do not understand why they hired people who cannot serve - aggressive attitude and language, throwing bread instead of placing on your plate, hurrying the customer to decide on the menu, etc.
it's a shame that such a nice restaurant with great ambiance and food is ruined by their servers...
Excellent view of ice skaters (in season) and a location convenient to many attractions.
Food was very average but the atmosphere is lovely.
My daughter and grand daughter and I made a Saturday afternoon reservation for brunch during a NYC adventure. It was lovely to have a table guaranteed at this conveniently located restaurant at Rockefeller Center. The food was appreciated by all of us - my granddaughter ordered blueberry pancakes off of the adult menu and was thrilled. My daughter had steak and eggs that were cooked to perfection though the steak was a little tough. And I throughly enjoyed the gazpacho and cold half lobster. Service was efficient though impersonal - not unexpected in NYC. We were able to enjoy the beautiful sunny day outside on the huge patio near the fountain. Inside dining looked very nice, too. We will definitely make a return visit.
Excellent Ocktoberfest menu and a really fun time with friends.
The chef and team did a great job with the menu and presentation of each dish.
A little hiccup on the food preparation for one order but once that was taken care of everything was perfect. Great location. Love the fountain.
The food is ordinary to say the least.Horrendously overpriced. It may be a iconic location in NYC but that is it! Oh yes almost forgot! To advise people what they should pay your staff gratuity is insulting.
This is a very touristy place - but the view is great and the service was excellent. However, in my party of five, three of us had chicken in three different forms - none of which seemed to be cooked thoroughly. We didn't return it because they were so busy and the server was slammed. The two others without chicken dishes enjoyed their meals very much. We enjoyed our time, but it is what you expect - mediocre food which is way overpriced for the quality, but there's a great view and enjoyable service.
Great service, great location. My "go to" place for breakfast meetings in midtown.
Horrible experience, worst time ever, terribke service from the beguining!
Would have been all "fives" save for the fact that I requested a window table and none was available.
Despite some recent bad reviews we went there on Tuesday night for dinner for my daughters 6th birthday. They read my opentable comments and seated us outside by the fountain bc it was my daughters birthday. Our waiter was amazing and very attentive. We did the price fixe dinner for $39. My Gazpacho was amazing and chicken milanese was good- needed more dressing. My husband got the chicken soup and his skirt steak was great. All in all good meal.
After a full day exploring NYC, we were in the mood for a quiet dinner and chose to sit inside instead of the more lively summer garden. We ordered from the three-course prix fixe menu. The skirt steak with chimichurri sauce was excellent as was the chicken milanese which was covered in arugula (a little too much!). For dessert the New York cheese cake was good; however, the crisp meringue on the gluten-free lemon tart tasted stale and detracted from the overall flavor. Rock Center Cafe is a great place to go before or after a show at Radio City Music Hall or the Top of the Rock tour.
Our family went for breakfast on my daughter's birthday on a Sunday. We arrived when they open at 9:30 only to be told they weren't open until 10. I let the lady at the hostess counter know that the sign out front states they open at 9:30. She just said "oh" and walked away. We came back and 10 and another hostess was very nice. Long story short, this place is a tourist trap for travelers. Our breakfast was overpriced, boring, and served cold. We won't be back.
Other than the host who took us to the table and dropped half our utensils that were wrapped inside a napkin and then did not replace them...everything else was Excellent. Waitress was awesome!
Nice area to sit outside on a pretty day. It was pretty hot the day we were there.
Great place for breakfast. The food was delicious.
Had a good lunch upon arrival in a great spot with a great view! Server was very good and food was delicious!
Visit with my adult children.
The ambiance was great, it a perfectly located and great for photos. Food and drinks were alright nothing to rave about and the service wasn’t the best for the type of restaurant. Our glasses were empty and the waiter didn’t check on us.
Been to NYC at least 3 times a year and never ate there it was recommended by sales person at Sak’s The food was great and the server was great too. Everyone was so nice. Can’t wait to go back to NYC to have lunch there
Excellent food. Great hamburger with fries. Love the ambiance of the outdoor Rock Center Summer Garden Cafe with the fountains and Prometheus statue.
Higher priced for breakfast, server didn’t say one word to us. She was very grumpy and seemed bothered that we were there.
The waiter could have been more attentive. We had to ask multiple times for more coffee and the side of fruit that we ordered.
The food was great and the prices were reasonable. The server was very nice and it was quiet, so we were able to talk. The only thing that was annoying was that they kept trying to take our plates away while we were eating! I hate that. The froze was sooooo delicious! I definitely recommend.
Great food, quiet and good for discussion for both personal and business catch up.
