It was fantastic. Food and service was wonderful, and our request to be seated in front of skating rink was met.
Excellent food and service. Even though there was a prefix holiday menu there was a lot to choose from and the price wasn't bad considering what they had to offer and being in manhattan. The view of the rink was also great. Watched a couple get enganged. Great place to have dinner during the holidays.
Inattentive staff - they had canceled my OpenTable reservation and re-seated me twice despite having made a prior reservation. Then, I got a note saying that I had not honored my reservation when I had settled my bill at Table B13/1 - check 1246 - dated Dec 13th, at 3.34pm with Server 388680 Daniel V with my Visa card ending in 8396. Please make sure that I have received the credit for this dining at Rock Center Cafe.
It's Rockefeller Center - it's window seating by the ice rink (if you can get it) but the food wasn't all that exciting. This time of year it's a prix fixe of $50 per person. Service was very good and attentive. Again you're going to feel the hustle and bustle of the holidays.
We went for lunch. Fixe menu very overpriced for the choices. Service was slow and not very attentive.
Great food, great service, great views.
Flat out great.
enjoyed very much. Great view and ambiance. Filet was perfect
My first time here. They have a special holiday menu. The food and staff was excellent with a great view of the ice.
Went with a friend and we had hoped to get a table by the window to look out on the skaters on the Ice rink. Got there early and it was very crowded and when it was time for our reservation 1pm low and behold they seated us by the window. It was wonderful. We even saw gentleman proposing to a lady right on the ice when they cleared it for cleaning the rink.
Great afternoon, were not ruched and had a very relaxing time.
Although we had a reservation and called to say we were going to be a few minutes late, we did have to wait about 20 minutes to be seated.
Other than that, it was a nice experience.
Great spot during the holidays .Able to enjoy the skaters on the rink while having a tasty lunch
Wonderful spot w delicious food and great service !! This is a yearly trip for us to see the Tree and eat lunch here.
LOVE it !!!🎄🎄🎄🎄
The food was delicious and portioned very well. Kids meals were great too!
I realize it’s the holiday season and they have a price fixed menu but they want to serve everything at once including the salad the entry and then the desert. Too rushed feeling... did not appreciate that!
Christmas trip to NYC!!
We had a reservation and our table was ready on time. Good drinks. There were 4 of us. 1 steak, 1 chicken, 1 duck, 1 short ribs. All excellent. Our server Chastity was very accpmodatong and thorough. We will be back.
I came for a business lunch much meeting during the holiday season. We were seated about 10 minutes late and the service was slow. The food was mediocre and the service was slow. I wouldn’t recommend going during the holiday season unless you have plenty of time to spare.
Food was terrible. Burgers tasted awful and left me feeling sick for my day in NY. The service was slow but it is Christmas time. Manager took a few burgers off the bill but honestly it was terrible.
Enjoyed our breakfast at the Rock Café!! The food was delicious and the view watching the skaters was great. Wonderful dining experience!
Wonderful as always! Love the view, the food and service. Reasonably priced for a quality meal!
I made this reservation back in June because I was really excited about our “Christmas in New York” vacation and celebrating our ten year anniversary. I made a special request (like everyone else I’m sure) to be seated by a window overlooking the tree. I thought booking so early in advance would have made a difference. When I made the reservation there was no mention about the Prix Fixe Menu so was surprised by that the day before our arrival. I was very disappointed when we were seated back by the bar and no where near the windows and couldn’t even see the tree. Our waitress was great though. Bread was hard and cold to start. Appetizers were okay. Our water glasses were empty before the meal arrived and no one offered to fill them the rest of the night despite the fact that I put them at the end of the table in plain sight. The Petit Filet I had ordered Medium came out well done and the top was so tough I could barely cut through it. It shredded like a dry pot roast..... I was hoping my Apple Pie with Salted Caramel would make up for some of the disappointments but I took one bite and it was ice cold straight out of the fridge. One of the managers even reprimanded one of his waitstaff right in front of our table, very unprofessional. We went on a busy Sunday night during the Christmas Season...but this restaurant was a major disappointment. Our waitress was the only part of this experience that was enjoyable.
Great location. Food was ok. High priced.
Ok so I know it’s the holiday season
Tourists everywhere, I booked rock center cafe so we could watch the skating and be right by the tree!!
The food is fine but didn’t know about the prix fixe menu
So that was ridiculous, they need to let you know at time of reservation on line or via phone.
The hostess area is run like a bowling alley, absolutely no care to the customer, very unprofessional, not inviting, staff lacking inter social skills.
For $75 per person I don’t want to sit by the kitchen, nor for a table of 5, have one person stuck in the aisle with all the traffic flow of customers and waiters
The only saving grace was our waiter Stephen, they need more people like him. My dirty martini helped.
Listen your dining experience is supposed to be relaxing, that’s the point. Paying $75 is fine when it’s worth it and in some instances it not expensive. Second restaurant in Rockefeller center that needs improvement. This is New York City, Act like it!!
We went during a holiday Prix fixe dinner menu. There was a large selection of entrees to choose from. The salad was sans tomatoes and cucumbers, but other than that the dressing and salad were good. My main entree of BAROLO-BRAISED SHORT RIB Creamy Mascarpone Polenta, Seasonal Mushrooms was excellent. The cheesecake was delicious.
I highly recommend going during the ice skating season.
We wanted to watch people on the rink while having dinner and of course, I was seated at far from the window as possible. I knew that it was going to happen when I requested to be seated as close as possible. I always end up with the opposite scenario. My guest was extremely disappointed. It was definitely NOT worth a $300 meal.
Really had a great time we had nice seats, great food and friendly waiter
We had reservations & still had to wait 45 minutes. Food was very good, tasty & hot. Service was ok... not very attentive. Something u want to do once... but not again.
Food was great as usual! But, because the of the Holiday crowds, we were not seated on time (1pm reservation)
And were seated at a make shift table in an aisle!!!
Have been to the restaurant a few times before and had a wonderful time & table.
One of the worst dining experiences of my life. Long delays to be seated, dirty table, filthy glassware, rushed meal and cold food prepared well in advance. Such a disappointment!
I went with my childhood friends for our annual Christmas brunch. The staff was excellent. We had reservations and still had to wait an additional 45 mins for our table. Overall we had a lovely time!
It was a wonderful experience!
We were treating the grandchildren and they were very excited!!! Especially when Santa was skating by! The view of the tree was fabulous 🎄
All went well, Service was fantastic!
A perfect day to get into the holiday spirit 💛🎄💛
My grandsons favorite part of the meal was the brownie sundae!
Had a reservation but still waited in line for quite a while. The food was mediocre at best
Love this place! Iconic.
Had indicated that it was a special birthday in the reservation but no acknowledgement was made
We had a reservation at 9:30pm, checked in at 9:15, and still did not get seated until 10:00pm. The server was great and obviously the setting, being next to the Rockefellar skating rink, was neat. Still not worth it. All very overpriced low quality food. The bread rolls were hard and cold. Drinks for $16?? $23 Ceasar salad that was just lettuce and cheap croutons with overcooked bland chicken (no marinade or flavor of any kind). The $9 cup of fries had about a dollars worth inside, a small single serving. We had some appetizer that came cold and was so gross we sent it back and had it taken off the bill. Maybe the entree’s were better and worth the big price tags, but our experience was not great.
We made a reservation for 7:45 did not get seated until 8:30! We were walking to the bathroom and one of your waitresses (short died blonde hair over brown hair, short in stature, nasty look on her face the whole time we were there) ran into my daughter who has cerebral palsy and almost knocked her the ground then yelled an obscenity at her! We will never return! It was her fault not my daughters and then to yell at her DISGUSTING!!
We waited for about 1/2 hour despite having a reservation but then we got a table right at the windows & it was so wonderful watching the skaters. The restaurant was very noisy & chilly but our waitress was very friendly & efficient. Food was good but nothing amazing. I had the chicken & it was dry but the experience of eating here was worth it!
I had a Cheeseburger it was the best I have ever had!! The food and service were awesome
fine. easy. may be a wait but bar is good.
