My girlfriend and I were celebrating our one year anniversary and the Rock Center Cafe held this perfect evening for this occasion! The food was very good, although we wished some things could of been better. The best part is watching the skaters and enjoying the coziness of the atmosphere! Can’t wait to go back!
We were in the city for my daughter’s birthday, great view of the ice rink.
Food was ok but not great. Service was a bit slow. Best part is the view of the ice rink and the ability to people watch.
Overall better than expected. Service very friendly. Food was quite good, given “tourist aspect” of restaurant. Fit the occasion very well.
We went for my daughters 16th birthday. Service was great. View is amazing. Would definitely go again.
Perfect brunch ending to a perfect NYC weekend!
Great service, good view and overall good value for your time and money
The views of the rink were great! The food was very good. I felt it was overpriced, but not unreasonable for NYC.
We had a very nice brunch here. It’s neat to be able to watch the ice rink as you eat. Waitress was very attentive. Eggs Benedict were very good. Coffee was good.
We all loved our lunch and thoroughly enjoyed watching the skaters whizzing and stumbling by as we ate. The staff was very accommodating and the food was delicious.
We had the “Sunday Dinner” which was really tasty - my date and I shared two awesome appetizers - the eggplant was delish! Then the main course was a roasted chicken and pasta bolognese that was worth the extra wait followed by a delectable tiramisu and cannoli combo desert and all for $29/pp - so worth it. Wait staff were courteous and attentive. We got lucky enough to get seated near the glass with a clear view of the rink. Overall a great night!
Food was good. Service was not. Waitress was nice but not attentive. When asked @ fish special she said... bass. Did not explain how it was prepared. Needed plates for sharing appetizers and desserts and had to take off of unoccupied tables each time cause we couldn’t find her. Two waiters behind us were arguing @ their table assignments. It was very nice watching the skaters but wouldn’t come back anytime soon.
While the food and ambiance was good overall, the service was horribly slow.
Fantastic! I brought my mom in for her birthday and everything was great. Our waiter Eder was terrific too!
This was our second dinner at Rock Center Cafe. They're pretty expensive but worth the splurge for special occasions. We love the atmosphere and the food, and the service staff is friendly and attentive.
I was actually a bit disappointed in my entree this time. I ordered the $49 sirloin. I wasn't expecting the best steak in the world, but for the price, I was hoping for a really good steak. It was painfully mediocre, not nearly worth the price. However, my wife's meal was great, and the appetizers and dessert were delicious.
It was an excellent experience overall. I'm sure we'll continue to go back for special occasions.
Great service. Great view of the skating rink. Clean restroom
Table was in front of the rink and was wonderful to watch the skaters while eating. The food was a wonder surprise! Very good! No one rushed us to turn the table either.
It was great nice staff
Visited for Valentine anniversary....table overlooking the ice rink was available as requested....and on time. The staff knew of our anniversary and were attentive to our needs. The price fix menu had ample choices. The food was excellent as was the service. All and all a very enjoyable evening.
Wonderful service. The view of the ice skating rink was entertaining
Perfect mid-town lunch spot - good quality food, pleasant service and very patient with us staying an extended period catching up with friends who joined us for lunch.
Excellent dining experience. We dine here often with our grandson. The food is great. The service is great and it’s the perfect location.
The friend I met for a late lunch was in NYC from England with 18 of her 14&15 year old History students. Her students were skating on the Rockefeller rink. I'd booked a rinkside table which was perfect. The food was disappointing and expensive, but we enjoyed our long meeting and the staff didn't make us feel we should leave.
Iconic location. good food, good service—nothing exemplary.
Spectacular setting, great food, friendly service and they honor reservations! A winner!!!!
My compliments to Chef Buico, the restaurant week pre-fixe lunch was absolutely delicious. Soup was spicy and tasty, French dip was scrumptious and chocolate cake and gelato was amazing. Also, really enjoyed watching people ice skating; so fun.
Fantastic service and great food. After getting married at the Top of the Rock we were well looked after, there was a great choice of food which we all enjoyed whilst watching the ice skaters. Lovely atmosphere, would highly recommend.
It was lovely to be seated by the window overlooking the ice skating ring.
Great kale salad, not so great pasta dish( greens were funny tasting) and superb Cheescake.
Came for restaurant week at lunch time and it was a very nice experience.
Kind of disappointing. $39 for the price fixe for appetizer, entree, and dessert seemed reasonable for NYC at Rockcenter. Unfortunately the entree fell flat. We ordered two skirt steaks medium. One piece was very thin and well done. The second piece was much thicker and rare. Sent it back. The woman came back with the steak so quick it seemed like she only had time to walk to the kitchen and back. The steak was still rare. Both steak entree portions were entirely too small. Appetizer size. Additionally all of the bread was cold and rock hard. So hard you could break a tooth. Soup was good. Final analysis is we would not recommend the Rockcenter cafe.
My burger was ordered medium. It came overcooked, dessicated (probably too lean a mix of beef) with a stale brioche bun and barely a wisp of melted cheddar. The fries were fine, but nothing special. Service was fine but again, it took a while to get waited on. The hostess refused to seat us until the clock ticked another 60 seconds to the precise hour of our reservation.
Enjoyed a quiet weekday lunch with a great view of the ice rink (and Jenna Bush Hager impersonating a skater -- never know what you'll see here). The chicken vegetable soup and hot tea were the perfect antidote to a cold day. Our waiter was quite good. Service like a much pricier venue.
This is a must when visiting New York, or as a local, when visiting Rockefeller Center. The food is good, but not great, but it's always dependable. The service is the same, but the view and the location is iconic. I love the place.
Went to Rock Center Cafe while visiting NYC. The view was fabulous, but the service and food were excellent, too!
Service was very very slow. Kitchen was unaccommodating with my picky eater. Food was very good though.
Right next to the ice skating rink. Quiet ambience. Food is decent
Jimmy R our waiter was just not consistently attentive. Never asked if anyone wanted coffee, desert. I preorder apps and for when my clients were arriving and they came to the table before folks arrived. My uncle worked here from 1969 until the mid's 80's (then Promade Café) Phil Sarubbi- its not what it once was.
We had very good meals, excellent service and enjoyed watching the skaters.
Their new quinoa and vegetable dish is incredible both in taste, texture, and presentation
I was entertaining my 7 and 6 year old grandchildren after taking them to see The Lion King.
My 7 year old granddaughter announced, after reading the children's menu, "This is my dream menu...Penne and Lemonade"!
The waiter was particularly kind with the younger set and the outdoor ice skating view provided to be entertaining for all.
