Fun dinner, great looking out at the skateing rink and all the characters and the best-- GOOD FOOD
Very disappointing. Would not recommend. Reservation was late. First table assigned was terrible in a corner next to the service bar Declined that table. Was told we could not have the 4 course dinner we signed up for but then this was rectified. Forgot to give us 2nd course so had to take back third course and bring second which was not hot. Waitress was terrible. Other than the ambiance, this was a very bad experience.
Amazing food! The service was great and watching the people ice skate was so much fun.
Food was excellent. Window table with a view of the skating rink. Service was excellent. All in all, very fair value for a very enjoyable brunch.
I recently celebrated a "big" birthday, and as a present I received a gift card to the Sea Grille and tickets to see Beautiful. When i called to make the dinner reservation, i was disappointed that the Sea Grille was closed for a private party. However, it was suggested that we try the Rock Cafe as an alternative. I am so happy we did that! The Rock Cafe was such a special treat, and being able to look out and watch the skaters was so entertaining and joyful. The food was delicious and artistically presented, and the service was attentive and considerate....when we informed them that we had tickets to an 8 PM show, they made every effort to help us get out on time. It was my mistake to not have allowed more time to enjoy the venue; i would have loved to linger longer and soak in the whole scene. Absolutely a great experience that i highly recommend.
We came for an early business breakfast. Fresh, French-pressed coffee started us off follwed by delicious eggs, yoghurt, breads. Great view. Great service.
For treating a young tourist in mid-winter, watching the ice skaters, with lovely service and more than adequate food, the restaurant was fine.
I’ve been here a few times and love it but we were disappointed by the attitude of the waiter...New Yorker who didn’t like tourists. You don’t have tourists, you’re going to be missing quite a few customers.
Lovely setting overlooking the skating rink. Nice menu, good food, pleasant, efficient service. Enjoyed it.
Great place & food.
Great view of Ice Rink
Fun, Merry and Seasonal
Overlooking the rink, and beautiful Christmas tree at Rockefeller Center, this cafe serves solid food by friendly, very attentive servers in casual digs. The star of Rock Center Cafe is it’s incredible location and wonderful view of “winter in NYC”. Watching the skaters and the tree while dining is terrific, and could bring a smile to Ebenezer Scrooge. The ambiance, while casual, is warm and the view is magical. Almost as an aside, the food has gotten much better than it was, and is now quite solid. The kale salad was very good and chicken with broccoli rabe was good. The lobster bisque was just fair, while the winter vegetable stew, burger and petite filet mignon were all quite good. The cheesecake and chocolate cake were good as well.
Everyone, and I mean everyone, who visits or resides in NY, must enjoy a festive, merry, lunch or dinner at Rock Center Cafe. You WILL leave with the Christmas spirit and a smile on your face.
Not worth it, food selection is poor and overpriced; waiting for 45 minutes to get food is not ideal and then food is tasteless.
But unfortunately we have to wait for 20 mins even we already have reservations
My Salmon dish was barely warm, but had good flavor. Our waiter was nice but very low unpleasing personality. The host however was very nice and friendly.
Excelent restaurant , food is outstanding. Will recommend to everyone
Out waiter was Adere. HE is the main reason we will definitely be back there !!!!!! The man deserves a raise .
Definitely for tourists. Highly overrated. “View” is only available within a small portion of the restaurant.
Very convenient location to Rockefeller Center / American Girl Doll. Food was good and arrived quickly, a moment after ancorrected drink order in fact. Had the skirt steak - it was delicious. Cafe is on level with ice skating rink so perfect for entertainment from most seats in restaurant although all not ideal. Service was just a touch off, no bread- brought when asked but with no butter or oil, drink order was wrong....that said she checked in often and was responsive when asked. A bit expensive but considering location to be expected
OVERALL THE EXPERIENCE WAS VERY GOOD. We will return when in NYC.
Great food, great service and of course great view. I had made a reservation but it didn’t seem like it was necessary. Will definitely dine there again.
Steak was severely undercooked and the chocolate cake did not taste right (even our kids didn’t like it)
When I visit New York City, I always eat at the Rock Center Cafe. The atmosphere is especially festive at Christmas, with the ice skaters and giant, star-topped tree. I visited with a couple for an hour or so, and when I left to go to a play, my waiter told me they had bought my dinner. Suddenly it felt like Christmas!
Wait staff and manager went beyond expectations to satisfy.
We visit Rock Center Cafe every year for a family dinner when visiting the tree. This year was probably one of the best experiences we’ve ever had. Food was great, the skirt steak was perfectly cooked, kids enjoyed their burgers and brownie sundae, and the orecchiette were great as well. Even the coffee and complimentary biscotti were just perfect. The service provided by Kamran was just perfect. We will be back!
Very poor service. Ordered 3 soups; got 2. Ordered a coffee; finally got it. Ordered a club sandwich; got a panini. Ordered pasta with butter; no parmesan (got Parmesan). My drink order was entirely wrong. Original waiter disappeared.
This was a great experience eating here the waitress
Was very friendly and the view of the ice skating rink was fantastic and the food was wonderful and the coffee was the best I Have ever tasted I even got to see
Someone propose on the ice!
I would definitely recommend this restaurant!
The prices were also very
Inexpensive considering this was Manhattan!👍👍👍
We got seated right next to a dirty dishes station and the constant clanking was very disruptive.
Salad was ok. A little soggy.
It’s a bit heavy but the people are nice and the view as well. I would eat simpler here... I had the ‘homemade orrichiette’, it was salty and heavy - couldn’t eat it all.
It’s all about the experience and view here! The food is good. Nice selections, good proportions. Our waiter was ok. Confirmed our order, what he repeated was wrong. Reconfirmed, got it right Food comes to the table, completely wrong. Had we been on a time schedule we would not have been able to wait. Fortunately, we had flexibility in our plans and we’re able to wait, enjoy another cocktail and the fabulous window view!! We had an amazing view of the Christmas tree and people ice skating. We also got to see 2 different couples get engaged!! Great experience. Definitely worth the trip and prices.
Nice meal, requested table by the window, but didn't get one, and also the waiter seemed like he was waiting for his day to finish, but good meal and nice place to eat close to the ice rink
The food was outstanding. Compliments to Chef David. So was the service, especially our waiter Christian. Thanks for a wonderful time.
What a special way to ring in the New Year! Food was wonderful, lovely service, beautiful ambiance. The short ribs and filet mignon were divine! So nice to watch the skaters and see the tree while enjoying good food and time with the family. Didn’t feel rushed or pressured. Just a perfect dinner to kick off the New Year! Will certainly return!
love the entire staff! we were right by the window and they did not allow people to come and just take photos in top of our food. Love the respect they have for their clients. Def will return!
It was New Year’s Day. I made the reservation months in advance as it was a milestone bday for my sister. I requested a table by the window to see the skating. We got a obstructed view and I was disappointed but nit as disappointed as the food was. They had prix fixe dinner and at 6 pm they were out of filet?! I had salmon instead and it was not good. My last trip to NY we went to the Sea Grill, definitely recommend that over Park Cafe.
We went for New Year's brunch. The food was great. It was lots of fun to watch all the skaters.
Not worth the money, food was ok but ambiance was bad. Whole place faintly smelled like garbage
New Year’s Eve menu only included 1 vegan appetizer and 1 vegan entree. No vegan desserts ☹️
Though we're all native New Yorkers, our family had a wonderful day seeing Manhattan as tourists while celebrating a birthday during the holidays. After seeing the wonderful Christmas show at Radio City, we had lunch at the Rock Center Café. It was an experience my parents shared with me and now as grandparents, the tradition did not disappoint. Our lovely server, Brittany, helped to make the experience special. The food was wonderful (prix fixe lunch was even reasonable for NYC) and the ambiance of the place, watching the skaters (there was even a marriage proposal on the ice rink) is legendary. A perfect way to end the year!
