Horrible experience. Everyone got their food before me. When my family was finished eating, my steak finally came out raw. Our waitress said another server "stole" it for their table. The manager made it clear that she didn't have time to deal with it or so much at apologize to us. I can't believe that a restaurant manager would be that dismissive and degrading when her restaurant made a huge mistake. She has zero business in customer service. It was beyond rude & I didn't eat dinner that night. I highly recommend dining anywhere in the city but here.

Had a reservation for over a month for this place got sat next to a wall where you cant see the view of the ice from the window as shown honestly dont see the point in making a reservation if your still gonna get stuck with the smallest table next a wall

Great for tourists and for people who will ice skate afterwards.....food was ok and service a little slow. Definitely great views of ice skating rink...that was the best part.

We were lucky to get a seat where we could see the skaters. I loved it! The service and food were good. The place is a little noisy so my 5 year old speaking loudly was not a big deal.

Last minute trip in the city to see the Rockefeller Center tree and local sights . Decided to dine at Rock Center Cafe next to the skating rink to see the people skating and the tree. We had a burger and the pasta with bolognese. Both were well prepared and tasty. Service was fantastic.

We arrived a little early. Host was so polite. He said we could wait a bit for a window so of course we did. Waitstaff so efficient and polite and food was excellent. So pleased.

Great experience for the tourist and anyone looking for that special day with the family. Very romantic, and the location is impossible to beat during the Xmas holidays.

Food is good, drinks are well made and the service is what you expect from a tourist destination. Sitting next to the rink is a view most wont soon forget.

Prix fixe menu for the holidays. Service was amazing, setting was terrific (awesome view of the skating rink and tree), food was fine, $50 for coffee (4) with the included dessert... not expected.

We visit Rock Center Cafe each year to enjoy the view. The food is just okay and the service is fairly good. It is a set menu during the holidays - we had the burger which took a very long time to arrive. Dessert was good. It's the view that makes us return each year. It is so nice to see the tree and enjoy a meal with your family during the holiday season.

$75 per plate for a salad and dessert was insulting to me and my family and $25 for a 6 year old, not including drinks. We were told at the counter that it was a price fixed meal and were asked if that was ok. We agreed because well, it was too late and they secured my card in advance.

The only reason to go there is location. Food was average at best.

We made reservations here about a week in advance for after our Rockettes show between Xmas and New Years. It was one of the only local spots to have a reservation at the time we wanted near the Radio City Music Hall.

When we arrived we were notified they had a mandatory Prix Fixe menu which was 25$ for children and 75$ for an Adult. When we made the reservations there was no notification of this requirement at all. I can only assume they are doing this for the holiday season and it is not normally prix fixe.

Besides it being NYC and being in Rockefeller Center these prices were quite high. I would have preferred paying the same price / more at a high end steak house. However it was too late to change our plans.

So we ordered my daughter a 25$ plate of grilled cheese and fries and two scoops of ice cream.

I ordered the short rib and my wife got the shrimp pasta dish. We both got the lobster bisque for starters. For dessert we NY cheese cake and chocolate lava cake.

The short rib was tender however it was room temperature. The pasta was not very flavorful and the chocolate lava cake was not warm and very small. The cheese cake was also small.

Overall the food was just OK and far from worth the 75$ we were forced to spend.

The ambiance was nice and had a great view of the ice rink and tree.

It’s unlike I’ll return here even with a normal menu to order from. In my opinion if you are forcing a prix fixe menu on everyone everything better be top notch and perfect. There is no room for error. Unfortunately our experience was not top notch.

We went here for lunch after seeing the Rocketttes with our two girls. We chose this place based on convenience and the location. We got there early (1pm) for our 1:30 reservation and they told us they were running 20 mins behind schedule. We were able to check in which was good because i soon found out the later you check in the longer it took to get seated. It was extremely busy and because of the cold weather I think people were staying a little longer. We were finally seated at 2pm and it was actually quite a long lunch. They had a prefix menu and the food and drinks were delicious! I think if they factored in a family of four taking 2 hours (and we did not hang around afterwards) for lunch they wouldn’t haven’t gotten so backed up. It was NYC at Christmas time on a cold day. Delays were expected but the hostess was very nice as were the servers and the food and view was terrific! Only downside was the wait.

We made reservation and requested a good view of the ice skating rink. Our table was far end of the restaurant with a view from far away. I was hoping to have a table next to the window with the ice skating rink view. The restaurant was super crowded. Because of the holiday, only menu available was the pre fixe holiday lunch. One appetizer, one entree and one dessert for $50. We added $5 for the shrimp cocktail which is a good choice. We picked pasta for our entree and chocolate soufflé for our dessert. Entree was good but the dessert was so so. My daughter found a hair on her soufflé after couple bites. That killed our appetite.

Holiday lunch menu offered multiple choices to accommodate many tastes and diets, including vegetarian. Service was attentive and friendly, and all items were prepared as requested. We were not rushed, despite the restaurant being quite crowded. Reservations during holiday season are a must. Will definitely visit again next year for holiday lunch and outstanding view of the skating rink. Thank you for a wonderful afternoon.

Christmas Day meal was very expensive and had to pay extra for veg. Despite being booked in we had to wait quite a while for a table. Staff were not too friendly especially at bar while waiting for a table. Tip expected at 20% despite not really wanting to give this as service could have been better.

Xmas day, very good day, and great atmosphere.
Booked 4mths ahead and glad we did as only accept reservations on the day. They were running 30 mins late but gave us a $62 bottle of wine for free and a $15 table share. Was a price fix menu $99 a head and $25 dollars for children. Expensive but was Xmas day in the middle of New York so couldn't grumble, and the food was really well done.

Staff were attentive and although extremely busy and lots of people waiting all the time, the front of house and organisation was really good. And people kept going through and we were not rushed or hurried for our table, and had as much time as we needed.

Setting was great overlooking the ice rink, and went up the rockerfella tower after to see NYC at night. Book a time slot though a few days before.

A special mention to our waiter Alex who was really good and fun and engaging.

Would definitely recommend it.

So we booked this over a week ahead of Christmas day as we had a connecting flight on our way to Russia.
They made us wait there for over an hour in the lounge only to stick us behind a pillar to completely block the view of the ice rink when there was 2 window seats open at that time. And then said they couldn't just do an entree that we had to get the whole meal even thou we had 30 minutes left to get to the airport. That we would have to go to the lounge to get just the entree where they had us originally waiting for an hour. Walked out of there as ive never had this obscene treatment especially booking a reservation over a week in advanced. Never would I recommend this place.

We booked Christmas Day months in advance. We waited 45 minutes for a table... why did we book? Not quite sure.
A simple sign out the front saying ‘full-reservations only’ would have freed up staff to help with the crowds who had booked. As it was staff spent hours turning hopefuls who had not booked away... and I would suggest this is a normal state of affairs over the holiday season.
Having said that our waiter more than made up for it with prompt and efficient and friendly service.
Food was adequate but perhaps for the price not quite the value equation one would have hoped for.
Christmas Day not ruined-but only just!
