Love the Rock - I bring my mom here every time she visits NYC!
Always enjoy dining at this somewhat casual restaurant. It definitely is good for the Rockefeller Center area and Radio City Music Hall. We dined on a Thursday night and it was fairly quiet but the bar was very busy. Food was delicious and our service excellent. Always come back when I am in midtown.
Great service and food. The view over the rink is nice when skating is in session.
The restaurant is dark and dated and would probably deter you from staying at first glance. So there is work to do regarding the decor! But the food and service was outstanding making up for everything!
I met my niece,who was visiting from Oregon, for lunch. We had a table by the window so that she could watch the ice skaters. She had the penne villa with shrimp and I had the chicken Caesar. We both enjoyed our meals.
The waiter was very cordial and inquired about our meals. It was a very enjoyable time.
Breakfast with out of town friends. Perfect setting, quiet, tables not on top of each other, service very attentative, Food quality and selection upper level. Price above moderate but then it is in the center of Manhattan and panoramic view of Rock Center ice rink. Worth the price for that location, quality food, view, quiet place to talk.
The view is amazing, with the iconic Rockefeller rink through the glass window.
We were on a history tour of NY from Washington State with friends from Italy and we ate at many nice restaurants during our visit. When we arrived at the Rock Center Cafe we were greeted by Jasmine (sp) who applied our reservations for 5 as a special invitation to sit right in the middle of the viewing glass for the ice skating rink. It was such a nice way to spend a couple of hours with friends, watching the families and friends enjoying the ice. The food was lovely and the staff was flexible with our orders and our long-winded conversation. We especially liked our waiter from Brooklyn. We were so transfixed by his accent and his manner that I never caught his name! Again Jasmine saved the night by pointing us not only in the right direction to get to dinner but then the right path for getting to the Top of the Rock. Wonderful food, service, and atmosphere!

We had a late brunch Easter Sunday after walking in the 5th Avenue Easter Parade. What a perfect ending to a fabulous day! The ambiance in Rock Center Cafe is calming, but bright. Our table was next to the window and we were constantly entertained by the skaters, good and bad. The experience was uplifting and positive from the moment we walked in. Our server was attentive and handled our needs (6 needy people) with calm and humor. The price fix menu was creative and diverse. The price, for New York, was affordable. All in all, a wonderful experience!
Food was disappointing, service very slow, dessert was lack luster. Took the family for Easter brunch and was not impressed.

We had reservations, but arrived 30 minutes early and were seated immediately. Our waiter, Adair, was friendly, charming, and attentive. Food was excellent (we had steak & eggs for brunch). Although this was Easter and the restaurant crowded, we were never rushed. This restaurant is an icon, and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there.
Service was a little lacking. It was Easter brunch and busy, but our waiter didn’t get 3 out of 4 appetizers right even though he wrote down our orders.

We were warmly greeted and taken to our table, where we had a nice view of the ice rink.
Even though it was busy, were not rushed. The prices are on the high side, which one should expect at Rockerfeller Center. My wife had the grilled chicken wrap and I had the burger. We shared the chocolate flourless cake which was excellent.
Most likely will be back when they open up the out door cafe.
We chose this restaurant because they have a kid’s menu (hard to find in nyc!) It was a really great choice - the food was good and loved to setting - long wall of glass windows that look right into the skating rink at Rock Center. Would be cute for a casual date or business, as well as families.

I love this restaurant. We try to make it there at least once when we are in the city. Breakfast is amazing, highly recommend the French toast.
This was the best food my daughter and I had while in NYC! The service was fantastic, prices were very reasonable, the staff were extremely personable and remembered us the SECOND NIGHT...yes, it was so good we ate there twice! I had the vegetable tart...which sounds not good, but was AMAZING! Grilled vegetables in a pastry tart with humus—served hot with a delicious side salad. Lemon tart we split for dessert was my daughter’s favorite thing all week in NYC! The best part about this restaurant is that it was in a fantastic location at the bottom of the Rockefeller Center and we were able to get reservations BOTH NIGHTS, with no waiting. We sat by the window and watched the ice skating outside. This was entertaining to say the least...there were some very GOOD skaters....and some very BAD skaters (this was hilarious)!
Was here with my daughter for Brunch - great location (not easiest to find - take a lift from the street) looking over the ice-skating rink. Staff were friendly and place had a relaxed atmosphere but we had to wait and watch several tables seated after us get their food first? Food was good, prices about whst you’d expect given it’s location. I’d go again.
Excellent brunch overlooking Rockefeller Center ice rink - food and service both excellent - and with brunch, a show as mostly amateur skaters attempt their Olympic debut.
My girlfriend and I were celebrating our one year anniversary and the Rock Center Cafe held this perfect evening for this occasion! The food was very good, although we wished some things could of been better. The best part is watching the skaters and enjoying the coziness of the atmosphere! Can’t wait to go back!
I decided to go to the Rock Center Cafe because I received a birthday certificate from the Patina Restaurant Group and thought it would be fun to have brunch looking out on the Rockefeller Center ice skating rink. I was pleasantly surprised that the food was better than I expected and the cocktails were excellent. There are limited choices for vegetarians and since I did not want an egg white only omelette, I opted for the falafel burger, which was quite nice. It comes with house-made potato chips and I should have asked for some other potato choice. My dining companions seemed to enjoy their choice, although the potatoes that came with the Eggs Benedict were dry. The issue was service. There was a good deal of waiting time for our waiter to take our order and we were not able to get his attention when needed. Of course, this also meant we were left alone to linger after our meal. Also, when our dishes came, one was incorrect, so this meant not quite eating together. Note that the prices are a bit on the high side for brunch. Despite these shortcomings, I would recommend the cafe given the location.

The views of the rink were great! The food was very good. I felt it was overpriced, but not unreasonable for NYC.
We had a very nice brunch here. It’s neat to be able to watch the ice rink as you eat. Waitress was very attentive. Eggs Benedict were very good. Coffee was good.
We all loved our lunch and thoroughly enjoyed watching the skaters whizzing and stumbling by as we ate. The staff was very accommodating and the food was delicious.
We had the “Sunday Dinner” which was really tasty - my date and I shared two awesome appetizers - the eggplant was delish! Then the main course was a roasted chicken and pasta bolognese that was worth the extra wait followed by a delectable tiramisu and cannoli combo desert and all for $29/pp - so worth it. Wait staff were courteous and attentive. We got lucky enough to get seated near the glass with a clear view of the rink. Overall a great night!
Food was good. Service was not. Waitress was nice but not attentive. When asked @ fish special she said... bass. Did not explain how it was prepared. Needed plates for sharing appetizers and desserts and had to take off of unoccupied tables each time cause we couldn’t find her. Two waiters behind us were arguing @ their table assignments. It was very nice watching the skaters but wouldn’t come back anytime soon.
While the food and ambiance was good overall, the service was horribly slow.
