Rock Bottom Brewery Restaurant - Nashville Ratings and Reviews
We were in Nashville for business. Stopped by on a Thursday evening. It was cold so downtown was relatively dead. Had jambalaya and chicken tostadas; both were very good. The waiter was especially welcoming. He stood and talked with us for quite a while and answered all of our questions about whiskey, Nashville, and other things. Truly enjoyed the restaurant and the hospitality.
Steaks and beer/drinks were great!
Some older folks headed to the Opy were wanting sweet tea, not on menu. Also the restaurant only had blue sweetener, not yellow. Folks were a bit bummed.
After a few minutes I saw their hipster waiter with a container of sugar coming from the kitchen.
Waiter hand made them a batch of sweet tea while super busy. Thought that showed a great level of customer service.
Our family was in Nashville for the Christmas Eve Titans game and needed a dinner spot that was kid-friendly yet a new experience for them. Rock Bottom was perfect! Our booth faced Nissan Stadium, the food was great (highly recommend the shrimp and grits and the 2am burger!). We made reservations but there did not seem to be a wait when we arrived. Great experience! Will gladly visit again next time we are in Nashville.
Stopped in for a bite before the Garth Brooks concert. Love the "healthy-ish" smoked chicken tostados, which are more flavorful and filling than other "healthy" options I've tried. A safe bet before a concert, but reservations on the weekend are definitely recommended.
The food was great and very inexpensive - the martini was good too! Drawbacks - the floor had lots of trash (strawpapers, old french fries.) The stickers on the table advertising beer tastings on Tuesday were coming up and were sticky and unappetizing to have on a table where you were eating.
We had a wonderful dining experience. My husband had the quesadilla and I was very bummed when I learned they were out of shrimp tacos .... next time. I did enjoy the nachos. Our server recommended a half portion and boy was I happy. The half portion was perfect. I saw the full portion being delivered to tables and definitely is a size for more than one person. Will have the shrimp tacos when we're back in town.
This place was awful. The reviews were marginal but we tried it anyway due to the location. It was after a Titans football game and the place was a wreck. The bathrooms were filthy. The staff was frazzled and inattentive. The food was bad. Stay away from this place!
I was very pleased with this restaurant as it was a short walk down Broadway to a concert at Birdgestone Arena. With the Titans in town on this particular day, I was glad to have made a reservation as the wait for walk-ups was approaching 1 hour when we arrived. We were seated quickly upon our arrival.
The service was very good, as was the environment.
The only thing that I would dock is the serving size. I had a hamburger and onion rings, and there were only 4 onion rings with the meal(which I paid extra for since it was a premium side). A very small complaint though, as the food was very good.
Great food! Unfortunately, the staff was rude instantly from the moment we walked in and made this a less than pleasant overall experience for our group. The hostess appeared bothered by us showing up for our reservation. She was clearly uninterested in assisting us. Once seated, our waitress was extremely rude. Her service was timely but her presence was aggressive and highly unpleasant. She never spoke a pleasantry or cracked a smile. Upon leaving the restaurant we were "greeted" in the restroom by a pushy bathroom host and a lack of supplies. It's a restaurant - not a bar, a bathroom host at 9pm is an inconvenience to guests and an unnecessary addition to the evening.
In summary: good food, but don't expect much else
After a considerable wait , our nachos and bowl of soup were served to us cold. The cheese on the nachos was congealed. We asked to just pay for our drinks and leave. The server and manger both were extremely kind. Offered us apologies and comped everything. Straight up class. Might have been just an off night.
Food was pretty much inedible. We sent our Pretzel Crusted Chicken back, which was burnt breaded chicken with broken Pretzels sprinkled on top (see photo). The Chicken was stringy, think rubber band. So we thought maybe it was cooked then frozen, then thawed and served. No discount was given, we even ordered an app after sending the chicken back because we hadn't eaten anything. The service was slow and inattentive, a real lack of awareness to our needs not to mention our wants.
Never saw management and received a feeling that it was our fault we didn't like the chicken from the waitress... I guess this is a norm for their quality of food. 5 star restaurant prices with a drive thru McDonald's product.
