Rock Bottom Brewery Restaurant - Minneapolis Ratings and Reviews
First time ever, we had to wait. Have been coming to this place for some time, and always great service. Server was very nice. However, it seemed he was either swamped or not efficient. Had dirty dishes sitting at the table for some time. Needed to stop him to place beer order. It seemed that he had lots of tables, and no support to clear off the tables.
Our server wasn’t attentive. We had to find her to get our bill even though we’d said we had to get to a show.
The food was sub par, seemed microwaved and cooled back off. Mashed potatoes were almost non existent as was the seafood in the seafood enchiladas.
I’ve had good experiences there in the past, such a disappointment this time.
Rock Bottom Brewery in Minneapolis never disappoints from a food standpoint. The quality and value is always great. The service was particularly bad this evening, as they were very busy with multiple theatre shows in the area. Our group of 10 got food one or two at a time, and it was about 15 minutes between the first and last plates being served.
Restaurant is fine, average food. We choose it because it's close to the theater we go to regularly. Was disappointed to be put in a back table area next to the coat rack. Makes me think opentable reservations are not preferred. Waiter was fine, forgot part of my order.
Service was very slow even though we informed our server that we were headed to the theatre. It took a good amount of time for the server to come greet us after being seated. We were ready to order before she showed up the first time. Had to almost hunt her down to get a drink refill. I'll be thinking twice before I choose to return. Food was tasty though.
We were there for a reservation before a show at the Orpheum. Offers a variety of menu and drink options. Only hiccup is we had a $10 coupon after spending $35. When the manager took the coupon, she split the bill (making both bills less than $35), kept the coupon and dropped the bills at our table without saying anything. Luckily we looked before paying and talked to our server about getting it corrected, which she did. But, we weren't impressed that the person described as a manager by our server would do that and apparently hope we wouldn't notice.
My husband and I had a reservation for 7:30pm on a Saturday, but after being seated it was clear that no reservation was necessary. We were barely greeted by our server -- he offered us water and never introduced himself. He brought our waters, I ordered a flight of beer and then didn't see him again for probably 10 minutes. We ordered an appetizer and he again disappeared. He never asked us if we were ready to order our meal, but instead came over and said something like "you guys okay?" It was strange. We ordered the meal and were offered minimal service after that. No refills or anything. I would have been upset if we had been in a hurry. Food was good but not worth it for the lack of service. The beer tasted unusually flat -- especially since they brew it onsite!
Rock Bottom was recommended to me by a friend. Went to dinner with my husband and 4 kids last night before we saw the “Aladdin” show. We had reservations for two hours before the show, because we knew we didn’t want to cut it close. Right off the bat, I knew our waitress was going to be a dud. We got sat with our menus, and it took 10 minutes for the waitress to come over, greet us, and take our drink order. We decided what we wanted to eat, but it took another 10 minutes for our waitress to come back with our drinks. We watched as other tables got food and drinks and their checks, and we waited and waited. It isn’t a staffing issue; the other servers were fast- it was just ours. Once our meals arrived, it was really good. But my husband never got asked if he wanted another beer, I never got a refill on my iced tea. Once the waitress cleared our dishes, we waited almost 15 minutes for her to come back with our check. This restaurant relies on convenience for business, but certainly provides no service. What a HUGE disappointment!
We were going to a show, so naturally worried about time. We got our food very quickly - and we were done in an amazing 30 min. Unfortunately, then we waited another 30 min to pay and get out. We were fine on time but we wanted to hit up another joint before the show for a change of scenery. We didn't even see our waiter in those last 30 min to ask for our check. But all in all, it's not a bad place to go. Food is okay, but nothing special. Great location though!
The food is average.
Had the Cajun pasta and a bacon cheeseburger this time. The Cajun pasta was OK the burger was good.
You pay more for the location due to proximity to theaters. It's crazy busy on show nights but the staff handles it well.
RB could do a lot better with their menu. The food is pretty average and the price is about 20% high.
We stopped in before Aladdin and told our server we needed to order right away. Needless to say, we had only 5-7 minutes to eat before we needed to leave for the performance. My son got the steak off the kids menu and it was terrible food quality. Not sure I'll go back. :(
I was there with my grandson before Aladdin at Orpheum. There was a special event in bar, and it was SO noisy in the dining area! Our server had too many tables so service was slow. He apologized but not his fault. Food was good but didn't make up for the noise and slow service.
