Rock Bottom Brewery Restaurant - Minneapolis Ratings and Reviews
Our food was wonderful. It took awhile for us to get our bar beverages.
Artichoke appetizer was delicious!! The Black and Bleu burger, Lobster enchiladas, Mango chicken and Mac and Cheese were all a hit with our group. We had to end on the carrot cake and the chocolate mousse pie, both were so good we didn't have leftovers like we planned!!
Country Fried Chicken w/gravy mashed potatoes is awesome! My son ate every bite of the sirloin. Beer is great tried an ale & malt- both very good. Had plenty of time for early dinner before SPCO at the Basilica of Saint Mary. Called for reservations on Thursday was told fully booked up no seats for Friday night. Went online & made a reservation on thier website for same night, no problem at the door when we arrived- so don’t understand why they turned me away when I called 12/14
The waitress was slow and apathetic. The vegetable side dish was mushy and lukewarm at best. The dipping side sauce had a dried over crust on it like it had been sitting out under a warming lamp. Taste was bland. Another person at my table had onion rings that were good.
First time ever, we had to wait. Have been coming to this place for some time, and always great service. Server was very nice. However, it seemed he was either swamped or not efficient. Had dirty dishes sitting at the table for some time. Needed to stop him to place beer order. It seemed that he had lots of tables, and no support to clear off the tables.
Our server wasn’t attentive. We had to find her to get our bill even though we’d said we had to get to a show.
The food was sub par, seemed microwaved and cooled back off. Mashed potatoes were almost non existent as was the seafood in the seafood enchiladas.
I’ve had good experiences there in the past, such a disappointment this time.
Rock Bottom Brewery in Minneapolis never disappoints from a food standpoint. The quality and value is always great. The service was particularly bad this evening, as they were very busy with multiple theatre shows in the area. Our group of 10 got food one or two at a time, and it was about 15 minutes between the first and last plates being served.
Restaurant is fine, average food. We choose it because it's close to the theater we go to regularly. Was disappointed to be put in a back table area next to the coat rack. Makes me think opentable reservations are not preferred. Waiter was fine, forgot part of my order.
Service was very slow even though we informed our server that we were headed to the theatre. It took a good amount of time for the server to come greet us after being seated. We were ready to order before she showed up the first time. Had to almost hunt her down to get a drink refill. I'll be thinking twice before I choose to return. Food was tasty though.
We were there for a reservation before a show at the Orpheum. Offers a variety of menu and drink options. Only hiccup is we had a $10 coupon after spending $35. When the manager took the coupon, she split the bill (making both bills less than $35), kept the coupon and dropped the bills at our table without saying anything. Luckily we looked before paying and talked to our server about getting it corrected, which she did. But, we weren't impressed that the person described as a manager by our server would do that and apparently hope we wouldn't notice.
My husband and I had a reservation for 7:30pm on a Saturday, but after being seated it was clear that no reservation was necessary. We were barely greeted by our server -- he offered us water and never introduced himself. He brought our waters, I ordered a flight of beer and then didn't see him again for probably 10 minutes. We ordered an appetizer and he again disappeared. He never asked us if we were ready to order our meal, but instead came over and said something like "you guys okay?" It was strange. We ordered the meal and were offered minimal service after that. No refills or anything. I would have been upset if we had been in a hurry. Food was good but not worth it for the lack of service. The beer tasted unusually flat -- especially since they brew it onsite!
