Rock Bottom Brewery Restaurant - Minneapolis Ratings and Reviews
Always a good experience dinning in here. My friends drove 5 hours to spend the evening with me and I recommended rock bottom. We spent time laughing eating apps and drinking cocktails. Although it was busy you managed to get us in even earlier than our reservation time. And our food/drink was never longer then 10 minutes. Another one for the books. Until next time keep doin what ya guys do! Because you're defiently doing it right.
We are regulars at Rock Bottom. The beer is terrific and we love the staff. All are super friendly and great at their jobs. This was my first time trying the Chicken Fried Chicken. Wow, what a tasty, comfort food dish! It's a good sized serving so you could probably take some home with you. My husband decided to eat his burger and then took over my plate. It was that good.
I have been coming to Rock Bottom for 7 years and I was so shocked at the service I received. I give my daughter a birthday party there every year for the last 5 years. I spend over 200 each year for these birthday parties and this time was terrible. The service was terrible. The waitress was not professional at all. I had to ask for some tea 5 times and then she never come back to table to see if we needed anything, she was just terrible. She would not take the time to see what we actually wanted, shoot it took 20 minutes after we sat down for her to come to tablea to give us water. I'm planning a Graduation party for my daughter for June 7th but now I'm not sure if I want to have it at Rock Bottom. I will be spending over 800 dollars and I want A class service.
We had 12:00 reservations before our tickets to a 2:00 show. We waited for well over an hour and never got our food. Our waiter only stopped by our table once in that time to fill waters, but didn’t mention anything about the wait. We had to search him out two additional times to check on the progress. Ended up leaving so we could grab something quickly at the coffee shop to eat before the show started. This was our first experience at Rock Bottom and we were incredibly disappointed. We won’t be returning.
Food was pretty good. Service was poor. The waiter was very involved with pleasing a table of women and forgot to even put our appetizer order in. He ended up comping it and bringing it out after the entrees, but it was still frustrating. A large piece of what looked like onion was stuck to the inside of my water glass and my wife’s glass of wine had a fruit fly in it. We’ve been here numerous times and usually don’t have an issue. The experience wasn’t bad enough that we’d never come back but we might try out another restaurant as a pre-Orpheum dinner destination.
The brews were fantastic! I like the pale ales, and my spouse prefers beer he can chew (my words, not his). Both of us found brews we liked. We'll be back for more pretzel chicken. The only downside was the veggies were cooked to mush and were not appetizing, and the server was ok but not interactive. The online reservation was so easy, and we were seated right away. This was a great start to a wonderful night.
Was going to dinner and a show to celebrate my daughters 12 th birthday. Had reservations to allow plenty of time before the show. Our waiter forgot to put our order in. After asking, order was put in and we got our food with only 10 Min to eat and get to the show. Totally put a damper on our special night. Saving grace, the food was excellent and the meal was comped.
I've eaten here many times for lunch during the week. I've had their Jambalaya at least a half dozen times, it's my favorite thing on their menu. It has just the right amount of spice without being over powering. Their pizzas are very good too, they're large enough for two light eaters or one big eater. Their burgers are just ok, they're not really different than any other burger you'd get anywhere else. The only menu item I'd recommend against is their wings, the handful of times I've had them they haven't been very crisp which is how I expect wings to be served. If you're a beer drinker their in store brewed beer is very good and comes in a wide variety of options.
Our food was wonderful. It took awhile for us to get our bar beverages.
Artichoke appetizer was delicious!! The Black and Bleu burger, Lobster enchiladas, Mango chicken and Mac and Cheese were all a hit with our group. We had to end on the carrot cake and the chocolate mousse pie, both were so good we didn't have leftovers like we planned!!
We have eaten at the Rock Bottom Brewery many times. As well as many other restaurants. I made reservations. When we checked in the hostess told us "just so we knew they were booked so we needed to be ready to vacate our table within 11/2 hours" I understand being busy, but I can honestly say I have never had a hostess tell us that when we checked in. Our waiter, was very good about not pushing and telling us to take our time and enjoy. Just interesting...
Country Fried Chicken w/gravy mashed potatoes is awesome! My son ate every bite of the sirloin. Beer is great tried an ale & malt- both very good. Had plenty of time for early dinner before SPCO at the Basilica of Saint Mary. Called for reservations on Thursday was told fully booked up no seats for Friday night. Went online & made a reservation on thier website for same night, no problem at the door when we arrived- so don’t understand why they turned me away when I called 12/14
The waitress was slow and apathetic. The vegetable side dish was mushy and lukewarm at best. The dipping side sauce had a dried over crust on it like it had been sitting out under a warming lamp. Taste was bland. Another person at my table had onion rings that were good.
