Got a table in the back room. Loud group of 30 girls by us. Good food. Friendly waiter.
Nice service and good food. Great beer selections and reasonable prices.
The food was fine. The bacon jalapeño poppers were disappointing. They were breaded and contained only a slice of jalapeño. Something I'd expect at a rural bar, but not a downtown Brewhouse. My date's dinner order was entered wrong, but our server quickly rectified the error and we were very pleased with how the mistake was handled. The Cajun fish tacos were good. My jambalaya was very good and flavorful, but was lukewarm rather than hot. Our beers were great! The location is convenient to our usual theater destination, so it's likely we'll be back. If you're in the area, this is a decent place to go, but not a place that will be unforgettable.
We had great food but it took a little over an hour to get food so we were a little late for our concert at Target Center. Either the server had too many tables or the kitchen was slow
Always great food!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We love the food and our server is awesome! But we are learning they cannot handle the pre-show theater rush. This is the second time in a row that it has been a scramble to get our food in time for the show (even though the restaurant didn't seem busy and we allotted more than 2 hours to eat brunch/lunch). Our server did everything to keep us happy while we waited for our food, but the kitchen needs to figure this out.
We have been to Rock Bottom before, usually at an off time, but we went right at the dinner rush tonight, and it was a mess. The service was really lacking, and everyone seemed frazzled. Our waiter mentioned several times how busy and understaffed they were.
We were taken to a table then moved because the host didn't know which table he was supposed to take us to. We weren't even seated when our waiter asked for our drink orders. He brought me a sample of the Skol Amber which was good, so I ordered a pint which never came. My husband got their stout which he really enjoyed. Even though my pint never came, we were billed for it. They took it off the bill after we pointed it out. We weren't given water, either, until we asked.
We ordered the fried pickles as an app which came after the entrees and at room temperature. The dipping sauces with the fried pickles were very good! My husband got the 2 AM Burger and I got the wedge salad. Both were good, not great.
The beer and food was good but not worth the poor service.
Great food! Fun place to meet downtown.
We always go to Rock Bottom before attending plays at the Orpheum Theatre.
Food is great, service is excellent and it’s a quick walk across the street to get to the theatre.
Excellent meal and amazing service! The server was top notch and went out of her way to make our meal lovely. Was an awesome dinner!
Service was terrible and the restaurant was empty. Took us forever to get food and our server acted like we were inconveniencing him.
Great nachos and beer!
Excellent food and prompt service
We had the Cajun fish tacos. They were very good. The dining room was spacious. The bar is very crowded.
We have gone to the restaurant many times. I had made the reservations 8 days ahead of time.
We were seated in a corner of the banquet area. When we asked to move to one of the tables or booths in the main restaurant, which the majority of were empty, we were told they had been reserved. We watched several other diners asking to be moved and they were moved! We did end up having an very attentive waitress but it still left us unimpressed. We will rethink our choice of where to dine in the future.
Food was really good and out to us fast. The server was overwhelmed being his 4th day and we would normally sympathize with that but he was unapologetic and didn't seem to care
I eat her often when attending the Orpheum, so I know it can be good, however, on this occasion, waitress was very nice, but wasn't too great at checking back in with us.
Went before the theatre, and it was a great food selection. Really enjoyed it.
Thoroughly enjoyed the beer menu and our food was quite tasty. Only issue is that our appetizer ended up coming our a few minutes AFTER our main dishes. We sent it back.
Jake was an awesome waiter. One of the best we’ve had.
Attended a show at the state theatre, had made reservations, so glad we did! Walked in, seated immediately, fast friendly service. Hot good eats, cold great brews. Always a fun place to visit. Consistently a great value , food and fun!
The jalapeño pretzels were different from before where they more resembled bread sticks. The crab dip wasn’t hot like in thebpast
Very satisfied! Food was fantastic. We were very please.
We are Rock Bottom regulars. This time we sat in the dining room right by the window. So not only did we have terrific food and beer, we got to people watch the whole time.
My husband and I have dined here several times, now. Last time was busier than other nights, and I think our server was just trying to keep up. She came to our table a few times to take orders, etc., but obviously in a hurry. When she brought our food, she plopped it on our table without a word. Also, our table was near the order pick-up, which was not conducive to a quiet conversation, nor appetizing, to look at all the spilled food in the floor. Usually our experience there is much better.
We like this restaurant and have always had good experiences in the past. Although last Friday was not our best experience (food slow to come out, food was not ready all at the same time, some food was just warm), everyone can have an off night and we will likely dine there again.
We went to Rock Bottom for drinks and appetizers before a theater show. We had reservations for 6:00 pm with the show at 7:30. We notified our server that we had plans to go to the show at 7:30. We ordered nachos and wings within minutes of sitting down but did not get our food until after 7:00. We followed up with the waiter several times about our need to get to the show by 7:30, and his response was that he would check for our food. It was very frustrating, particularly while we watched other diners come and go while we waited for our food.
Excellent wait staff that worked together. We ran out of ketchup at our table and a second waitress noticed while passing by. Without us asking, our waiter showed up in less than 30 seconds with a new bottle. Food was great and flavorful - I had the 2AM burger cooked perfectly. The family also had a grilled chicken salad and a bacon burger. Everything was to order and quick.
very good waiter!!
we like the location next to the orpheum
It's been a year since our last visit that was also just ok. The service was not the best and the cleanliness was something to be desired. I enjoy a smiling staff and a clean non sticky table. Possibly needs a quick makeover to rejuvinate the ambiance and pep the place up a bit more. The food was good, but nothing special. It was a week night and it was busy- so they are doing something right!
Food was excellent. We appreciated the free appetizer given with our theater tickets.
Good option for pre-theater dinner. Nice menu variety; something for everyone. Food was tasty. Service was good.
The food was delicious. Our waiter was very well informed about the craft brews available on site. He was able to answer complex questions that I had about different beers and ales. I'll not that we only came for appetizers and ales. Ordered the nachos and the Buffalo wings. The buffalo sauce was perfect for the average person. Not too sour and not too spicy. The nachos were more than enough for two people. They came with homemade salsa, guacamole and sour cream. Topped with melted cheeses and mixed with seasonings and other quality ingredients. We had kolsch, wheat ale and India pale ale. They were well crafted brews. Next time we have an opportunity to eat in downtown, we will definitely come back to the Rock Bottom Brewery.
It was overall pretty good however two people ordered specialty drinks that the sever came back and said they were out of so that was disappointing. The food was very good! We had burgers, shrimp and lobster enchiladas, Jambalaya, soup, tacos all were very good!
We rarely eat out so this was a great treat! The steak was tender, the service amazing, and all compliments to our meal were perfect. Topped off with cheesecake to go, we could not have asked for a better experience! Thank you.
We had a great time, good meal, great service. A good value and right next door to the venue we were attending.
Food was fine, nothing special.
The server was "inattentive" at best. Drink and food orders were incorrect, but when the wine was delivered the server's fingers were inside the glasses as they were distributed.
Reserved a table here before the Robert Plant concert. Had a great time, decent(although not unique)sports bar food, the service was good, the beer was great and the bill didn’t break the budget. Overall a good experience and we would go back when attending another event at the Orpheum Theater but wouldn’t drive downtown Minneapolis just to eat here.
Great service, great food/drinks and handsome waiter. Prompt service to get us out in time to the concert.
Nachos were probably one of the best I've ever had. Just right on all the ingredients.
