First time here, I was recommended this place by a friend. Food was great! Ambiance was classy but not too over the top which is great. The beer selection is awesome. We ordered the steak, burger and wings all 3 dishes were delicious. Not a single complaint about the restaurant.
Great service, good food, good drinks!
There are always a lot of really good options on the menu. It really helps especially when you have a lot of different people that you were trying to please. Rock-bottom seems to do a great job with everything that they do.
It was lovely our server was wonderful
We had a nice server and enjoyed the food here!
My husband and my dinner were perfect 👌- mine especially! The Cajun fish tacos 🌮 were the BEST! “Rock Bottom” is our restaurant before our 8pm shows, whether it’s at the Pabst or Riverside. Thank you!
Great ambiance and location and the food was very good! Was extremely close to our concert location and the service was wonderful! I would definitely recommend this to friends!
We had a great experience. Terrific location for dinner before going to the Pabst for a performance.
We arrived at 8:32pm for an 8:30pm reservation for 12. We had to wait 10 minutes for them to "push some tables together" for us. Not sure why wehad a reservation if they weren't prepared for us?? Our group was in town for a work event over the weekend. Our team was celebrating a successful 2017, as well as our holiday gift exchange. We were seated in a room by the river and had the room pretty much to ourselves. Food and service was good, the room however was way too warm. We had to open the side door a couple of times to cool off!
Food came out quickly, was hot and tasty. Service was great. We'll be back.
We were pleasantly surprised by the outstanding service we received for a group of 9 on a busy Wednesday night. Previous reviews made me a little nervous but it was a great choice. Julia provided great service for a group that ordered 7 different choices. We started with a order of Nachos which sere excellent. Everything was delicious. I would definitely bring a group here again.
Took my friend there for her first visit while she was in from out of town, we indulged with some great beers brewed on premises, they let us try samples to find ones that fit our tastes. We were able to choose from a great menu with tons of variety, everything sounded and looked delicious. We were very satisfied with the quantity and quality of the food. We were a smaller group and were able to be seated in a somewhat secluded nook in the back which made it very easy for us to hear each other and when we were being loud we were not disrupting too many people. We had a wonderful view of the frozen river and the snow falling outside from where we were seated and while we were somewhat particular with our orders and our manners, our waitress was good humored and had a nice attitude. She did a good job with a rambunctious table.
I used to love Rock Bottom. The service has really gone downhill. We waited almost 25 minutes for water and drinks. Some of our food was lukewarm, not really hot. This was the second time we were disappointed. Not like it used to be. Service used to be great and the food was hot and tasted great.
We order two order of fish and chip, this was my third time at the restaurant, first two times food was great this time French fries were cold, I mean cold I told the server to feel and he agreed and bought us hot 🍟, fish pieces were small than usual. Overall not s good experience this time.
Went for dinner prior to holiday concert. Seated late even though tables were open and had reservation. Ordered a martini which was only half full in martini glass. Made the mistake of ordering steak and shrimp. Shrimp never came until meal was done and steak was cooked very well done when ordered medium. My girlfriend ordered a chicken dish with vegetables which were all cold when they arrived. We had no time to send anything back so we ate what we could and left. The best part of the entire meal was salad and soup we ordered. Will never go back.
Outstanding experience. Obvious that there is an amazing event coordinator.
We've gone to Rock Bottom for NYE the last 4 years. Unfortunately we will not be returning next year. It was not very busy while we were there, yet our service was very sub par. Accuracy was good, but zero attentiveness. (I've been a server for many years, so I can appreciate nuances, but not neglect). Our order was delivered by another server, incorrect, and part of it was missing.
Parking was great and free due to the cold on New Years Eve. I would have given 5 stars for food but my mashed potatoes were served cold. Otherwise the steak was delicious and our server was great.
The light above our table 2 of the 3 lightbulbs were out, made it very dark and difficult to see the menu. It just made us feel like we were sitting in the dark. My food came out cold and our service was just ok.
Fabulous food and great service! We liked the menu. Something for everyone.
My guests and I were so disappointed. We ordered Brandy Old Fashioneds which were horrible. We sent them back and the second time one was good and other was not. We declined sending it back a second time. The appetizers were good. However we all ordered steaks and were disappointed. One of our guests ordered medium and it came well done. It was sent back and the replacement was a different type of steak than what was originally ordered. Plus it came when everyone else was done with their meals. My husband’s potatoes were cold and my own were just warm. When the waitress delivered the food she warned us the plates were hot, yet she touched them with her bare hands. We think the food was sitting under a heating lamp for awhile. The waitress apologized and said not all the kitchen crew showed up for work. I felt like we went to Applebye’s but spent $100 more in the food.
This was the perfect place to grab food before the concert at the Riverside. Glad we made reservations, as this place can get pretty busy. Excellent service and great food! No complaints here! We will definitely be back the next time we are in the area.
Unfortunately I had a hair in my salad. The Manager did remove the charge for the salad and one beer from my bill.
Always enjoy this place! After many business lunches, brought my kids for dinner after seeing Christmas decorations Downtown. Quick seating. Great food. Carrot cake could have been dinner. Fed all 6 of us. Thank you!
Food is good but the beer is excellent.
Close to theatre venues. Food was good - something for everyone - adults and kids. Waitress very attentive and personable. Overall a very pleasant experience.
Ashley, our server was fantastic. One of the drinks ordered was not good and she cheerfully replaced it with another. She was right there to answer questions or refill our water without being a bother. Food was great- a great choice before walking over to the Riverside for a show.
We've been to Rock Bottom several times. On this occasion, it was an unusually quiet and sedate Sunday afternoon before the theater, which differed greatly from our other visits when it was crowded and lively. The one constant through all of our meals there has been the tasty and well-executed comfort food. The portions are quite generous, the food is generally well seasoned, and the proteins are cooked properly. My wife, an admitted finicky eater, had the pretzel-crusted chicken with cheddar mashed potatoes and green beans, and finished everything but half of the large portion of green beans. I thought the beans were 60-90 seconds short of any al dente, but this may be more indicative of my personal preference than anything else. I had the bacon cheddar burger with onion rings. The burger was cooked perfectly (medium) and the jalapeno ranch sauce served on the side was especially good as a dipping sauce for the onion rings. Our waiter, Wyatt, was very pleasant and attentive without hovering, and refilled beverages without prompts. I did not have of their beer on this visit, but I can state with confidence from previous visits that they have something for every beer lover and I have not yet had one I did not enjoy.
Rock Bottom is not fine dining in an ostentatious setting nor is it intended to be, but it is one of the better brewery/restaurants in this crowded niche. It also is reasonably priced (our bill came to $32). We'll definitely be back.
We took two teenage vegetarians and they both had few choices and settled upon the mac n cheese. They liked the mac n cheese, but I would have liked for there to be a few more healthy options for them. I had the pulled chicken tacos, and they were really yummy. We told the server we needed to get to a show, so he sped things up without making us feel rushed. I am glad we chose Rock Bottom for our pre-theater dinner.
