Excellent food/beverages. Friendly staff. Comfortable pub-like atmosphere.
Food and service were fine. Great deal before DCPA performance, a free beer and reduced parking!
Birthday celebration got Tom
Food was tasty, wait staff pleasant, nice value. Great location close to the DCPA on 16th street mall.
One of our favorite places. The tacos are awesome and they had the beers we ordered first try! Love it!
We chose Rock Bottom for its partnership with DCPA . Easy walking distance to Buell. Service was great . Had an entree salad and fish and chips. Don't recommend the firecracker shrimp app.
There was no need for a reservation because the place was almost empty. Should have left when we noticed that.
Our waiter was fast with the drinks at first but then he seemed to disappear when ever you wanted something else.
Waited too long for our 2nd drink and we decided to eat just appetizers they were awful.
We ate some and then asked for the check. Again our waiter disappeared. Took to long to get the check. Never going there again.
I have dinner there before going to the theatre. LOVE that parking is validated. Usually request to be seated in Leif's station. He is always friendly, knows the menu and good with suggestions. If I am running a little late he has always made sure our meals arrive quick.
My wife and I each had fish & chips, but they were way, way too salty. I don't know why the fish was so salty. I've eaten at Rock Bottom many times in the past and always enjoyed it. But that was so bad I'll probably never go back.
We had a team dinner on St Patty’s day... the host went out of their way to be welcoming and accommodating. Service was quick and organized for our party of 28.. and the food came out together with no mistakes. Some plates were not hot but overall for a large party we were happy
Everything was as we like. We got good food and good service. Thank yoi
The beer here is always great! That being said, I was disappointed in the quality of the food. We paid for nachos with chicken and guac, and the amount of chicken and guac was rediculously small. They have changed their sauces and fries over the years as well, and that was also disappointing. They used to have the best skinny fries, and their bbq sauce was great. Now it seems they are becoming just a "me too" place to eat vs. the great Rock Bottom that it was originally. If you are going for good beer, have fun. If you are looking for good food that is different than Red Robin, CB Potts, etc,...then go somewhere else.
The service was lackluster, as our server seemed too busy to keep track of us. We asked for water when we ordered drinks, but didn’t get it until we asked again. After our food came. Food was surprisingly bland, with hot foods merely warm. I hope they were just having an overly busy night.
Food was good, service was acceptable. We requested a booth in back but they over sat the area.
Went before the play Hamilton, and the fish & chips were good. (Lenten meal.)
The Open Table actually failed at my end. The restaurant did not appear to have the reservatiom.
But, appeared within your system. I received a seat since the restaurant was not full.
I secured my reservation through Open Table. Our table for 4 was waiting for us when we got there. All was served quickly as we have reservations at the Comedy Club at 7:30. Perfect place for a casual, inexpensive meal.
An excellent choice for dining before going to the DCPA.
Had very good food. Fantastic service and a great time!
Great place, service and food. Chicken tortilla soup was outstanding!
Love this place! Great food and beer! Never disappointed!
Coworker got a drink dumped on him by the server… Which happens from time to time… However no comps were given or even a sorry from management…
Pre show - we had the bar menu items, wine & beer.
We’ll return soon!!
We had a very nice lunch. We had one person on the Whole 30 eating style and they had no problems accommodating for her. Nice environment to have a business lunch.
The service was good, but the food was so so. My husband had the Chicken and Bacon Macaroni and Cheese. There was more pasta than chicken or bacon. I had the lobster and shrimp enchilada. It tasted good, but there was hardly any lobster or shrimp in it.
Delicious food and great service. I like the beers and the food is really good as well.
The restaurant at this location seemed dirty and the food was not as good as it used to be.
New Year's Eve is a busy night, but we used open table which was awesome. Our server was fun and amazing . All of our drinks and food was excellent . My daughter had the steak which was prepared just the way she liked! Roasted veggies could use some help
The lunch specials are a fantastic value and the food was really good.
We want after a play. We had a reservation and were seated fairly quickly, considering how busy they were. A manager took our order because there were many large groups and the place was packed. We appreciated all the staff chipping in to get us served in a timely manner. The food was well prepared and hot when served. All in all a great experience.
I as very impressed with the reservation we made, we were running late and they saved our table and quickly sat us once we got there. This was a busy night and they easily could have given our table away. However, they called us to confirm we were coming, great job to all if your staff!
Arriving, with a reservation obviously, prior to a wave of people coming in when a holiday parade ended, we were sat in order at the door. Walk-ins were accepted ahead so the purpose of a reservation was somewhat lost. At least then. But then we sat, about 10 minutes. Ordering off the extremely limited menu compared to past visits, food was slow now with crowds in and apparently served ahead of us. In fact, so slow I had a chance to go out, walk 3 blocks to put money in the meter (road to garage which they validate was blocked by the parade earlier), pass through the restaurant and go to a bank ATM in the office complex and return to the table and still wait for my simple chicken entree. The beer is great but not sure what Craftworks is up to with this division. Future times: go to the nearby Chop House or Old Chicago locations if I want something more than a beer. Too bad, this was the very first Rock Bottom in the US (the name is derived from the former Prudential name on the office tower...a piece of the rock at the bottom of the building.).
I go to Rock Bottom all the time. They are consistent, and a great place to meet up with folks!
I booked a reservation and requested wheelchair accessible seating and were given a table that required going up a step. Very disappointed in Rock Bottom! I frequent this restaurant and now need to reconsider.
Made reservation thru Open Table about an hour before we arrived. When checking in they were rude and told us that since we had made the reservation so close to the time that it wasn’t valid and they would not honor it even though I had a confirmation number and email showing the reservation. Very poor attitude and service. Please honor reservations or don’t show them as available on Open Table.
Overall, was not impressed. This is the second time I have been to this location before going to the theater. The food is marginal. The nachos are over cooked. The "grilled chicken" is shredded chicken left over from the day before. Ordered dressing on the side and the salad was drenched With it. That, plus the wilted lettuce made dinner pretty inedible. I think as a whole the food quality at Rock Bottom has definitely declined from what it once was.
Great place to grab a bite before hitting the theater. Very fast service - prompt and attentive. Food is mediocre.
Really does what it says on the tin. Food was excellent, reasonably priced and interesting. Lots of fun, perfect for having just arrived from London....
