Rock Bottom Brewery Restaurant - Colorado Springs Ratings and Reviews
Our waitress was very friendly and relatively attentive. She did forget the malt and vinegar for my fish and chips. Then at the end of the night, she brought a dessert to go, but only for two of the four, which seemed weird and was a very awkward for the group. How to divide that since one couple was going one way and the other was going the another.
It was a fun time overall.
Food was ok. Nothing special. Beer was ok as well. Nothing I couldn't get at my neighborhood brewery. The mac n cheese had very little cheese and it was more of a cheese sauce than anything. Waiter was a little too convenient and stopped by too many times and seemed in a very big hurry when the restaurant wasn't that busy.
Service was friendly and food came out super quick. I had the chicken tacos off the lighter menu, which were fabulous! My husband had the fish and chips which he said were average, but bland and not exciting. I wish their nutritional menu was more up to date online though. Otherwise, we enjoyed the atmosphere and the food was good. We plan to come back sometime.
We have frequented this restaurant quite a number of times since moving to Colorado Springs as it is a casual, friendly place to eat. Our only complaint is the young girls they have at the front check-in either do not know what they are doing or simply don't care? As an example, on our last visit, we had an online reservation for 6 pm for 2 people during a weekday. We arrived at a few minutes to 6 and were told that our table was being cleaned. We waited for 10 to 15 minutes and then were seated at a booth which had been clean and available from the time we arrived?...doesn't make any sense and the result will be irritated customers who will not return. The Manager(s) should educate the front entry staff or their business will eventually suffer; that would be very unfortunate as it is otherwise an enjoyable place to eat and grab a craft beer.
Other than that issue, the food was good and reasonably priced. Our server (Barbara) was excellent and the main reason we enjoyed the evening.....can't say enough good things about her.
My husband and I discovered Rock Bottom about three years ago. Our first option was a bust, so we went to Rock Bottom. We have been back for every special occasion since. The food is always good. The beer is amazing. (I'm not much of a beer fan, but I will drink just about anything they make.)
I was a little sad this last time we went, to find that they no longer have their Titan Toothpicks on their menu. They were amazing and part of the reason I chose to go there, but even without those, it's worth it. We paid about $80, including tip, for an appetizer, two large burgers, a beer sampler, a kids meal, and a giant fudge brownie with ice cream.
We felt the cost of our meal was more than expected, since my husband had water to drink. I did have a gin & tonic, but we couldn’t get the happy hour discount because we weren’t sitting in the right location of the restaurant. I feel we seemed to spend a lot for an ok meal. No appetizers, no steaks, no desserts & one person having water. We felt it was overpriced
The service was just down right terrible. We had to ask the host to fill our drink. Left the beer menu but never came back to take my order for said beer. Didn’t bring extra plates with appetizer (again had to ask host). Ordered a medium rare steak, however my food pretty much had a pulse. To top it all off, our server shorted us change purposely.
Just a terrible experience.
Greeted by a very pleasant hostess on a busy Saturday night. Arrived on time. Waited for 20 minutes before being seated. Brian was an awesome server! Very attentive and personable. Had the house porter, very tasty, and my better half had a glass of Kendall Jackson Chardonnay, great. They also brout out a sample of their brown ale--smooth taste. We both had burgers, and they were cooked perfectly! I had the 2am Burger--hash browns, bacon, and an egg on the burger with mashed potatoes--yum! My wife had the classic burger with fries--very good, fries were a killer! Finished the meal with a NY cheesecake--very good. Overall, great experience, highly recommend!
Good service, great beer and decent atmosphere. A bit noisy due to Sunday night football, but not unbearable. Good selection of burgers and entrees... not much in the way of soup or " cold weather comfort foods". Kid friendly, helpful staff. Close to shopping and the theatre. Would definetly go back.
They do not accept reservations on Friday or Saturday even though Open Table allows you to book it. Don't do it, you will likely wait for your table. Additionally, their drinks are mixed weak and we had to order the shot on the side to ensure it was mixed properly. Food is ok.
Although I was able to make a reservation through Open Table, the hostess told us that they don't take reservations upon arriving. Had to wait at least 30 minutes for our table & we had two small children with us. They did apologize & get us two free chips & queso orders. I specifically looked for & wanted a place that too reservations. They should be removed from Open Table!
The place was packed at 7:30 on a Wednesday so we got on opentable and got right in. A nice guy named Kenny was our server on the patio which was perfect for sunset and so we enjoyed their Irish Red and Hefe, made right here in CO, with the beautiful sunset! We had the cream cheese stuffed, bacon wrapped, jalapeño poppers for our app and they were delicious! I had the pulled pork sandwich which had good flavor but the meat was almost too mushy to be appetizing. My other half had the bourbon glazed brewery steak which was cooked to perfection!
This was our second time eating at this location and the first we had been In on Trivia night. The trivia was fun and the host did a great job. We will be back next week to play! But we will definitely make a reservation first!
Went for dinner and didn't have to wait too long for a seat. Service was fairly quick and they were nice enough. The food was OK. Really I have had much better at similar type restaurants, but it wasn't bad. I would say the atmosphere is good and the location is convenient, but the food is a little lacking. Overall just an OK place.
Restaurant was fine, however this app was the problem. I made a reservation 6 days in advance of my son's birthday dinner. When I arrived at the restaurant, I was told that they don't actually take reservations on weekends and that the Open Table app incorrectly allows this. After speaking with the manger, they were able to accommodate us (party of 7) on short notice.
Rock bottom did a great job of taking care of us.
Open Table = thumbs down.
When food takes an hour to come to a table, on a not that busy night, who is to blame?
Our waitress was very nice but must bear some responsibility for not alerting the kitchen at the 13-18 minute mark that something was amiss.
Why were we not offered a big plate of fries or something to munch on once they realized they had screwed up?
Also, once they realized something was off, why no visit from the manager. Also why did it take another 30 minutes to get our food from when our waitress finally realized something was off?
Finally the biggest miss of all, zero offer of free dessert or to comp the food. When I worked at Cheesecake Factory no one who waited an hour for food would have had to pay for it. Anything past 30 minutes would have gotten free cheesecake for sure.
Do not go to this restaurant.
Never have been a big fan about their service and I'm still not. If you make a reservation with this restaurant what you are actually doing is call ahead dining and when you arrive they put you at the top of the list. We had to wait about 15 mins before our table was ready.
