Rock Bottom Brewery Restaurant - Cincinnati
We came here to celebrate my daughters birthday and everything was wonderful. Food was great and server was very nice .
Everything was pretty darn good. The fish tacos were interesting with both a soft and crunchy shell. The French dip was very good although it was much smaller than the picture on the menu.
I had the raspberry beer and the orange blossom beer. They were both excellent. However, they didn’t pair well with the food. I would only order them again if I was just there for a beverage.
We visited pre-Reds game and there were very few people at the restaurant. Service was good.
This is one of our favorite restaurants. We love the nachos!
Ended up being quite hot outside so we sat inside in the bar area. Great atmosphere, food, and service.
The food was awful. Four of us in a party no one like the food. Pretty sure the microwave steaks, rubber potatoes, and cold vegetables. Kinda gross really. The beer was good... so they have that going for them.
Great service! Liked that I could put in a reservation and was sat immediately on a Friday night. Food was heavily seasoned with sodium but not enough to spoil my experience.
Food was great but service was a little slow especially given the light crowd at the time.
Everyone liked their food. The food came out fast and hot.
I'm torn on the question of recommending Rock Bottom because there are problems! My food was very good and the server apologized several times but all in all there just was not enough staff to handle the crowd which wasn't huge. They need to get the staffing issue under control as everything took far longer than it should have. My order was wrong (fried instead of grilled) but very good even though it lacked an ingredient that I was promised by at least three people would be brought out shortly, I never received the slice of avocado before leaving.
1.5 hours for our food, only 1/3 full. Awful awful awful awful
It took almost an hour to get our food. We ordered nachos as an appetizer but after 45 minutes the server said it would come with our order. We told them to cancel the appetizer as we were really hungry when we originally placed our order. When our order was delivered by a different server she was very rude to us because we wouldn't take the nachos.
We had a great waitress and the food was delicious and the drinks were outstanding!
We drove down to celebrate a birthday. Was super excited because it was also Reggae night on the square. The excitement lasted for only a few short moments because we quickly realized the restaurant was closed due to a maintenance issue via a note on the door.
I understand things happen. And we’re still huge fans. But this reservation wasn’t a good experience as we paid for parking & had to walk to Walhburger instead.
Went out to dinner before a show at the Aronoff. Made reservations, didn’t have to wait at all when we arrived. Good service, good food, excellent drinks! Would definitely love to go back!
We normally love Rock Bottom. Did not love sitting on the other side away from the bar, feels very basic in that area, lacks coziness. Food was hit or miss. Nothing terrible really to complain about, just so-do. Server was so nice. We stopped for dinner before seeing Tim Allen.
Always a reliable dining experience for a business lunch. Exceptional service!
Everything was very good. Our waitress was attentive and offered suggestions when asked. Great service.
It was just ok. I don’t think we would come back. I would have expected much better food quality for the price.
The beer is GREAT. They have a good selection from light to dark, where many places take darker beers off for the summer. The food is good, so long as you aren't in a hurry. Opt for the mashed instead of fries, as the mashed are wonderful.
Did take the 25 percent off my bill from the coupon I had and food sent back twice. Place is getting old and needs a make over.
90% of time RBB is top notch. Only had one not so positive experience. Always a good meal.
The food and service were great! We had a group of 7 and were very well taken care of.
Great food today and great service!
We were having dinner there before a Broadway show. We allowed an hour and 15 minutes for our order to arrive. We never received our dinner. The manager came out with about 20 minutes left before we needed to leave for the show apologized and said they were going to go bring our food out right awayAnd that she was not going to charge us for dinner. She never came back. The manager Also said we were going to not have to pay for dinner. She never came back and with 10 minutes before the show started we got up to leave in the waitress said she needed to go get a bill for which all we had was water and ice tea. There were many tables around us that were experiencing the same kind of service. When we sat down for dinner we asked if we were going to be able to get certain time because of the show.. They assured us they were going to have plenty of time to get that ready. Clearly they were shortstaffed or short back in the kitchen but it was never explained to anyone.
Hair in our beer cheese with no compensation and server couldn’t be bothered to wait on us as he was more focused on the bar side of service only saw him once after placing order and that was twenty minutes after we had finished eating.
The waitress was rude, the music was way too loud even after we asked them to kindly turn it down a notch and the food was awful!
Three of us had the same salad and they all turned out different . The chicken on it was dried out and tasted old.
We have been there several times in the past and enjoyed. Must have a new cook and good waitresses have fled!
Seemed busier than usual, being Cinco de Mayo on Fountain Square. Check-in was a bit chaotic but we were seated at our booth quickly. The cheeseburger I got was more done than I ordered and the fries were only luke warm. Usually the food is great. I recommended the delicious fish and chips last month. Perhaps the kitchen was a bit overwhelmed this visit. I still like this place.
Food always good! Loved the remodel. Haven't been there for a while!
Server was sooooo slow.
I was hoping so much to enjoy this place after hearing about it from a friend. The 2am burger was great, but the mac’n’cheese that we were told it was “Amazing... the best... we have to try it!” was cold, dry noodles, with a hair on the bottom. To be fair I didn’t complain, but I was also in a position that it would have awkward to say anything. The ambiance was the same to me as any sit down, nothing special but not bad. The service was pretty good, but again nothing to stand out. Overall just a meh experience that I traveled an hour to and from for, paid $ for parking in a garage (not owned by the restaurant btw! Just to clarify) and paid close to $30 for one meal (that I didn’t really enjoy) and lemonade. Kind of a bummer.
The restaurant has been remodeled since I last ate there about 6 months ago. Pretty shoddy work and materials of construction. I did like the open look it provided but finishing details lacked completeness. Especially on floor and booth work. The server Donald was awesome! The food got to the table luke warm for both I and my significant other. I would have to say the worst experience I have had at this location.
I typically like the food here but my salad wasn’t very good. With dressing on the side, the lettuce was wet and a little wilted. For over $13, I expected better. I usually get one of the chicken sandwiches and those are always good. Maybe just a one time thing.
Our server was kind and attentive. The food was tasty but there were several things we asked for (no tomato or cheese on salad) but there was. No green beans w the salmon, but there was. And a couple of other things. I'm pretty sure the waiter wrote these down so maybe the fault of the preparer. The light above the table was overwhelmingly bright. I like to see my food and don't want dark, but this was interrogation bright. Overall a good experience. But just a little more attention to detail. They barely had anyone there on Easter Sunday eve. Not upset at all just little things.
We stopped in to Rock Bottom before our show at the Aronoff (just a block away). I was so happy to find the Raspberry Ale on tap and they had just added a stout for my husband. I had the pepperoni pizza for the first time, and was very happy.
The remodel of Rock Bottom is awful! It is cold and uninviting. The cement floors and metal chairs are really loud. And the arrangement of the tables looks like a cafeteria. What were they thinking?!?!?
The menu is misleading. The banner at the top of the page in the menu says, "Happy Hour" and "Monday-Friday 3-6." Under that banner it lists the beverage specials and food specials. In the middle of the page anther banner says, "late night" suggesting that everything under that banner is for late night times/days listed. Under that banner it also says, "$3 Beer of the day all day everyday" and "Bar & Cocktail Area Only." Apparently, all the prices and times listed on the entire page are good only for the bar area. The manager did change my bill and give me the Happy Hour prices, but also let me know that "you read the menu wrong."
Our server, Andrew, was GREAT and my niece said he was, "hot." (The remodel and the misleading menu are not Andrews fault.)
Dinner before a play. Frequently eat there before a show. The staff
Our waitress was wonderful. Very friendly and service was great.Thats is very important to us
Food came out hot and in good time
Good food and the beers are pretty decent. Love being right on the square close to everything.
