Not as good as other Rock Bottom locations! We had very poor service. My hamburger was burnt and never even brought me the beer I ordered. Too many better places in the area. Don't waste your time.
Great service and ambience.
My friend and I were celebrating our birthday. The restaurant has a fun ambiance, good food, and our server, Katie, was excellent.
Dined here on a Saturday night after a matinee. We were seated quickly and the place was lively. Food was exceptional! Had mac & cheese and it was the best ever.
Food and service were wonderful.
Everything was just ok...from the service to the food to the beer--thought there would be more beer options.
Will not return.
Had reservation for christmas eve dinner. Arrived with my group to find out the restaurant was closed and they didn't inform me they would be closing early.
The food was great but our waiter definitely effected our dinner in a negative way. Very slow service, did not know the menu at all and ruined our dessert. Very disappointment.
My husband and sons like the variety of beer choices available, especially the Wicked Elf during the holiday season. My husband was disappointed that they took the Cuban sandwich off the menu. We only went for drinks this time.
Very good experience... Loved the Chicago Gold
The restaurant was so loud that no one at our table could hear anyone speaking. We asked to be moved to the other side of the restaurant (which was more than half-empty) but the hostess said she could not move us. Our waitress must have been employed at Dick's Last Resort before working at Rock Bottom because she brought a hearty serving of snark and inattentiveness to our table. Three times I had to go looking for her. It was a less than nice meal.
Food here wa unexpectedly good and truly friendly and top notch service
My dish, Chicken Fried Chicken, was extremely salty; nearly inedible. I️ should have sent it back but we were in a hurry. Our other dishes were average. The place was cold. There was no hot water in the men’s restroom. Very unlikely to return.
Our service was horrible !!! Our waitress was rarely seen....we usually had to flag down someone else to ask for basic service then our waitress would appear .... She may be the exception ....the other served seemed attentive abs energetic....ours sucked....so we spoke with the only toll we had asset trying to discuss it with the manager who seemed to busy, by leaving no tip...paid cash exactly to the penny....hope she gets the message
Great food! Awesome beer! My wife and I would came back when we are in town.
Met a friend here when I was in town for the day. Super easy to get her from the Redline L stop. Ironically it was happy hour so great value for a beer, appetizer and a meal. Would def come here again!
I chose this place for a co-worker "drinks and get to know each other". We were seated quickly, the service was good, the food was good and the drinks were as well. No complaints here. I might add that I appreciate the ease of making a reservation for 10. That was the tie breaker between which place to choose and you guys won simply because it was easy to make a reservation. Will definitely be back in the future.
Have eaten here many, many times. Menu is varied and can handle a wide range of family desires. Wait staff service can be so-so, as was the case for Sunday lunch this weekend. Other times, service has been fine.
One challenge is that you have to watch your bill. I've frequently received e-mailed two-for-one specials, %off options. For Sundays in football season, bloody marys, for example, are listed as $5 for anyone in the bar (no coupons needed). I was charged the usual price of $9.99 instead. In all cases, I've been able to iron out the bill easily, but it wouldn't have happened without my checking. So, food is good, but keep track of your bill.
We visited both Thursday night and Saturday night and service was awesome both nights, but especially good on Saturday night (Katie was our service I believe!). We visit Rock Bottom Brewery every time we come to Chicago and will be back in January. It is quite loud but its great to watch sporting events, taste or drink beer, and the food is great!
Disappointed. Pre- marathon tradition usually excellent food. It was very subpar. Pretzels were hard as rocks. Chicken Mac was dry, not creamy at all. Chicken sandwich was rubbery. We will be creating a new tradition somewhere else from here on out. Will not go back & wouldn’t recommend it.
I love that this is a brewery/restaurant that's so kid friendly. It's a comfortable, predictable place to go. And the rewards program is a draw... they give out a lot of rewards which makes it worth coming here for midweek meals. I like their nachos too.
The atmosphere was great! Service was a little slow but not bad. Had one mix up on our order, received vegetables instead of mashed potatoes but they promptly brought out some mashed potatoes when we told them. All the food tasted amazing!!
First time Danicola has waited on us here, the service was great. Beverages stayed full. Away checking on us, but not obnoxiously over doing it.
The menu has a lot of options. I always enjoy the food here.
Yes, it is a little noise, but this is a sports bar on a Saturday night. Having lots of TV on baseball and all the college football gsmes.
Burger came to table very burnt and when sent back took an extremely long time to get a new one. No one apologized for this and instead it seemed it was an inconvenience.
Great food great service loved our waiter Dave.. our daughter had a great birthday lunch..
Had a rooftop reservation when we arrived they said they don't take rooftop reservations. Went to the rooftop waited an hour for a table. Limited menu bad service. Then was told by open table I never showed for my reservation.
We had a great dinner here! We will definitely be back the next time we are in the Chicago area.
I had some people visiting from out of town and was really excited to bring them to Rock Bottom because I used to work for the Lombard location and have always loved their food. Our server Greg was the least personable person I've ever met and seemed to have no patience for our questions. He walked away twice while taking our order and kept looking over his shoulder like we were taking up too much of his time. I understand he was busy but we had questions on the menu and we were his table as well. He wasn't the one who dropped off our food and didn't check in on us until he dropped the check. We had needed refills, mayo and bbq sauce but never received it because he never checked in on us. I was mostly embarrassed to have brought people here because I had been raving about how great RB is, well at least the Lombard location is always a solid choice. When he did finally come for the check he just apologized saying he had other tables and they needed split checks and he was really busy. Again, I understand being busy but he hasn't really attended to us anyway so it would have been nice to not have to wait an additional ten minutes just to leave because we couldn't pay. The food is always great, thankfully, but will definitely not be returning to this location.
