Rock Bottom Brewery Restaurant - Boston Ratings and Reviews
A small group of came here on a busy Saturday night before a show at the Wilbur Theatre. We had booked in advance online (which I strongly recommend) and were seated immediately upon arrival. Drinks, appetizers, and meal were all timely and enjoyable. Our waitress was awesome and checked in with us periodically throughout our time here. It was a great place, would highly recommend!
This was our 2nd visit to this restaurant. The food and drinks are excellent. The service is pleasant and efficient. The noise level was better for conversation this time—not so crowded. We would highly recommend this restaurant for a casual meal after a show in the theater district. An easy walk to all venues. This would also be a great place to watch a game—lots of tvs & great energy.
We went out for our sons birthday and the food and service were great. Unfortunately because of all the windows and the cold temperature outside, we had to sit inside at the table with our jackets in because it was so cold and the heat couldn't keep up with the large restaurant.
I got there to hostess with attitude. I had 2 things under request when booking ...nothing was even mentioned. I waited 15 mins to put drink order in idk it was a good food just feel like workers In front could be nicer/happier and service from kitchen was slow.
Was seated and waited 20 minutes for a waitress, a woman came over apologized said that our waitress just walked in the door and was a little over whelmed because she had all her tables filled at the same time , she would take our drink order, but please go easy on the waitress as she is doing the best she can with all her tables wanting service at the same time. Our drink order came out 1-2 drinks at a time, asked for a sprite for my granddaughter that took 3 requests to finally get. After about 15 minutes, another waiter came to the table with a whole drink order that we did not order and when we stated that we just received our order, he came back within 5 minutes and said the Bartender won’t charge you for this round because we are just going to throw it out any ways.appetizers came, but never removed from the tables when we were done, food was delivered a few at a time , with the last meal received approx 10 minutes after firsst one was delivered and they were fish tacos, not a difficult meal to make. Overall not a good experience, when asked to speak with a manger the hostess stated that he was talking with some friends and it would be a few minutes, we noticed him talking with a group,of people having his picture taken with them ,apparently too busy to speak with an unhappy customer! I would not recommend this restaurant, seems too unorganized ,
WORST SERVICE EVER. My husband and I waited over 30 min for our bar drinks while others were being served. A party of 6 that sat after us had their food well before ours came (reservation for 3 was my party). My son ordered "butter noodles" and they came with no butter. Food was.... eh.. I've had much better at the 99. The only plus was that the manager comped almost the entire bill.
Extremely loud place. Had a reservation still had to wait. Ask how long it would be after 15 min was told they had already called for me. Was sitting 3 feet from them waiting. We both ordered apps and dinner. After a very long wait was given both our soup/salad and our dinners at same time. Tables are so close together you can barely squeeze through to get to the other seat. Soup was good but taco were not great. If you did want to watch football the tvs are only in one direction so one person has their back to them. Have to strain your neck to turn and see them. Had to learn forward to talk it was so loud. No privacy with people a foot away on both sides. Will not be back. Better places to eat in Boston.
Go here every time in town and sometimes more than once a day. Went in for Black Friday $1 draft beers after getting email and was told "we don't have those. It's against the law in MA to sell alcohol on holidays." Thanksgiving was the day before when stores can't sell it but restaurants can as we consumed wine at our Thanksgiving dinner. Was very disappointed in what were told after getting email about special. Plus the chair my daughter was sitting in broke and she nearly hit her heard on a brick wall that our table was next to. They took care of the bill with what happened to my daughter so that made up for not getting our $1 draft beers but seriously considering now not to go here anymore while in Boston.
We were late due to crazy traffic but we were seated at a booth for 6 fairly quickly. There was a wait but they do have booths made to seat large parties so that made it easier. It was crowded and noisy- but more of a buzz - not obnoxious. TV's around the bar face out to the crowd so you can watch a game if you want. Teenagers really liked the mac and cheese. We stuck to pretty standard fare - next time I think I would venture out and try a steak or salmon dish. I saw other tables with the bacon wrapped jalapeno poppers ...I want to try those next time! This location very convenient to hotel we were staying and theater district.
Wasn't bad but I probably wouldn't return. Lobster and shrimp enchiladas were not like traditional enchiladas. They were not finished off baked in the sauce but were served dry with the sauce on the side. Very unusual for enchiladas. It was more like a rolled up taco. Again, not bad but definitely not a traditional enchilada.
