Rock Bottom Brewery Restaurant - Boston
Great food, adequate selection of good beers. Acceptable environment for a family dinner.
Food was not great but beer was good fish tacos were gross
Good value, plenty of draught beers. Food was lovely. Excellent service. Took our two teenage kids and they enjoyed.
The beer is great, good selection for any taste, and can't beat a $4 beer of the day! Mac n cheese and a burger were delicious, other sides and steak were pretty band, but no cooked poorly. Overall pretty loud atmosphere, as to be expected at a pub. Service was somewhat slow for it not being very busy.
Standard pub fare. Good burger. Everything else basic to solid.
Long time favourite - bustling lively sports bar with great beer and a solid menu of simple classic food that’s hearty, well cooked and resonantly priced - all that and a super beer selection too!
Sorry so say this was not a great visit. The food was sub-par -- the chicken was stringy and tough. The waitress was pleasant enough but had to be reminded twice about delivering beverages. She then brought the check without asking if we wanted coffee and dessert, which we did. And then an hour after we left I got an email from Open Table reprimanding me for NOT showing up for the reservation.
I've been going to Rock Bottom since they opened on Stuart Street. It's not fine dining, and no one expects that, but you could always rely on a good meal at a decent price. Whether it's management or ownership, the last two times I've been there have been disappointing. There probably won't be a third chance. There are too many other places to choose from in the neighborhood to have to walk out having had a poor experience.
Good pub food. Busy but service was attentive and excellent.
Made reservations before a show at the Wilbur on a Saturday night. Was seated right away upon walking in, and greeted by the waiter very quickly. Ordered the steak street tacos which were good, and husband said 2am burgerwasvery yummy too. Beers were pretty solid as well. Overall had a good experience and our server, Mike, was great!
Great place in the theater district...reasonably priced and great 🍺
We enjoyed lunch on a Saturday before attending "Beautiful" at the Opera House. 2 of us had Street Tacos and 1 had Smoked Chicken Tostadas. Very good. We enjoyed Grapefruit Mules and Virgin Bloody Mary for beverages. Service was prompt. Hostess and waitstaff were attentive and courteous. Food and beverages were a good value. It was a very cold day and we asked to be moved to a table away from windows and doors, but it was still a little too cold for us. We do look forward to going back and trying other food and beverage selections.
After the Patriots Victory Parade, we use open table to reserve a spot at Rock Bottom. The pats ambience was in the air. Restaurant was clean. Awesome menu. Great food. Spot on.
Much better than average food for a brew pub, excellent service
Location was great for the theater district. Food was typical bar food, but good. The service was very good really attentive. Kind of noisy but a fun atmosphere. I would recommend and go back again.
We were a group of 8. Food was fast, apps were great. D
Main courses were just ok. Waiter wasn't very attentive at all. 2nd time going there, probably not a 3rd. Beer was great though.
I met my boyfriend in the city for lunch and he chose this place because one of his coworkers recommended it. We got a cobb salad and a chicken ceasar salad. Both were very fresh and tasty. We got two beers off tap and it was great! Overall good time.
It was a nice choice, convenient location to theater and had a variety of menu options.
Lemon salmon was sensational! Our server was attentive but not overly so. Also loved the beer selection. I will definitely be going there again!
Good was great, lots of options, staff was friendly and accommodating. Would love to go back soon!
Great menu, extensive drink selections, nice vibe. You won’t leave hungry.
We were going to a show that night so we made dinner reservations here ahead of time and got seated once away when we arrived. The food & atmosphere were great and I definitely want to go back again!
Hostess was not well trained in handling a line of people. I had reservations, showed up on time and then had to wait 15 minutes in line to finally reach the hostess station. Customers were leaving left and right and it wasn't even noticed. Maybe a bad day.
We were 20 min late for our reservation so they canceled it. Terrible service. Place was crowded at the door and unorganized host station.
The food was average as it seemed as if it had been sitting around for awhile, especially the onion rings.
Rock Bottom was okay - the burgers were good, but I should have known better than to order a salad. Service was a bit slow and the waitress seemed overwhelmed and confused. Location is convenient for pre/post-theater and the drinks are fine, but I wouldn't seek this place out just for going out for dinner in Boston.
We had a reservation for 5:30, but when we arrived they didn't have an open table for us. They temporarily sat us at a broken table so we didn't have to stand and wait. The table was near the from windows, which was very cold. The windows don't do a good job of blocking the cold. Most people who had to sit by the windows were wearing their jackets.
Overall the experience was okay. We were seated very close to to the entrance and every time the door opened we got a blast of cold air and had to wear our jackets during the meal. Not that big of a deal. Also service was just okay. We asked for some items which never arrived like water or more bread, so again not that big of a deal. The price was very reasonable though for five of us with drinks it was just over $100. I think a great place to get a bite to eat before or after the theater.
Food was tasty great portions great service. Family loved the raised booths.
Great beer, ok food, kind of loud
We went to Rock Bottom before a show at the Opera House. It was perfect. The service was great the food came fast and was really good. We will go again!
Servers were very attentive and friendly. Food was good pub style food.
Great for before or after a show. Loved the food. I enjoyed the environment.
Excellent & speedy service, great food & beer!
Fun bar food dinner- great post theater and fast even though they were pretty busy
Great place to have dinner and drinks before a show!
We had the worst waitress I’ve had at a restaurant in years. Food and drinks were excellent.
Service was excellent! Upon being seating our server was right over to introduce himself. There was something on the menu for everyone in my party. Food was served hot and prepared to our request (i.e. medium on the burger and steak). Atmosphere was relaxed and kid friendly. I would definitely return.
Of the two 3/4 pound hamburgers ordered medium rare, one was perfect, the other medium well; otherwise the experience was very good.
A good spot, close to theaters for pre-show dinner and gathering. Able to book a table for 8 online ahead of a show. Meals were good, beers good.
Rock Bottom has very good pub style food. It is close to all the theaters in the theatre district, so the location is perfect for a pre show dinner.
Good prices and fun atmosphere. I will definitely go back.
