Rock & Brews - Chesterfield
We sat for awhile looking for someone to offer us a drink and take our order. Although it was Valentines Day so I hold nothing against our waiter, thank you !
Wonderful atmosphere, and we thoroughly enjoyed the meal. The outside section being available for dogs, and having a special menu for them was awesome! Highly recommend, and I will be a repeat customer for years if they keep up this caliber of service.
Great time with friends!
The food was great along with the service. We loved eating in the little dining room. We had a great time talking.
The menu selection seemed very limited multiple burgers but all seemed basically the same. We ordered a regular burger it came out charcoaled and burnt. Our veggie burger was brought out first as a regular burger then replaced with a burger so burnt we couldn’t even tell if it was vegetarian (it was) .
My daughters kids kabob was a chicken breast with 2 sticks in it not even cut up. She wasn’t even brought a side . She didn’t eat half the chicken because it was too well done.
I got the strawberry fields salad and my chicken was “overly” cooked too.
We sat on the “patio” I wa uncomfortable with our servers style she sat down at our table slumped back waiting on us to order after we asked for extra time. She did this twice.
Also the patio had only one other table on it yet the host opted to sit a party of 8 right next to our table so my children had trouble accessing their seats.
The only thing that saved this night was my kids were distracted with pinball.
Not a good experience!
Would not recommend. I ordered the steak sandwich which from the picture on the menu looked plentiful. However, sandwich was nothing like picture which is very misleading. I ended up with only two small, thin pieces of steak on a huge hogie bun. My husband ordered the pulled pork sandwich which he said, tasted more like roast beef, not pork. He was also disappointed with the potato salad, tasteless. Service was fine and after complaining, our server spoke with manager and they took my sandwich off. Didn't complain about the other sandwich. Unfortunately, we will not return which is unfortunate because we would have enjoyed the patio in nice weather.
Great outdoor seating area! Food was all great! Service was a little slow but server was still great! We will definitely be back.
I thought the overall experience was a big let-down the service was slow by the time we did get our food it was cold the chicken was dry and the staff was not very friendly or attentive.
Our dog group LOVES going to Rock & Brews and having lunch or dinner on the fully enclosed, heated patio with our dogs. And, our dogs love their own doggie menu. Good food and great service!
Good Food; Good Service; Good Price; Can't beat it...
My first visit and I wasn't impressed with the food. Very loud
Great place to eat. All the staff seemed to be very friendly and actually had smiles on their faces.
It was freezing cold in this place and the patio was closed so that wasn't an option. We were a party of seven and all of us put on jackets, even the guys. When we asked why it was so cold the waitress replied that it was because the floor would get wet otherwise.🤔🤦♀️ We switched tables trying to find a warmer spot and she let her displeasure be known. I had to stifle a giggle when i watched the next group to sit at the original table do the exact same thing! Changing tables only helped mildly. And then we ordered. Since it was $5 burger night (that we were unaware of when we went) most of us got those. We ended up waiting 35 minutes for our food. It was somewhat busy but as it was 7:30 most people seemed to have finished their meals. I couldn't see that the kitchen was being hit with a lot of orders simultaneously.
Basically an unimpressive place.
We continue to go back. If that tells you anything. Even bring friends.
Trolls were there and it was awesome!
The sandwiches were good. However, the cole slaw and potato salad were tasteless. The server was nice, but got busy later on.
My boyfriend and I had came before and had mediocre service. We gave it another chance. We loved the dog menu/GF options the first time. However, the second experience was awful. Made reservations before hand. We came to celebrate our dogs 1st bday. Sat on the patio (there were 4 of us). The appetizers were great. Never got the ranch dressing for them that we asked multiple times for. Our server had to be asked to refill our water. Mind you it was about 90+ degrees and when he did refill our glasses it was just water. No ice. We place our order. We got salads to split and GF pizzas to split/share. The waiter leaves and returns some time later. To inform us they don't have GF pizza crust. Then we have to wait for menus to be brought to us to reorder something different. We constantly had to ask or remind the waiter about our alcoholic beverages. Waited over 20 minutes for a vodka and cranberry. Mind you all 4 of us were drinking, and each time a different staff brought us our drink. Not our waiter. Waiter never cleared dishes and empty glasses from table while we were waiting for our food. Our waiter brought us more water, but sat the pitcher on the table beside us and walked off. So I had to refill all four of our glasses. Luckily there was some ice this time. Our food took 45 minutes to come. We ordered burgers and salads. My boyfriends parents got a salad to share, there was no dressing on it. And at this point our waiter and the manager who's now out there assure us that there's dressing on the salad. But just in case they'll bring more. Yeah, no there was absolutely no dressing on the salad. There was wilted nasty slimy looking leaves of lettuce in all of our bowls of salad. Especially after the manager tells us that theyve been trying to get GF pizza crust for over two weeks but failed to share that with his wait staff. The manager claimed to be in the field for 13 yrs doing this. Yet admitted that he didn't plan or schedule anyone to cover the outdoor section
Was traveling and didn’t realize it was burger night. The place was packed but our reservation was honored on time. Great beer selection and menu. Really liked the possibility of burger being on a lettuce wrap. Blue cheese burger was great. My husband enjoyed the ribs tremendously. Nice spice coating dry rub with a little bit of kick. They got backed up in the kitchen and manager came by with a gift card. Would go back again.
Food was very good and service was exceptional. Have enjoyed both visits and would highly recommend.
Friendly and efficient staff, fresh made food, spotlessly clean
The service was WAY above what I have experienced in this area otherwise. The food was perfect and I love the carry out bins they give for leftovers
Lisa was very professional and courteous.
It was Mother’s Day, so it was busy. Server was amazing, but the kitchen was slow. We love this restaurant, though. The kids play while we eat — what’s not to love?
Good food, but poor service. Our server clearly wanted to be somewhere else.
Great draught beer selection and wide variety of food. Everyone was able to find something they enjoyed. Loved the music & music videos. Fun place to go for dinner or just drinks.
Our first visit to Rock n' Brew was nice. The patio had heating, and the chairs were comfy. We went for dinner - and were engulfed by a happy hour crowd. The food was good...nothing fabulous, but good. The beer was cold. It was middle of the road.
it was a great atmosphere, great food and service, will definitely go back.
Enjoyed our dinner! Food was wonderful. Brew-schetta was delicious. It was a pretty busy night so the noise level was expected however, there were periods where we couldn’t hear the music over the crowd. While I wouldn’t want the music to be blaring, we would have appreciated it moderated a bit when the dining room filled.
it was awesome, staff was awesome, they even gave us bread pudding free of charge...I loved this place I hope someday I will be able to meet gene simmons, he is my husbands idol...thank you so much...........great job....
We’ve visited R&B’s for weekend lunch/apps several times. The atmosphere is so much fun! Classic rock on the TV’s & loud enough - but, not too loud. The patio fire pit is homey & gorgeous, and dog-friendly! Trying to decide where to go for anniversary dinner, I looked at the menu online. The decision was made! We brought another couple, who had never been to R&B’s. Jeremy “Red” was an awesome server & hilarious! Drink menu has something for everyone. Variety of beer, cocktails, wine. The jalapeño poppers, bruschetta & wings ...fresh, yummy! Dinner choices included steak sandwich, fish & chips, steak slices w/ asparagus spears. So good. Fresh. Tender. The manager brought us complimentary bread pudding for dessert for our anniversary & our friends 1st visit. When he left, as good as it looked, we all said we didn’t LOVE bread pudding. Somehow, it was devoured in 5 minutes between the 4 of us. It was that good. Surprisingly, we learned that the music variety included more than classic rock. We liked it but not sure if it was a coincidence or that’s what they do during the week. We’ll find out our next visit...soon!
The food was average. The decor was interesting. The biggest issue we had was being set on the patio and patrons kept exiting that door instead of using the main vestibule which is a double door entrance to help keep the cold out. The least the restaurant could have done was put a sign on the patio door that said “for the comfort of our other patrons please do not use this door except in an emergency.” It was less than 8 degrees outside!
The service was a bit slow, but the food tasted good. Also, it was a bit loud so having a conversation was a bit difficult at times.
I have been to Rock N Brews a few times. The service and food was fantastic! A small group of us went Tuesday to celebrate a birthday. Tuesday was also the "Burger Special". I had been on prior Tuesdays and didn't have any problems. We ordered quickly but it took our food a while to arrive. One order was incorrect. Two of us had to leave to get back to the office. I do plan to go back and give it another try. Hopefully the service will be better.
Great burger and beer specials!! Food was delicious and we had a great time!
I was disappointed. It was like Applebees. My grandson got the child pizza. Very small serving even for a child. Two people in our party didn't get their drinks . Had to remind the waitress. Food was okay. Menu focused on spicy foods. Just expected more with Gene Simmons attached to the restaurant.
Always enjoy the food. Service is great. Offers great happy hour specials. Love the fact that ownership is PRO Military and if for no other reason will support based on that.
From the hostess, to the servers everyone was so efficient and friendly. The food was also outstanding. We would definitely recommend this place.
The service on that particular evening was outstanding. The server was very attentive and on top of seeing that we were well taken care of. When the Manager showed up to our table to apologize for the food being delayed, I was truly taken aback. The atmosphere was such that, that was not even an issue. The food was served hot and was very delicious. The drinks were on constant refill and the ambiance was very sociable. The pricing for the dinner was well within reason. I left the restaurant feeling that it was well worth the visit and I will return again.
The service was slow but the food was good.
Second time we enjoyed lunch with friends at this location. Friends were from out of town and enjoyed the many choices of beer. Service was much better this time by the server. Both times have sat outside to dine. Weather was better this time and that is good because no shade for the outside dining area.
