To be honest, I have to visit Rochester's again and write another review. We went recently solely for barbecue, and quite frankly I wasn't impressed. I'm spoiled by Dinosaur BBQ, so when I get ribs that taste like they were cooked in an oven with not one hint of smoke I'm not going to be thrilled. Sides were good... service was VERY good. They do have a piano player there who was good, but he was a bit too loud for the room and it got old after a bit. The wings as appetizer were really good - probably my favorite thing I ate there. Next visit I want to try more southern/soul food items rather than their BBQ. So as of now would I recommend this spot for BBQ? That would be a "No"...

This place is hidden in a strip mall, but don't let that stop you from going. The BBQ is authentic and delicious!

This was our first visit and we will definitely be back. We were there on a Saturday night, with another couple, and only two other tables were occupied. Michael Corman was playing the keyboard and was great - he played all our favorite songs. The ribs were delicious and we had a variety of side dishes that all were very good. The banana pudding and the peach cobbler were a delicious ending to the meal. The service was eXcellent and all staff were very attentive. We plan to tell all our friends and hope to return with family members during the Thanksgiving holiday.

We were in town for the Columbus Day weekend and to catch an Eagles Game. Did not really know where to eat, so we checked out Rochester's. Funny, since we were all from Rochester, NY. Made a reservation for 7 pm on Saturday night. Not crowded, they had a brisk take out while we were there. I do not think they have their liquor license. We called ahead and were told we could bring our own alcohol in and there was no corkage fees. So, we brought a couple of bottles of wine. Service was great, friendly waitress. We met Mrs. Rochester at the door. Ordered the Fire Cracker Shrimp and the mild fried Buffalo Wings. The shrimp was awesome, quite tasty and had some fire to it. The wings- I am quite sorry we did not order more of these. They were cooked to perfection and the sauce was a combo of sweet/sour/Buffalo. Best wings I have ever eaten. We also ordered pork ribs, with side of collard greens and candied sweet potatoes. Portions were quite generous, prices were right where they should be. We all had take home containers. I wish that I was local, I would go here all the time. We also told another couple who ran into at the Eagles game on Sunday and they went Sunday night and they also had a great meal. There is also live music- we had Mike, a blind lawyer, who played requests for us on the keyboards. I highly recommend you check this place out. Not a fancy dining room, but the food more than makes up for it!

We enjoyed this BBQ restaurant very much. They served very generous portions and the food was tender and tasty. We definitely return. Would like to come when they have live music on Friday nights.
