Our sever was excellent and the ambiance was very nice. They were very accommodating. It was a good dining experience for our last meal on vacation

Bruno and Tyler were great entertainment. Both made sure we had an enjoyable evening. Food was superb and the wine was memorable.
The noise level is truly hard to bear. A constant thumping rhythm is tough to take. Especially when you are trying to have a conversation. I think the restaurant would have many repeat customers if they’d bring the noise level down a couple of notches and some more melodic voice of music.

It was like returning to Provence! The cassoulet was to die for. Everything we ordered was excellent and the service was also at just the right level- not overly attentive but checking in enough to make sure we were good.
Waiter poured coffee in my purse. Manager gave me free dessert. Would have been better if she had run our drinks instead of walking by them twice… instead we watched them sit on the bar until we already had our food for ten minutes. Food is fine, but not worth the terrible service.

Our reservation was at 2:45. We waited 15 minutes before getting seated & then was told they only serve cocktails 3-4. This should of been told to us before we sat down.
We arrived with a reservation right when the restaurant opened only to be seated at a dirty table full of crumbs and food. Being the only ones in the restaurant at that time we were seated elsewhere. Our waitress, Sophie, was awful. She only refilled our water upon our request, which ended up being once because the entirety of the stay she was nowhere to be found. We had someone in our party with an allergy who requested avocado on their eggs Benedict since they could not have salmon, and the avocado never came. Even after we asked again after waiting to eat our food. She never came back to ensure we got it, which we did not. We tried to find her to let her know, she was distracted chatting with the bar tender as we waited with empty plates. Other people came to clear the area and deliver complimentary desserts which was a nice touch but did not do anything but make things worse as it prolonged the horrible service experience. The food was good but bad service does not sit well with me, especially when the restaurant is not crowded. So my family friends and I will not be returning here.
LOVE THIS PLACE. Amazing food, great way to experience French cuisine for 1st timers. Gluten-free, vegan, soy-free, dairy free, vegetarian friendly if that’s your vibe but the meat dishes are also superb. Everyone from the hosts to our waitress, Sarah Catherine, to the bartender we’re so lovely and friendly and approachable and not in that creepy robotic way that some restaurants push lmao

Had a lovely brunch outside. Drinks and food were good, especially the coffee, French onion soup, and profiteroles. Had a minor mishap in regards to a missing egg and they handled it really well. Not only did the manager come over to apologize (which was all we felt was necessary) but they threw in a dessert on the house which was really above and beyond. Definitely felt like they genuinely felt bad about the mistake and corrected. Would recommend to anyone looking for a nice brunch.
I had the French omelette with roasted vegetables which was basic breakfast fare. It was outstanding and I highly recommend trying it.
This was my birthday dinner … loved the ambience … chic and romantic. Dinner was amazing! We had the oysters on a half shell, foie gras, gnocchi and for our main meals the cod and pork chop. Everything was cooked perfectly. Our server was attentive and had a great sense of humor. Overall, a fantastic birthday dinner!
Good food, but very poor service which made it harder to have enjoyable meal. Service was disorganized from the start. We had an outdoor reservation and it then started raining expectedly which is no fault of the restaurant. However, we were the only table outside without an umbrella cover and when it started raining nobody came out to check on us. When we asked, we were told there were no indoor tables and were never offered to move even as we saw plenty of people leaving. When an outdoor table with an umbrella finally opened, we had to move ourselves. Obvious tensions between wait staff, runners and kitchen. Several forgotten drink orders, and waited an hour and a half for food. No complementary drink or dessert offer. Clearly there are staffing issues due to COVID, unfortunately might be a long while before we come back if ever.

Rochambeau’s entire dining experience from check-in, to the bar (shout out to Sophia, the kind and talented bartender that made the most delicious French 75 I’ve ever tasted) to dinner service, the entire evening was amazing! I could eat their warm fresh baguette, grilled carrots, and lemon chicken tagine for the rest of my life - so delicious. Thanks for an unforgettable evening, Rochambeau, I’ll definitely be back.
Rochambeau is literally my favorite restaurant in the Back Bay. I am regular and have never ever been disappointed. The food is consistently superb, the service friendly and professional and the ambiance just perfect.
My wife and I dined outside with our two boys last night and we had a great meal. The food was excellent: French onion soup, roasted chicken, charcuterie, gnocchi all very good. The highlight was Bruno, our Brazilian waiter who had us laughing and provided excellent service.
Portions are *tiny*. $14 plate of just arugula is outrageous.
We loved our experience at Rochambeau! Our waiter Bruno was excellent and so personable. Our party of 4 had delicious selections from the brunch menu. We all commented on how cool the second floor decor was and what a great ambiance it creates. We will look forward to our next visit.

Bruno was amazing! Our food was phenomenal and we had a wonderful time. Things are a bit expensive but it was so worth it! I'll definitely be coming back.
Appetizers and the main courses were delicious. However, the deserts should be better (profiteroles weren’t fresh and chocolate was bitter/sour) for the price.
Also, for the price, the restrooms should be clean and toilet seats shouldn’t fall apart and such.

We ate outside, which was very nice, although there was a good amount of road noise. We had a wonderfully pleasant waiter named Bruco, who was really a delight. The food was superb (tagine, cauliflower steak, salad) as were the cocktails. The prices were high (true of many restaurants right now), but the portions were generous-- so reasonable value. Will definitely go back.
