Could not recommend this restaurant enough! I went with a group of 6 people, so we got to try a lot of the menu. Beautiful decor and ambiance. Our serve was very delightful and everything we ordered was delicious. Highly recommend the chicken liver mousse, steak tartare, coussulet and roasted duck. Will absolutely be returning to this establishment.
We went for New years day brunch. Excellent menu and service. Bucket of bubbles was a hit. Brunch selections were varied and all quite good. Would certainly go back for a din er or another brunch.
The steak frites and french onion soup here were AMAZING! Will definitely be going back for both of those!
Filet and duck were both overcooked
Cool, funky vibe with great drinks and food. Our server, Makenzie could not have been better. Superb service. I highly recommend
Everything was great, my only flag is that they sat us super close to other tables so it was less intimate with my date than expected
Fun restaurant & great food.
Food was spot, atmosphere was fun, and service was great.
Holiday get together with our neighbor. Was a great time and delicious dinner.
Christmas Eve dinner
Everything from service to drinks to dinner to dessert was exceptional. McKenzie paid extra attention to detail and was an excellent server. Great selection of French wines and the food all delicious. Definitely recommend for a romantic night or any occasion if you’re around for a fun time!
A good servicable french restaurant whose parts do not equal the whole. The food was good - but unexceptional for the price. The server was too attentive to the point of being annoying. The ambiance is good for gathering. There is good energy level in the restaurant. The menu is interesting. Nothing we had was bad. Overall there are better places to spend $150 for dinner for two.
Rochambeau was better than expected the food was good. Our waitress Emily was exceptional !! Very attentive and advised us on our selections. The noise level was a bit high. Other than that I would definitely return!! Also drinks were very good!
We sat at bar for around 10 mins and no one acknowledged us (no menus no water and no hello) so we left
We had a great time and will absolutely be back! Service was a great pace (we didn’t feel rushed or like the restaurant was crazy busy at all), the food was fantastic, and the ambiance is lovely! We already have picked out what we want to try next time we go!
We had a wonderful experience at Romchambeau! From arrival to the service and oh the food!! Bruno was spectacular. Thank you!
Our server, Alyssa, was awesome - friendly, professional and competent. She definitely added to an already great brunch.
It was great
Large portions and excellent
Bruno is the best waiter we’ve ever had
Great food, horrible service. Do not come here if you have any sort of time constraint. We waited an hour and a half to have only soup (not our goal). Ended up taking our entrees to go because they took so long and we had somewhere to be. Cocktails took almost 30 minutes to arrive, and after having our soups our entrees also took almost another 40 minutes. By the time they came we asked for them to go because we had another engagement. By the way, one was steak tartare which ostensibly has no cook time.
i can’t tell you anything as we had a reservation- gave our table to another couple- and we sat at bar. For 20 mins the bar staff stood at opposite end of bar, passes as twice, never acknowledged us, nor wiped bar or said “one moment please” They were not so busy just seemingly disinterested. We left
The host was accommodating with our booth request to social distance with the rest. We felt safe. The service was wonderful. The food was the delicious and the cocktails were strong and tasty. The space us beautiful and we enjoy our overall experience as usual. It's our new favorite French restaurant in the city.
One of my favorite restaurants in the Back Bay, or in Boston, for both family and business events. The menu is great, the wine list is great, the service is great and the food NEVER disappoints.
Excellent food, service, value
Fantastic meal and really warm and efficient service. Love the ambiance and the food was fantastic.
Bruno our waiter was awesome! Great service and tasty food. Loved the bucket of bubbles.
C’est magnifique ! Happy to be back at our favorite restaurant! Rochambeau has great cuisine and ambiance! Thank you to team !
bartender was nice , but service was terrible . she broke my water glass and i had to ask for another one almost ten minutes later . she also sprayed my food and drinks with her cleaning spray as she broke the bar down in the middle of our meal . food came out cold and although we requested to have our appetizers before our mains , everything came out together … bright lights came on during our dessert so we took the hint but felt very unwelcome and extremely rushed . not a good evening at all …
Everything was delicious, would definitely return!
We chose to do Thanksgiving a little different this year, and Rochambeau proved to be a great choice from the food to the service. Our meals varied from the veal to the Cod and each was impeccable.
We were there for Thanksgiving. The food was actually surprisingly good. But our server was pretty bad considering the level of restaurant- he actually seemed as if we were bothering him.
Some items on the menu were great, while escargot was underwhelming.
Absolutely made our anniversary something special and I night to remember. Amazing service and complimentary champagne! Highly recommend
It was very noisy!
The restaurant staff at the maitre’d front desk were wonderful! We initially had a party of 6, including a couple who came with a toddler, and the staff thoughtfully showed their stroller and set them up with a high chair. Then 2 additional colleagues decided to join us at the last minute, and even though the restaurant clearly had to fit in several large parties that night, the staff cheerfully moved us to a larger table so we didn’t have to squeeze everyone in uncomfortably —so kind and accommodating, such great customer service! The server was also attentive and patient and efficient, and the food was delicious… everyone was very happy with our dining experience at Rochambeau!
Excellent as always.
The food was very good. They had all the traditional French dishes (French onion soup, escargot, creme brûlée , etc) & other variations. The ambivalence/vibe was like a Parisian cafe/restaurant. The restaurant is deceptively large.
It had romantic lighting which means low lighting which caused some issues reading the menu or going up the flight of stairs to the main restaurant area.
The service was very good. It was a Saturday night so they were quite busy & still provided good service overall.
We had a great meal with friends. Our server, Jack gave us the perfect amount of attention and was able to anticipate our needs. A terrific server! Loved our spacious booth in the second floor.
