Rocco's Tacos & Tequila Bar - Boca Raton Ratings and Reviews
Our server Brandon was amazing and the food was amazing
The part that was not good was when we arrived. We had a reservation for 830 and the hostess did not sit us until 8:50 because they were giving reserved tables away to people on the walk-ins list, which was unacceptable. Reservations are made for a reason and if they were not upheld then there is no point in making them.
It is definitely a fun neighborhood restaurant to try to clear it as it wasn’t Tuesday and they have all taco specials with her it was a great deal to try it. However we are a little disappointed in some of the tacos that we tried. Also the chips seem very very spicy. way overpriced. I have never been to a Mexican style restaurant before that charges for a platter of nachos and salsa knowing that your there for a meal.
The chimichunga that I had was filled with awful tasting ground mush...nothing like any chimichunga that I have had elsewhere. It was unpalatable
The others at my table had similar comments..
VERY disappointed !
Where do I begin... our waitress was awful! Got the orders wrong and half way through I had to remind her that my husband never received his cocktail! I believe her problem was she didn’t write anything down and her memory couldn’t handle four people.
Next, the food- only the homemade gauc was good. We ordered tacos and they were not edible! The skirt steak was fatty, the chicken dry and the shrimp gross. The spice you use should be optional. It is for the chips!
My husband and I were up sick most of the night. Bloated burping and just plain nauseated. We took antacids twice, a half hour apart. Don’t expect us to every return!!
Tableside guacamole is always a hit! It's made to order so we can leave out the cilantro and make it as spicy as we want. I love that the chips are also seasoned. Chicken tacos were excellent. We eat here several times a year, it has never disappointed.
All I have to say is what a rip off. Posted with my review is a picture of the pathetic chicken and waffles, which should be called just waffles. A restaurant of this caliber should be ashamed to send food from the kitchen with not much to eat. I even contacted Rocco's mainly to let them know how terrible the food was, and no reply. Don't come here if you come with a hungry man, for a special occasion. This is only good for drinks.
Cool place for dinner with colleagues or fun dinner date. I was there on business and had a great meal. I sat at bar and really enjoyed the atmosphere and the attractive clientele. The tortilla soup was very good and order the tacos. Very tasty. The female bar server was spot on and very charming.
This was one of the worst experience I had. Service was beyond slow, food was terrible and the margaritas just as bad. The only
Good thing was the water and that was after I had to share the glass with my son because the one they gave me was dirty and the waiter never came back with a clean one.
We've eaten here many times. The pitcher of strawberry frozen margaritas lacked the alcohol. The guacamole was tiny. We noticed they were using very small avacados. The tacos were so spicey (we've had these every time we've been here) we're almost inedible. The salad with chicken had dressing that was also very Spicey. Very disappointing. Don't think we'll return. Tasted like there's a new chef.
I was disappointed with the food. First chips & salsa. The chips had a spicy seasoning on them which I totally disliked. There should have been an option to get chips with no extra seasoning. The food lacked any kind of flavor. The margaritas we ordered were good and our waiter was exceptional. I had been so intrigued by the decor and decent ratings that I still can't believe the food was such a disappointment!
