Rocco's Tacos & Tequila Bar - Boca Raton
Book your next event with us
This was a special day for me and my guests. The reservation was handled perfectly and the server was beyond kind helpful and just wonderful. I asked and he told me the Cobb Salad was worth the order and he was right. We loved our day. Thank You for asking
Great food and service
I’v eaten here several times with adults (always a great time) and on this visit took my grandchildren ages 4 and 7. The noise level is always “energetic” but you can definitely have conversations with the people at your table. On this occasion I was happy that this was the norm because my grandchildren were fascinated by the decor and the four year old expressed his pleasure vehemently (the nicest way to put it)... the staff counldn’t have been nicer or more accommodating. If you’re hesitant to try it with your kids because one of them isn’t an adventurous eater the kids menu has pasta shells with butter & cheese. The Boca location seems bigger than Delray and is much easier for parking since it’s in a small shopping center/strip mall (Atlantic Avenue in Delray can be “problematic”), and there’s valet if you need it.
The food and the margaritas were excellent. One of us had an issue with their dish and sent it back. The staff immediately rectified it and the manager came over to apologize and remove the dish from the bill. The service was outstanding and extremely friendly. I highly recommend to anyone who loves Mexican cuisine.
Had a great overall dining experience.
I found a hair in my food and some odd things in my salad. The waiter took the vegetables with the hair off the bill, no one said anything else, no manager etc. The hair was cooked on the vegetables, not just a fallen hair. He assure that me the brown things in kale salad must be almonds, even though they looked like pieces of fried food. I ordered the salad with no almonds being that I have an allergy. They forgot my tortillas and I had to ask twice. I really don’t recommend. I didn’t expect anything outstanding but this isn’t acceptable. I’m scared to think what the kitchen must look like. Disgusting!
Took 10 minutes for a waiter to approach us after being seated. Someone dropped off water but didn’t pour it into our glasses. Water glasses were exact same as our tequila shot glasses so it was easy to pick up the wrong drink. Chicken tacos were very dry, needed to swallow with water. Guacamole was excellent and prepared at the table. Server was friendly and polite. Will give it another chance in the future.
House margarita was not the best, tacos were outstanding.
Seated quickly, good food
Visited a few times. Food quality is consistent. Guacamole is really good with their seasoned chips. Highly recommended restaurant.
Everything was perfect
Love the tacos & guacamole prepared table side always consistently good
Fabulous meal, once again. Service was exceptional. I had a “few” margaritas and they were great. Guacamole was perfect! I had the paella and it was great. Tasty, diverse and just enough heat.
Derrick our waiter was outstanding. He is an asset to Rocco’s Tacos!
Awful service. Couldn’t get a refill on a drink. Server was nowhere to be found.
The pitcher of margaritas was only fair. The chips come with seasoning on them, so if you don't like that, remember to ask for plain ones. The guacamole was good, though.
Food was excellent and service was very good. A bit noisy but thats the nature of the place. Outside seating recommended. Inside is a bit dark. Food very good and healthy.
Always love Rocco. Fresh guacamole, great food and vibe
Food is consistently good. A bit loud. Pricey.
The only thing about the noise level is the music being played later makes it hard to have a conversation at your table. Other than that as always, the experience was great.
Great place but very noisy
A fun place to eat
It is our third time at Rocco’s, and you can’t go wrong. The guacamole is the best thing on the menu, it is delicious! The fish tacos are really good as well, and great outdoor and indoor dining! Always a good time
We were in town to see our son’s baseball team play and we were in mood for some Mexican food. Roco’s has a very cool, south Florida vibe with tables tiled with Mexican tile, outside dining with holiday lights used for decoration, and inside had a bar with spirits from eye level to the ceiling expanding 30 feet long or so (impressive even though I’m not a drinker). They were very busy but our wait person made sure to check in on us about our food, if we needed anything else, and refilling our drinks. So two not so great things. They are rated as moderate price, which may be the case for Florida, but we found that it was a little pricey for Mexican. Lastly, and most disappointing, our food tasted delicious going down but both of us had upset stomachs afterwards ☹️. If we we come back to this part of Florida, while we enjoyed our overall experience at Roco’s, we would probably try somewhere else.
We love coming to Rocco's in Boca. Leo was our server and he was outstanding, very personable and attentive. We love it so much we are going back again tonight, thanks from Coco and Friends!
Used to be my favorite place, not anymore unfortunately.Steak was overcooked(ordered medium rare-meat was literally burned even after we got a new one)The waiter was forcing us to leave asking too many time if we are done, then brought us the receipt that we didn’t ask yet.We felt very uncomfortable.
Rocco's Tacos is always a fun experience. The food is as authentic as can be for Mexican in South Florida. They crush and make the guacamole right at your table. Great happy hour too. Very loud and hectic environment so sometimes hard to hear your conversation...so dine outside if possible. Highly recommend for good Mexican food!
Rocco's Tacos is one of my favorite resteraunts. This time, the server was keen to my needs to get in and out for a movie, and obliged my need. The recomendations were helpful and everyone was friendly and accomodating. The food was, as usual good, clean, fresh and well seasoned. The drinks were well portioned as is the food. The only complaint would be the price. It is not overpriced because it was good and worth the premium, but it did feel like a premium. In my opinion, a 20% reduction in price, or even 10% would make the experience far more enjoyable.
The price won't stop me from going, but it will stop me from going more often. By the looks of it, they have plenty of business, so what do I know.
Been here many times w family and never had issues. Review is solely based on this visit.
Service was super slow. Had to ask 3x for my beverage, server never asked to refill (draft beers) of other attendees, had to ask for more reg water.
Everyone's food was good except the birthday girl. Her taco salad had so many bad thick ends of romaine that she couldn't eat it . We looked for our server for over 10 mins- she had just disappeared. Finally she returned and removed it from our bill, but at this point everyone was finished- I would have preferred to swap w something else and have her eat a full meal (and not have it removed from bill) but not given that option.
I dont know if she had another section far away from us or her if she was having a bad day, but this is not typical of the service at rocco's tacos.
Love how the place is decorated, food and drinks are great.
It's always good, great service & food. Fun atmosphere
CHANGED THE NACHOS FROM FANTASTIC TO FAIR. 1- HALF THE SIZE. 2-HARDLY ANY CHIPS. 3-NO SAUCE. JUST A DAB OF MUSHY GROUND BEEF. I HAD IT THIS WAY ON ATLANTIC AVENUE AND THOUGHT MAYBE IT WAS AN ACCIDENT, SO I TRIED IT AT BOCA RATON. IT WAS IDENTICAL.
Food was good, but not great. The enchiladas were a bit salty. I’ve been here before and find the food a little better than average for Tex-mex. Service was a bit slow
i ordered the l8 special of scrimp tacos and got 3. my friend ordered the regular shrimp tacos and got 2 for 7. we couldn"t figure that out. we will not order the "special" again. there was nothing special about it. the rest of the meal was good but expensive. the ambience was why we were there and will return.
Love the guacamole and tacos!
The noise level was incredibly high , we sat outside which I thought would be less noisy but it was really bad, felt like you had to yell across the table .
Nice, fun atmosphere. Food was drinks were good and waitstaff very attentive.
We love Rocco Tacos- but service was not up to their standard.
They brought out seasoned chips did not even offer regular chips.
Ordered a full plate of nachos, brought out half a plate- we said fine just leave it- knew it was our order bc it was chicken w no jalapeños but they said it was a different order and they would be right back- 10 min later w a burning hot plate and burning hot food after we ate everyone else’s food and were no longer hungry- they brought out our nachos that were “right there” waiting for us!
I mentioned it was my husband’s 60’th birthday and barely got a happy birthday.
Everyone else’s meal was terrific so good with the bad but it was very disappointing.
Good meal at reasonable prices. Happy hour drinks are a real bargain. Been here many times & continue to return.
Margarita was horribke
Great food and overall ambiance on a Saturday night. The guacamole is made table-side and is delicious, however I expected a little more enthusiasm or pleasantness from the person making it, it felt anti climactic.
