   Pretty westernised, everything was quite sweet. Meat portions are tiny.

   Food was OK but not top quality japaneese as you can find it in other bigger cities. But a good and light dinner - and fish was fresh.

   Robun has a friendly staff, nice decor, and pleasant atmosphere welcoming to all ages. Some dishes are standouts, specifically the tuna tartare and black cod. Other dishes are disappointing, the waygu beef over salted and overcooked, the espresso cheesecake pretty tasteless. The sashimi and maki rolls were standard, but tasty. The price for two people (£200+ with drinks) was high considering the mixed quality of the plates.

   The food was out of this world. I would definitely go back and recommend this restaurant to anyone

   The food was delicious but we were initially brought an aubergine dish instead of the duck that we ordered with no mention of what they had done. The aubergine was taken away when we queried this with the very polite waitress. Only after this were we informed that they had run out of duck and I ordered an alternative dish. Then they found a last duck dish and also asked if we'd like to keep the aubergine, which we declined. The rice dish which we had also ordered came 10 minutes after the duck which itself had been delivered 10 minutes after the chicken dish.

   We went for my birthday, the staff were really nice the food was amazing quite filling

   For two people we had edamame and pickles to start with and 7 dishes to follow, a selection of sashimi, tempura, tataki, cold and hot dishes, kimchi fried rice and everything was delicious and all perfectly prepared and presented. We finished the meal with a very nice mochi ice cream selection and their Kohi cheesecake. We had sake and white wine with the food, and umeshu with dessert. Service was excellent, Naomi was not only extremely friendly, but very knowledgeable. I would recommend Robun in Bath for a good quality dinner.

    Having eaten here a week ago and before that we enjoyed the food so much we asked about the special evenings with the ex Masterchef (Exec chef) cooking and presenting a tasting menu, we were strongly encouraged by the waitress who looked after us to book a table whilst we were there for Thursday 03 April as it was that special evening. When we turned up at 7:30 on Thursday 03 April there were only two people in the restaurant and no one seemed to know anything about the special evening saying 'sometimes they do it but no idea when the next one will be' Unfortunately the waitress who recommended we book for that evening wasn't working, however the food and was excellent, we just suggest that there needs to be a slightly better level of communication in the business.
