Friends of ours from NH saw the Robin's Nest on a FB post about best restaurants to dine at in all 50 states and asked to go there during their recent visit. The Robin's Nest did not disappoint. The food was delicious and it was SO nice to be able to talk during dinner. So many of the newer places are big and boxy AND noisy. This is a delightful place.
This was my first time there and I cannot wait to go back. The food is very good and reasonably priced.
Love this place. Charming in decor, Adventurous meals, excellent service.
Robin’s Nest is a special date place for me and my husband. I was greeted with a hello Lora! This was so impressive that my name was remembered. It was followed by a compliment of being one of their favorite guests !! We were escorted to a special little booth which was chosen for us. The food was as exceptional as always!! We had the nachos for appetizers. My salmon was perfectly cooked with a savory pineapple salsa!! My husband had the duck which he loved!! His French Toast Martini was so delicious he had two! This place is perfect from the wonderful staff to the food and drinks!! I highly recommend giving this place a visit.
We were able to dine outdoors since it was a beautiful day. The ambiance was great and the live dinner music enjoyable. Unfortunately the tuna taco shells were dried out (the tuna was so good so I ate the filling) and the brisket was overcooked. The salmon was delicious as was the strawberry feta salad. Overall we enjoyed the dinner experience and will be back!
A little pricey but the food is good quality and freshly prepared. Husband had a classic French onion soup which he said was the best he’s ever had. I had the goat cheese salad with house dressing, very good. Husband loved his tuna entree as well. I am doing Weight Watchers so I ordered a plain chicken breast which unfortunately was dry.
Service was pleasant and efficient. We were seated outside of the bar area, which was a little noisy, but not as noisy as some places I’ve been.
There is a bakery area in the front. The treats there looked good, but Weight Watchers, so no. Maybe next time.
Overall, a good experience, will try to get seated outside next time. Suggest making reservations.
The food and service were excellent. And the atmosphere was awesome.Definatly go back
I’ve been going to Robins Nest for years. Never been disappointed
Fantastic Easter Brunch Buffet!!
Always great food.
We went to the Robin's Nest for its Easter Brunch, 4/1/2018.
First the good news: the food quality is as excellent as ever! Really fabulous, especially the desserts. YUMMO! Plus, they have put all the main course food items under an enclosed tent, which makes it much, much easier to move around the restaurant for the buffet brunch - smart move!
The downside: the price has gone up from when we were here last 3 years ago and the price (which was advertised on their website as less than the bill showed, though they did nicely make adjustment to our bill) no longer includes a free mimosa and coffee or tea. Also the buffet didn't have an omelette station, as it had in year's past and there was no chipped beef - a personal favorite. Such is life!
All in all, it was very nice, but a bit less dazzling than I'd remembered it.
A warm welcome, friendly and well-timed service, quiet atmosphere, clean setting, great menu, excellent food, and a full-service b.v ar make the Robin's Nest the gem of Mt. Holly. A great place for couples, business meetings, and groups. Detraction: Expensive.
Good food, good waitress. noisy seating. We enjoyed the food but the room was too small for a party of 10 and us.
It was my mother’s 80th birthday. I indicated same on the reservations. This is a local spot and in the past was very good. Things have changed.
The food portions were large but were very bland. I had to put salt on my pasta. I can not remember the last time I had to season my food in a restaurant. Both my mother and I ate about a 1/4 of our entree. I should have gotten the clue when I asked if the entree I selected was good. The waitress response was that it was popular.
Our waitress was missing in action the majority of our dinner and the restaurant was not crowded. The restaurant was just not welcoming.
I again mentioned my mothers ‘s birthday and the waitress said happy birthday in the same sentence she asked it we wanted to see the dessert tray.
This was supposed to be a celebration so even though the meal was not good, we took a chance on dessert. The restaurant was consistent; even the cupcake was dry.
As bad as it was I still had a good time with my Mom....but we will not be back.
Really nice restaurant! Enjoy going there! Food is wonderful.
It’s always a pleasure to visit the nest! The service is great and the food is appealing to all tastes and dietary needs.
A delightful experience, as always.
We have loved the Robin’s Nest for over 25 years!
One of our favorite places!
The restaurant was lovely. The food was top notch. However, you must work on your friendliness and customer service. As soon as we walked in at 3:30...we were immediately told the kitchen would be closing at 4. When I made the “early dinner “ reservation...no one mentioned that. We felt like we had to hurry...advice: keep the kitchen open/or don’t mention it to the customer
......not everyone eats brunch/dinner at the same time....or don’t accept the 3:30 reservation.. (it was st. Patrick’s day) ALL DAY. No worries..we will be back.
Great. My friends first time there and she loved it
Sarah was a great server ! The food was delicious
Great meal, great service - a warm and comfortable place for dinner
One of my favorite local restaurants
Food is always good! Great drink menu, too! Service is wonderful, and the atmosphere is inviting. We love dining here.
We celebrated my mom's 80th birthday with Sunday Brunch and everything was wonderful -- great service and great food. The pastry chef also made her birthday cake. Thank you to the Robin's Next for making my mom's birthday a special one!
Everything is excellent! Great food, great service. The brunch menu is exquisite. Definitely going again.
I gave low scores for service and value because, I’m very disappointed that I requested a candle in my husbands dessert for his birthday on both open table and on the phone and they reassured me they would take care of it. It never happened and then I emailed the restaurant and got no response back. Other than that, it was good, but that ruined my perception of the restaurant. My requests were not taken seriously and when spending all that money, they should be. The host and server should have also checked for any notes.
My friend and I just finished an 11+ mile hike in the pine barrens, changed our clothes and went directly to the restaurant. We immediately fell in the love with the town and the restaurant provided the perfect, cozy but lively atmosphere we were seeking. The butter with honey that is offered before dinner was DELISH! We both enjoyed our dinners but I actually ordered something that I didn't like but it was well prepared it was just too risky of a choice for me. Well, the waitress (who up until that point was kind of aloof) insisted that I reorder which I really appreciated. My second meal was FANTASTIC (the Salmon). We then ended the night with a completely enormous piece of pie. I would go back here in a heart beat!
Wonderful experience as always
Staff is absolutely incredible and always makes us feel Special
Thank you
Good food, great service, love the decor. A place you can hold a conversation.
As an original customer who’s been dining here since it opened, I love this place. Robin is amazing and Kim is terrific.
Robin's Nest never disapoints. It is our absolute favorite for lunch! Seasonally, ask to sit outside...it is the best! Location is wonderful. Menu is varied, and nothing has ever been anything but delicious.
Different , healthy and wonderful food surrounded by quaint atmosphere.
We really enjoy this place. Very quaint. Food is very good and different. Highly recommend it.
Love Robin’s Nest! We will continue to come back.
Food was flavorless for all four of us. Mashed potatoes were among the worst I ever had. Cakes were ok but dry. We won’t be back!
We have come here time and time again! It is never a disappointment! Staff is always so friendly! Martinis and Sangria are just as flavorful as the food !
Love love love this place, always a great experience! The specialty cocktails are excellent, the soups are always changing and absolutely delicious, I’m obsessed with all their desserts!
Wonderful Valentines Day dinner
We have come to the Robin's Nest a few times. The food is so well prepared and tasty! Morever, the portions are generous, and the ambiance is really quite lovely. And they can bake. Really bake!
Finally, really nice wait staff. We had a tremendous evening here for Valentine's Day. There were five at our table, and all came away incredibly happy.
