Robin's Nest Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
We have come to the Robin's Nest a few times. The food is so well prepared and tasty! Morever, the portions are generous, and the ambiance is really quite lovely. And they can bake. Really bake!
Finally, really nice wait staff. We had a tremendous evening here for Valentine's Day. There were five at our table, and all came away incredibly happy.
This local eatery never disappoints! Member of our family requires low sodium which was not a problem. Also the dessert tray was over-whelming to my 4 year old granddaughter. She picked one which she hated & our bill was not charged! You can never have a bad dining day at this wonderful local spot! Support this great restaurant.
We've been here many time. We like to go here for special occasions too. The food is great. The atmosphere is our taste - Victorian. Yummy bakery goods sold in display case. Baked on premises. Desserts are to die for. Small, quaint bar with pub tables too. Outside eating areas are tiered and small stream alongside. Sometimes there is live music that is low enough as to not disrupt your conversation.
Just love this place. They do take reservations. Debbie, the manager is very nice and accommodating. Highly recommend.
We had lunch there several times, but this was our weekend meal. To be fair to the restaurant, there was a festival that afternoon, and they were trying to recover from the lunch crowd. Because of that the service was very slow, but the food was very good. I'm sure we will return therefor another meal in the future.
Alway like Robins Nest! They especially serve amazing lunches and brunches. I actually like them better, sometimes their dinner menu seems to cater to more of a spicier palate, which we do not like. My husband got the sausage and peppers, and too spicy for him. I notice that alot of their dishes are trending toward spice, which is not our thing. I think we need to go back to a Miso Salmon, not a Cajun Salmon. Don't change a good thing and I notice that seems to be the trend, stay with your old favorites.
We went for my birthday and had not been here in several years. When we were first seated we were near a table with a couple of people that were loud and rude for a nice restaurant- it is not a tavern atmosphere My husband discreetly asked if we could move to another area. The staff was very understanding and accommodating and we had one of the nicest and most delightful meals in a long time. The roasted Brussel Sprout appy was delicious as was the pecan cranberry chicken and the short ribs in sauce over rigatoni. The desserts were heavenly too! Glad we went back!
It was not a bad experience but i think it was a little overpriced gor the quality food you get. I got the brisket and it was a bit bland and chewy. Tge mash potatoes were clumpy as well. Very tight as well, we were seated on the deck and your kind of ontop of the ppl next to you.
awesome experience every time, my all time favorite place in the world. I love the cozy welcome feeling I get every time I come for a meal. Doreen is the very best, she makes every visit friendly like family being with family.
I love you guys, MERRY CHRISTMAS!
See you next time!
Went to lunch with my mother on her recommendation. So glad I did. Loved the atmosphere and decor - quaint main street feel. Staff was friendly and the food was outstanding. The menu has plenty to choose from, all out of the norm and creative. Can't wait to go back again!
A Gathering Place for Friends - My visit to Robin's Nest was one of three this month. Seems whenever my friends get together, this is their choice of a place to go. The food is wonderful. I can find many things I like on the menu, and ordered something different each of the three times I came. The service is attentive and I am always greeted personally when I arrive. Easy, free parking is an extra bonus. I'll be back!
This was a really beautiful evening. Snow was falling softly outside over Historic Mt. Holly and a two-piece jazz band was playing softly in the background. A very quaint and romantic evening. The service was slow and my beef was not cooked to my liking, but neither of those did anything to dampen the romantic mood of the evening. I'd recommend this little neighborhood gem to anyone.
The food was good and the service was good as well. I guess for what I paid it was decent. I would not say it it was over the top or that the dishes were overly creative. It was good food at a fair price. Probably a place that I might go back to for businessBut not something I would look forward to for myself.
My wife and I enjoyed an excellent dinner for two while we watched the Mount Holly Christmas parade and tree lighting ceremony from the second story window. No problem with the reservations, requested and received the table we wanted. Soups were excellent. Dinner was very well prepared. Excellent desert tray.
