Robin's Nest Restaurant
The Robin's Nest Restaurant is situated in a beautifully restored Victorian building filled with antiques; and, located in the heart of downtown Mount Holly overlooking the Rancocas Creek. Our upstairs seats 60 with the downstairs offering several private dining rooms and an old fashioned bar. Warm weather brings with it the opening of the waterside bar and dining. The patio often offers live music and is always dog friendly.
I love everything about this restaurant except the noise level. No matter when I have gone, the tables are pretty close but wide and I always have issues hearing the person I am dining with.
Service was excellent.
It PAINS me to give this rating - I was so excited to finally eat here. So - my friends said their meals were AMAZING however, I was stoked to have the plant-based meatloaf which ended up not being on the menu so I had the Veggie Sauté instead. It had a base of quinoa - which was cold, like refrigerator cold when it arrived and was topped with sautéed vegetables that had almost not flavor at all. The dessert was amazing - pecan pie. But I can’t look past the bland and half cold meal that was over $23. I’ll likely try again but my first impression ... not so good.
Love the outdoor patio
We celebrated a birthday on the upper deck and it was wonderful. The food, service, and atmosphere were all
I had the blackened Ahi tuna... which I asked to be seasoned lightly. It came out exactly as I requested. It was delicious.
Always the most delicious food and great ambiance.
Love it there
The service was impeccable but the food was subpar. The fried shrimp & grits were overall good but only 3 shrimp. The sausage & peppers were the most flavorful. With my family being from the south, I would never order their chopped bar b q again. My pink Cosmo drink was good.
Amazing food in a perfectly quaint setting. We live The Robins Nest & would highly recommend it to anyone!
Booked on an evening that the town was having fireworks. Since this was a Victorian home, the dining area was like eating in someone's dining room. Very comfortable with good food and service.
We just love the food, decor and staff at Robin's Nest. It is also one of the few restaurants that offer real gluten free options (not just salad-bread, wraps) and I don't get sick....
We had a great dining experience for my husband’s birthday dinner. Our server was friendly and attentive and the food was amazing! We will definitely be going back.
The food was delicious, the server was pleasant and efficient. However, it was disturbing to have psychic on hand to give readings. I even got a call earlier in the day asking if we wanted to schedule a reading. I almost canceled my reservation because psychics are charlatans at best or a gateway into the occult. I hope you don't continue this practice or we'll have to find another restaurant for our special occasions.
We had dinner before the Eddie Ifft comedy show which was very very good. Robins nest was gracious enough not to enforce the 2 drink minimum since we just finished dinner
We were a party of 4; all of us had different things & every dish was outstanding. Shout out for the Brussel sprouts. Wow! Service was so slow. We were never asked if we wanted another cocktail (which took an inordinate amount of time in the first place) waiting for about 45 mins more fo our entrees with no one checking in on us. Charming interior, an outstanding array of homemade cakes. So if u go enjoy your meal but set low expectations for the service.
We were seated in the front side room. Very nice ambience and our dinner was quite good. Overall an enjoyable evening.
The service is always pretty horrible but the food is AMAZING! Really cute quaint spot.
Got the fish tacos. Unfortunately they were lacking in flavor. Loved the outdoor seating though!
The food lacked flavor from appetizer to desserts. The 2 person band the keyboard was way to loud I could talk to my husband across the table from me. The venue was beautiful.
Great evening, beautiful weather so we opted to dine outside on the patio by the water. The live entertainment made it perfect.
Had brunch outside on a beautiful. Interesting menu with creative options. There were multiple things I wanted to try. Also, great drink selection
Very good. All our meals were delicious. Attentive staff. Nice list of cocktails
Lovely setting. I especially enjoy the deck over the river. Device is pleasant and efficient. My fried brussel sprouts (bar fare) were very good.
Everything was delicious including the chilled strawberry soup.
Great food and fantastic service. Very nice wine and drink selection.
I made a reservation to celebrate a friend's birthday. The food was delicious and our very nice waitress let us take our time to enjoy our lunch and to enjoy spending some time together. We love coming to the Robin's Nest; it's one of our favorite restaurants!!
Excellent food! Great service! The hummus is amazing.
Great, however after we paid the bill no one offered us additional water, which would have been nice.
Had to wait almost an hour for our food. By the time it got to the table, we were ready to leave.
Delicious lunch on the patio overlooking the creek.
Must try the desserts!!
Good food , although I didn’t like my entree that much ... other people liked food and dessert.
I would recommend this restaurant to my friends . Groupon helped me try it .
Not what I remembered. The goat cheese salad used to be medallions but it was a huge hunk of goat cheese. The plate it was served on was too small and it was difficult to eat. The mahi tacos were just OK. Orange frommage cake is really my reason for coming. Would consider just dessert.
Had a wonderful lunch celebrating our anniversary. It was a beautiful day to enjoy our lunch on the patio. My husband ordered a pulled pork sandwich with delicious mashed potatoes. I had the turkey sandwich on a gluten free bun. I have Celiac Disease and mentioned to our server that I needed the kitchen to be as careful as they could of cross contamination. I was so pleased that I did not get sick. We love this place and I am glad that we gave the restaurant another chance.
Robin's Nest is my go to restaurant when I want to have a visit with a friend. The food is yummy, the service is perfect and if you are there in mid afternoon, there is no rushing you out. Its a charming restaurant and eat lighter (I didn't yesterday) because the desserts are to die for!
Lovely atmosphere, dined outside, service was super slow, food was okay but could have been hotter , will give another shot maybe changing my opinion
Had a friend visiting..it was beautiful night out..sat outside..dinner was delicious but service was slow..little pricey...should get salad included considering prices...
When we arrived we were surprised to learn that there was seating outside along a small stream in the rear of the building. The ambiance was amazing on a sunny 70 degree day and perfect for a business meeting. I had the Mahi Mahi tacos for lunch which were great! You can park on the street nearby or in the parking lot across the street.
Service was very slow. Nice cozy atmosphere. Food was ok. Very large portions.
First the positives: They have a beautiful, two-level outdoor patio with lots of seating that we really enjoy in the warmer months. And it is one of the only area restaurants where we can bring our dog along, as they allow well-behaved dogs on the patio. So we will likely keep returning for these reasons, even though this last visit was a bit disappointing. The food is good, maybe just a little bit pricey for what is offered - entrees in the mid-20s. But there are some cheaper options on the bar menu, and I do not mind paying a bit extra for the entrees given the special atmosphere. Everything from the regular menu is always quite tasty. Their desserts are really delicious, too. And they also have a kids menu, which is helpful when we have our son with us. My complaints are: 1) The pizza from the kids menu seemed like it came from the freezer section of the local grocery store. I don't mind paying a bit extra for the special atmosphere and in light of the fact that this is a mom and pop restaurant, not some big chain, but feel the pizza really should have been either cheaper or better quality. 2) The service was slow and inattentive. It took almost an hour for our food to arrive, including our son's obviously-pre-made pizza. And no one bothered to give us an update, or even check on us to see if we needed anything while we waited. We had to flag the waiter down 45 minutes into our wait to see if our food would be coming soon. And he did not bother to apologize for the long wait when we inquired - just said our order was next up in the kitchen. We were also missing a place setting for our son, which, though we brought that to our waiter's attention, never arrived. We ended up using the napkin from the bread basket as our son's napkin, and not bothering to ask again for cutlery, since he was eating pizza anyway. 3) I ordered a classic mojito, and it was not a mojito at all -- no sugar and no rum! Made with gin maybe? Sent it back.
Haven’t been to robins nest in years. It did not disappoint. Excellent choices on the menu. Food was delicious and of course desserts are yummy. Glad to see it’s still going strong!
Wonderful waterside seating on a beautiful night! Food was well presented and good.
