Super long wait
Food is not good at all
Order fOIs gras out with bacon super hard fried oily
Steam fish for the day super salty
Waited 1.5 hour with two seperate table
Sit in front of a bar alcohol spilled on my face when making it
Not worth at all
Great cocktails, food, service and atmosphere here! Really enjoyed it and will be back the next time I am in Montreal.
Great meal - creative cuisine, novel takes on standards such as cheesecake; excellent service. We're highly recommending it
Great food, with decent service.
The. Chef was sick which caused a lot of delays. The food was excellent once we finally got it. They could have done more to fill the void.
Overall, great experience, delicious food, and fantastic service.
I had a wonderful dinner here. My server Sam was attentive, friendly and made great recommendations. I'm pretty picky when it comes to my dining experience, so I'm not easy to please. But, I really liked this place a lot! I also really liked the vibe. It was casual/elegant but fun and youthful...not stuffy at all. Highly recommend!
Wonderful dinner with friends. Waiter spilled my glass of red wine on me and did not even apologize or even offer to comp us for anything. Other than that the meal was fabulous.
Great energy in Robin square. I love the casualness of the decor and really motivated servers. The menu is really thoughtful, with plenty of variety and some nice interpretations of classic dishes. I had the bouibaisse and it was a lovely rendition. Instead of a saffrony broth, this came with a squid ink broth. The fish was poached perfectly and the lightness of the dish was amazing. Great service and kudos to the team there
Absolument parfait ! J’y retournerai sans détour !
Mac and cheese was better than I expected - even after reading all the good reviews! Highly recommend you also ask for their home made cola. It was delicious and refreshing! We made a reservation for right at 6 when they opened - but wasn't necessarily needed.
Our reservation was for later on a Sunday night, so the restaurant was pretty empty and we probably didn't have the typical experience, but we loved our time at Robin Square! The waiter was so attentive (even bringing us a round of drinks on the house after we finished our meal, as we visited on St.Patricks day) and really did a great job of explaining the menu and helping us find wine pairings. The food was amazing and the atmosphere is very modern and inviting. We will definitely come back the next time we're in Montreal!
We really enjoyed the reception, and then the staff treatment as soon as we sat. We didn’t feel pressured to order booze. We were left to ponder the menu for a realistic amount of time. We absolutely loved all the dishes we ordered from the apps to the past to the Cornish hens. My daughter agreed it was fabulous to enjoy a meal chez vous.
Foods are perfect. We like them! The waiters are very kind. They will introduce the foods that you choose, from materials and productive way. It’s a very good experience! We’ll go again.
It was some of the best service we’ve ever had. The gentlemen was very attentive and friendly. The food was delicious. Tasty and superb quality.
Food tasteless, small portions, expensive, only the service was great
Had an early dinner, so we lucky to have almost the whole restaurant to ourselves. Lovely ambiance and setting. Attentive service. A menu that celebrates local ingredients and Quebec heritage. We had the red beet soup, fish swagg, foie gras croque monsieur, and the ultimate experience (pork belly) - and our favourites were the first and last dishes listed. My only personal quibble is I found the foie battered and deep fried really wierd, so cut off all the batter to enjoy the dish. My friend and I definitely recommend anyone eating here!
Amazing food amazing music and loved every single bite, Mac and cheese was more of a rigatoni for the brisket version which was fantastic and not as heavy. Highly recommend,
I took my parents and we absolutely loved the food! We had brie, palenta, steak, bouillabaisse and would recommend it all. The music was a little loud and genre all over the place, but at the same time the atmosphere was really happy and enjoyable.
Amazing experience on Sunday night! The quality of the service and of the food are both out of this world. The food did take some time to come out however, but they were quick to offer a free drink for our wait. It was our third time at the restaurent within a year, and every time our experience has gotten better and better. I would highly recommend this restaurent to anyone.
The restaurant ran out of half of their menu -- claiming to be a very busy weekend -- however, this was the Saturday evening of a long weekend ... can't imagine what they'd be doing the remainder of the time. Food we did get was overseasoned -- so incredibly salty!!! Had a difficult time eating it. Service was incredibly slow. It was like they had 2 wait staff for the entire place. Wouldn't go back, and wouldn't recommend to anyone.
Fine dining, but NOT pretentious. Awesome............
Mostly good, but the wait for the food - an hour - was unacceptable.
Fantastic food, service and experience. Family owned and run and literally the whole family is involved!
Our experience was absolutely perfect! We ordered the polenta, Mac and cheese, and pork belly and were blown away by the flavor profiles; everything was incredibly delicious. The service was impeccable and the ambiance was fantastic for a nice evening out. I would go there every week if I could, I wish this restaurant was in the US
I made plans to come eat at Robin Square as soon as my trip to Montreal was set. It is such a great restaurant, and was just as delicious as I remembered the last time!
Menu pas varié,
Repas trop cher,
Plats trop écœurants !
Seul bon point : les cocktails !
This was our first time and we really enjoy the place the ambiance and the fantastique food. This was for an after New Year Dinner with family and friends. You can not go wrong going there! you will love 'It.
The food was as incredible as our first visit. The new space is gorgeous and comfortable. The only thing was service seemed a little discombobulated. After we ordered drinks, our server came back to see if we wanted to order drinks. When we stared blankly back, she realized she had already taken our drink order. We ordered a starter which when we received our main course instead of the starter we realized it had been forgotten. The food on the other hand was amazing! Dare I say, better than our last visit! And do not skip the inventive cocktail list!
Wonderful ambiance; professional service; excellent food; amazing cocktails; enjoyed the music (60s-80s).
Those who raise concerns over the price point may not fully understand the cost of maintaining such an establishment - everything was high quality. I happened to see deliveries being made to the restaurant earlier in the day - from what I could tell their produce, dairy and meat products were delivered from the best suppliers in Montreal. And clearly, the chefs, and mixologist are extremely talented. Adding to the cost must be the rent - in such an amazing location, can’t be cheep.
Can’t wait to visit them again.
Good but too pricey for what we had. Service was medium - didn’t have everything on the menu, missed our appetizer and didn’t check on meals.
Amazing! This single dinner made our trip to Montreal from Cleveland worth it. Ranked in top 20 of all Montreal restaurants, it's modestly priced, locally sourced food, family owned and run, and simply amazing.
We loved our experience!! The cocktail selection and drinks were outstanding. Food was delicious. Service spectacular. What made this experience doable was that it was kid-friendly!! They were gracious to two foodies bringing along three young (picky) children. They had stylish melamine plates and plastic cups for the children. And a high chair/booster for our 1 year old. Our reservations were at 5 pm and most others had brought children as well. We were grateful to be accommodated so kindly!
Solid food...something missing though.
Very friendly staffs & services. The wait staffs & bar tender were all very attentive to your experience on taste of your meals selections and drinks. They have great craft cocktails and will make something special if you asked. The restaurant has a great location also. It’s good place to visit when you are in Montreal.
Great meal and service
We had excellent service. The soup was very tasty. However, the vegetarian/vegan options are very limited and not particularly good unfortunately. The Mac ‘n cheese which was supposed to be very good is actually quite ordinary.
Not very good value for the money.
